Horrible Selections and No Refund

Rating: 1/51

I booked using an accommodation certificate, went to cancel it and was told I would not get a refund despite cancelling the trip over 90 days prior to going. Then I tried to book at a different resort using the certificate and was told there was no availability despite seeing availability with another certificate. Absolutely stupid that the availability shown was not able to be used. Utterly ridiculous.

Run as Far Away as Possible

ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- This by far has been one of the worst customer service experiences ever! The employees do not have a clue of what their policies are or how points are exchanged, especially if you banked them from Marriott. At this point, dealing with them is cost me so much more than any points I have with them. But, I guess that is the point of their lack of cooperation or knowledge. If you make it so difficult the customer just won't come back.

Inability to Exchange Timeshare

Rating: 1/51

Basically it is impossible to exchange our Kauai timeshare for the places we want to go. Literally nothing is available, or available for one week in December. It has gotten much worse over the years and is currently (2019) impossible to book anything at anytime in areas we desire. Yes, the word "rip-off" comes to mind.

They Just Do Not Know What They Are Doing

MIAMI, FLORIDA -- If you talk to 3 different agents you will get three different answers to your question. If you seek resolution to a problem or issue with your exchange, you have get a suggestion on what to do. When it comes time to implement the agent's suggestion, the agent you are currently dealing with will have no idea what you were previously told or by whom.

FLORIDA -- Booked a week in Washington DC and paid $1700 and got a confirmation number. Got there and no one knew a thing!!! Three hours later I had to get a room and pay $3800. To this day I cannot get thru to discuss this with anyone so I stopped payment. Been with them for 25 years. They take your money and you can never trade for a week. They are always overbooked and switch your stay to a different resort, or in this case don't even have a place to stay!!!

Don't Trade Your Week for Hotel Stays!

FLORIDA -- I had to bank our Westin 2 bedroom lock off on Maui due to health reasons. When I tried to find a resort to exchange to, there were no acceptable options even with the "trading power of Hawaii". I felt like I was ripped off. I could book ONE NIGHT at the Disneyland Hotel in CA in exchange for our entire week on Maui! I also had to pay $159 (or $179, don't recall) fee for doing this.

Did Not Want This Membership

MIAMI, FLORIDA -- I received a "Congratulations on becoming a vacation owner." I have a timeshare at Lahaina Inn Resort and never signed up for Interval International that has all kinds of fees and regulations. What a mess. From the reviews I can't imagine anyone joins this membership, Use Airbnb or HomeAway. They have fees but you know what you get before you pay.

Poor Customer Service

FLORIDA -- First you pay for membership. They provide promotional codes that don't work and worst of all try calling to speak with customer service that you pay for. Expect super long wait times. I am very disappointed in their customer service and feel like it continues to go downhill and yet they raise exchange rates. They need new management!

Trying to Cancel My Vacation by Lying

MIAMI, FLORIDA, NEW YORK -- Lied to me and told me Villa Roma Resorts will be closed the first week in April 2018 due to a Hurricane. So they have to cancel my vacation. I have spoken to the resort. They are NOT closed at all and they reported there should not be a problem with my reservation. Interval representatives still claim it is closed. I have spoken to customer service, resolution dept & relocation dept. No one will help me. Please. I just want the vacation I paid for.

MIAMI, FLORIDA -- They call us every few years and talk us into extending our membership. They said if no longer had our timeshare that they would prorate a refund. They lied. We are being cheated. We are not getting a prorated refund. Much less. Do not believe anything they verbally tell you. Insist on getting it in writing. They would not have provided it in writing but then we would not be cheated by them now.
