Hello, my name ** . I live in Fresno, Ca. I purchased a waterslide from Toy-R-Us for 544.00 dollars, and before completing the transaction I asked about the warranty. The gal said "oh, it's 1 year" I was satisfied and made the purchase. Five hundred dollars is a lot of money when you're not working, but the kids really wanted the slide, so we did it. May 29th 2010, is when we got it didn't use till June 12th. Now I live in Fresno and weather permitted we used the slide only a few times through June and July. Come August we wanted to use it for a party, on August 21st, I set it up and it was ready to go and boom! ...it ripped a huge hole on the side. The seam tore apart.
I contacted the customer service, they said send them e-mail. I sent the receipt, pictures of the damage. They e-mailed back and said "Sorry, it's past 60 days." I wrote back not understanding what 60 days meant. I said "Toys-R-Us said 1 year." They wrote back "well Toys -R-Us is wrong it's 2 months warranty." I wrote back "What kind of scam is this? My slide blew up in less than 75 days and we didn't even use it that much cause of the weather..." They didn't care. I sent them 3 e-mails, they said "Sorry, but thank you for buying Banzai waterslides goodbye." I'm pissed what can I do????
I bought the kids a Wipeout Curve waterslide last year. The kids both 6 & 8 and both under 100 lbs. They used the slide for the three summer months of 09. The slide was dried and put away. Went to take the slide out this year and it will not hold enough air to keep it inflated when the kids were on it. We looked the slide over and a majority of the seams are coming apart and the fabric seems to be "Cheap". I e-mailed the company and was told only a two month warranty.
I called them and they were the rudest people that I have had to deal within my opinion. I called them again today because they were too busy a week ago to talk to me and asked for my number to call me back but one week later no call. So here I am stuck with a $650 slide and no way to use it. I could have used the money to buy a season pass for the family for the pool. I would not and will not recommend this company for any purchases. Hopefully another company makes these type of slides and I can do business with them. No more TOY QUEST for me.
I'm very disappointed in your products. Your pictures on the box are very deceiving and misleading to the parent and child purchasing the product. I'm a childcare provider and parent and care a great deal for the children I have and care for and the way your company misrepresents your products is disgusting and just simply dishonest. My six year old son comments once the Cannon Ball slide was set up and said "Mom when I grow up I won't be this mean to kids, I will make a slide better than this and make kids smile not cry." What does this say about you?
I'm even more disappointed at your customer service department, nobody answered the phone after listening to repeat messages for 10 min, and then was hung up on. I couldn't even leave a complaint in your online customer service, it said I wasn't logged in. I will never purchase another product made by this company and I will tell everyone I know and have already sent out an e-mail to everyone in my inbox about this dishonest company. This company is criminal and just out to rip families off, families that are just trying to find something fun for their children to do on a hot day. Disgusted.
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- Purchased slide on April 2, 2009 for my 2 kids for the summer. After only a couple of uses, the top seam of the pool began to tear. Called customer service and was told to use fishing string to sew that area. Tried this, but still did not work. The slide would not stay up or hold my kids. My wife called customer service back and was told to purchase a can of spray glue. This also failed. I call customer service in the beginning of July to complain and was told there is only a 60 day warranty. I was upset since the first 2 calls were within the warranty period. Since then I have been given the runaround by this company.
Customer service called me and asked for pictures after I sent them a copy of my receipt. I found this to be strange since the receipt clearly showed the slide I purchased. I even included pictures of the slide with my daughter on it showing the problem. Once again was told that they only offer a 60 day warranty. Since someone on their end did not put our call in the computer, I was told that they would forward to corporate for a decision.
Have heard nothing from this company. Since then, I have read a lot of negative reviews about this company's products. I believe everyone should contact lawyers about a class-action lawsuit. It appears this company is selling a line of defective products.
After just one use this product is falling apart at the seams even though we followed all of the company's warnings concerning weight limits. Cannot e-mail company for whatever reason and we just want to know what their return policy is. We are very unhappy having spent over $400.00 on this product. Avoid this company's products as they do not stand behind them.
INDIANOLA, IOWA -- I was extremely impressed with Banzai Customer Service. I called about my ripped seams on my Cyclone Twist. I was a little disappointed to hear that they did not have my slide in stock at the time. After faxing in my receipt, I got a call from a very polite woman who I could tell was sad to inform me they didn't have it. After this, she offered me a different slide. This slide also had a curve and was new for this year! Its design is just as good as my first one and even a little bigger! My kids are loving it as I have already received it about a month ago with no issues so far!
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- My wife bought the Banzai Slide 'N Splash (product #01428) from a local retailer. It looked neat on the box. It has a picture of kids playing on the slide and in the pool. The kids looked to be between the ages of 5 and 8. Today I opened the box and assembled the blow-up pool and slide. My wife, kids and I are extremely disappointed. They obviously used a bigger pool and slide to take the picture. Or maybe they used pygmy dwarf kids as models. My three year old barely fits on the slide and the pool is much smaller than it looks on the box!! Needless to say, we are returning it.
PORTLAND, OREGON -- We purchased an inflatable water slide (Banzai "Side Winder") in July of 2008 for a summer toy for our children. The vendor, Toys R Us, promised us that the product was guaranteed by the manufacturer. When the product failed within two weeks, Manley/ToyQuest denied our request for a replacement. They told us we "might" be eligible for a replacement in the summer of 2009. We sought help from Toys R Us, but they refused any responsibility.
Finally we went to the credit card company, who after looking into it, determined that both parties were within their rights to lie and not back up their guarantees. Amazing how these big companies can do that to their customers and get away with it. We were treated poorly and rudely by customer service representative from Manley, and Toys R Us gladly took our money without providing us with any service or guarantee on a faulty product. Beware of buying anything from Toy Quest and Toys R Us. (We also purchased the extended warranty but it did us no good because the product failed before 30 days.)
NEWBERRY, SOUTH CAROLINA -- We purchased the Banzai Falls water slide late one summer. We took very good care of the slide. Making sure that it was located in a shaded area, all the water was drained and it was folded up and stored for the winter. When we put the slide up the next summer (9 months later) it had a HUGE split right down the seam line (approx. 3 ft. long). I immediately contacted the company and they refused to do anything about it. I still had the original receipt when we purchased it. The only thing I could get from the company was to gorilla glue it back together, that did not work either.
Basically we paid $250.00 for something that was used maybe a dozen times. This product is totally not worth the money and disappointment.
MANHATTAN, KANSAS -- Bought the banzai falls Six Flags waterslide for a pool. Great invention --unfortunately the one I purchased for $300 at Walmart has defective materials. Made in China. Imagine that, on the top side panels. Used it for a few months last summer. Brought it out this summer and after a few weeks, big holes blew out on the sides, first one then the other -- material is just breaking down. The rest of the slide is fine -- just those two sides.
I've called Toy Quest 5 times, on hold forever. Talked with 3 different people - the supposed boss, won't return emails or phone calls. Bottom line nobody expects to pay $300 for a one summer pool toy. It wouldn't have been that hard for them to just say "OK. You're right." And send me one without the defective panel. Beware Toy Quest not up to the challenge so far.
