Hydroxatone's Free Offer Is A Setup - Beware!
By -

SACRAMENTO -- I saw an ad for 30-day risk free trial of Hydroxatone anti-aging cream and decided to order it. The person I spoke to said they were also offering a free travel publication that included coupons and bargains, so I told them to send it. I was told I would be only be charged for shipping and handling. (I was naive enough to think I would receive a small amount of the cream to use for 30 days and could make a full order if I liked it.)

I received 2 large jars of the cream. An insert explained that I needed to return the jars within 30 days or I would be automatically billed $69.95 for the cream. I knew I didn't want to pay this amount for ANY anti-aging cream, so I immediately called the company on 6/24/08 and cancelled my account. Fortunately, I read several complaints online about this company's tendency to continue billing customers and claim that they didn't receive the returned jars. So, I paid extra to get a "Delivery Confirmation" receipt from the post office. I sent the jars on 6/28/08 and confirmed through the post office that they received the jars on 6/30/08.

Well, you guessed it, a charge for the cream was billed to my account on 7/28/08 which I am now disputing. In addition, 2 publications, "Easy Saver" and "American Leisure" appeared on my account with bills for $16.95 each. When I called to ask who they were, the person told me I signed up to receive the magazines (which I never received) when I ordered the free trial of Hydroxatone cream. Fortunately, she refunded the charges. This is such a scam! Don't fall for it.

JERSEY CITY, NEW YORK -- I felt that I was tricked into a receiving a miracle cream, Hydroxatone for $2.00. After getting my credit card details to pay my $2.00 postage, the account came up as an $139.90 total amount in which they will keep sending the products and bill for creams in which I do not want. I just wanted to try the free (?) sample I have tried to contact by phone several times but to no avail. The phone no are 001180023587491, which is a Jersey city in the USA. I live in Australia and can imagine the cost of the calls.

I sent for free sample, they rang me and said it is in USA so I canceled order. Then I see my credit bill $1.99 but next bill they took $69.95 I have written them and told them to stop. Today I got home to find a package from them. I have not opened it but I am betting there is going to be another charge on my statement from them which I can't afford, so wanting to try free sample only is sending me broke and giving me stress. Someone needs to stop this scam they are doing, robbing people who only want a freebie to try. THIS SCAM NEEDS TO BE STOPPED AND MONEY RETURNED TO PEOPLE.

Hydroxatone Ripped Me Off!!!

SCAMVILLE, NEW JERSEY -- I tried "free sample" from Hydroxatone and I did not like the product. I called and after being very affirmative that I did not want to order this product or pay for it, I was told to return product in timely manner which I did. I just checked my bank account and I was charged for the Hydroxatone face cream that I only used 1 time. I returned this product with 2 full jars and the toning lotion that was sent to me.

I am shocked that I was treated this way and I want my money back!! I just recently went on disability and I explained this to the customer service agent I spoke to. I didn't like it and I couldn't afford it. I can't believe this company treated a disabled woman on a limited income this way during the Christmas season no less!! I will get my money back if I have to go to the Better Business Bureau, the Federal trade commission, the Attorney general, or my local congressman. This is fraud. I was scammed. Don't try this product!!

Don't Purchase

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- I never observed the results promised in their advertisements. Furthermore, you can purchase products containing the same or similar ingredients, at your local drug store and probably for a lot less. On another note, I purchased the product through a trial membership. Because the product proved ineffective, I called to cancel. I was told I must return any and all bottles sent to me during the trial. I had received 2 bottles and finished 1 and thankfully, had yet thrown away the bottle I had finished using otherwise I would have been charged to "continue" the product.

Their cancellation policy is what says more about the character of the company than even does their product which clearly doesn't live up to their hype. Clearly returning the products allegedly paid for during the trial is inconvenient, petty, and suggests this company knows nothing about building relationships with the public.

Hydroxatone Isn't Worth It.

JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY -- Just a warning to anyone who might be interested in trying the under eye cream or for that matter any product from this company. Set aside that the product did not work for me at all - the PROBLEM came when I tried to cancel all future shipments. I called January 29th and explained that I no longer wanted the automated shipments ($146.85) and to please cancel all future orders. The person (male) that I spoke with had no problem in canceling my order etc...

March came around and I received another shipment - I called again and explained that I cancelled the "membership" in January. Unfortunately I did not retain my cancellation number and they knew they had me at that point. I contacted my credit card company and they investigated, unfortunately they were not able to help me either. This company's error cost me another $146 - you just got to ask yourself if this isn't a part of their overall plan. They got an extra $146 from me but I learned a good lesson - don't sign up for anything from this company, they won't cancel future shipments without a fight.

JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY -- I cancel the product but they still tried to bill me for it and send the product back that I had as a trial package. I don't think that is right.

I received a sample and so glad I did not invest any money for this product. The product feels weird and flakes when used. Skin was red when I removed it.

Cancellation
By -

HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA -- I called to cancel before my month was up for the free Hydroxatone and Radialabs to send return label and never received it. Another shipment of Radialab came and I left it in the mailbox. I do not want either of these products and I had better not be charged for them or I will contact Better Business Bureau. That is how they sucker you in with free product and just pay shipping. Very unhappy customer.
