MOUNT VERNON, WASHINGTON -- Was asked a question by a tech, only to be treated like an idiot. If you don't want to know what I know don't ask. I simply responded to a question and was told that my answer was impossible without the AC working. Then why ask me the question in the first place, because I'm a woman and I did not know the correct answer.
I will not take my car back to this place again. Also I was told it would be done in 1 1/2 hours. It was 2 1/2. They did not take my number so they could call so after waiting for my friend to pick me up I realized this before I left. So I asked if they wanted my number so they could call me when the car was ready, his reply was, "If you feel you need to leave it." How else was I going to know when it was done?
LINDENHURST, NEW YORK -- If you are looking for good service and an honest mechanic this is not the place for you. I was overcharged over 200% on parts (full price list obtained from dealer to prove I was ripped off) and Midas has attempted on two occasions to fix my AC and have failed. When requested a full refund they denied me and said after another try (third attempt) they would then refund me. I scheduled that last attempt for them to try to fix the mess they've made of my AC and now heat and showed up as expected and was advised they did not have the parts and the owner of Midas knowing the problems was nowhere to be contacted.
I have wasted many hours back and forth spending close to $1500 total in that shop to walk away with the same problem and further problems that they caused. Additionally I have contacted their Corporate office for help on this issue and have only been told that I have to deal with the one who ripped me off - ** (franchise owner). I have spent the last 2 days at Midas trying to resolve this and ** is nowhere to be found and is not responding. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I'm not one to really write reviews however I do not want anyone to be taken advantage of and clearly ripped off as I have been. Good luck.
