It's really not that hard. It's common sense.

Okay well where do I begin... I am a former employee of Forever 21 and really 50 percent of the customers that call customer service seem not to understand that to run company big or small there will be rules policy and regulations that must be applied. The return policy we have is to me not that difficult to abide by. We will reimburse/exchange defective items if ordered online. If you purchase them in a store you have the time to inspect the merchandise in store before purchase therefore we will not accept any defective items in store. Honestly we don't know if you took the merchandise home and damaged it yourself.

Now about the HORRIBLE return policy we have it's really not that bad. Just get your butts back to the store before 21 days and have the tags attached with the receipt and we will be happy to give an exchange or store credit. If you lose the receipt too bad sorry that's your fault don't come to us like you are the queen of the universe and we must accept your attitude. NO SORRY!!!! Come on people it's only common sense not brain surgery.

Beware E-Business Practices

The worse online buying process!!! I ordered a $100 e-gift card for a gift early on Saturday morning as a gift for Sunday. No reason to expect that it wouldn't be a near-immediate transaction. 12 hours later I get an email telling me that I have to call my bank and get a verification number. Ugh? The bank is closed on the weekends so my Sunday gift is now late.

I called Forever 21 on Monday morning and am told that they already have the verification number, but I have to call the bank to get it again and then tell them so that they can compare it. Again, ugh? They also tell me that I can fax them a picture of my credit card and when received they would immediately send the e-gift card.

When I called back to check on it, I was told that it could be another 24 hours before it was sent. UGH? By this time I am way past irate and the second person I talked to took the time to contact the supervisor and she assured me that the order would be processed. So the advice is -- find another company to buy from or at least stay away from their online services. I would hate to have you asking ugh? ugh? UGH?

MANCHESTER, CONNECTICUT -- I have been to Forever 21 three times and out of those three times, two of my purchases have broke or have ripped within a couple days of purchase. The stuff they sell is cheap, but do not be fooled. They SELL it cheap because it is MADE cheap.

I purchased a necklace my second time there and it broken within the next day. Recently, I went back and bought a wallet, which ended up ripping on its own. When going back with my receipt to see if they would exchange it, they replied no and that they do not accept "damaged items". If they do not accept them, why do they sell them? I had no problem with the people who worked there; however the quality of clothing and other merchandise is considerably lower than other stores. I would highly recommend that you do not shop at this store.

NORTH CAROLINA -- My teenage daughters have shopped a lot at our local Forever 21 in NC. Recently we were looking for a dress and the only one in the correct size was on the mannequin. I asked if someone could help us trade dresses so my daughter could try that size on as it was the only one. The manager refused, saying that the mannequins were only changed on Monday. I asked if he could dress it with another dress. He again said "No." I asked if he were willing to lose a sale instead of being helpful and he said "Yes." I won't shop there again. I have tried to find contact emails and numbers on line to no avail. These people don't want to be found!

NEWPORT NEWS, VIRGINIA -- I am a resident in Newport News, Va and I was ecstatic that Forever 21 was finally coming to my area. Well since it has been here that store has been nothing but trouble. The employees are stuck up and very rude. You ask them for help and they act like they are too occupied and they are doing nothing but standing around and talking. The store is terribly messy. You cannot even find where the sale items are, you cannot shop in that environment at all.

When you walk past and see how messy it is you just walk past because you know you will not be able to find anything. There are racks of clothing in the middle of the floors, clothing on floor, top of shelving not folded, it looks like someone's messy closet if you ask me. Ridiculous! I will never shop there again!

AWFUL! I bought my daughter a dress at the Forever 21 in NYC - I need to return it (I live in NC) and have tried numerous times to email customer service and I have never heard back. I tried to call both the customer service office, and most recently the corporate offices. Terrible! There is no voice mail and therefore no way to leave a message. The corporate number, in fact, just rang and rang without even a message. I cannot believe they operate like this. I will not spend another penny at Forever 21.

VIRGINIA -- Customer beware--Forever 21 has TERRIBLE RETURN POLICIES! Check them out carefully & be sure you want the item before you purchase. I think they take advantage of naive young shoppers! Once you place your online order, you cannot cancel it even though they haven't shipped it!

LYNCHBURG -- My daughter bought a pair of sandals that she just had to have from her favorite store Forever 21. She used her own money and loved them so much she wore them out the store. They broke before we got to the car! The staff in the store could have cared less and offered her a gift card because they don't give cash back. This store really is the worst and they don't care about their customer. Shame on you Forever 21 owners!

Awful Customer Service

LOS ANGELES (S.F. VALLEY), CALIFORNIA -- Bought shirt & it turned out to have a hole in it. Tried to return it but they wouldn't take it back even though it was within their return time. Their customer service people won't even return my calls or emails. I hope they are one of the businesses that go under in 2009, they don't deserve our money.

AIEA, HAWAII -- Store managers and sales associates at Forever21 are trained by the company that there is absolutely no returns. Even if you purchase a damaged item, consider it "final sale". Have a problem with a credit card transaction? You'd be better off working it out with your credit card company. Many people complain about the customer service at the stores, long lines and messy store.

The reality is that the company really doesn't care... It's privately owned and doesn't have to answer to anyone. It's profit-driven someone should really look into their employment practices.
