Terrible Customer Service

MIDVALE, UTAH -- I placed an order on 3/19/2018 for (4) sets of snowshoes. On 3/21/2018 three of the four arrived. I immediately contacted their customer service department to notify them of the issue. After 40 minutes of back and forth "Chat" emails I was forced into waiting another 24 hours to see if the missing box showed up. The reason for this is UPS picks up in bulk and the website showed all four boxes were received.

On 3/22 I contacted their Chat line again stating the box never arrived. After another 40 minutes of frustrating "Chats" I was told a replacement order #214732188 would be sent out and I should received email confirmation in 48 hours. On 3/26 I contacted their Chat line once again asking for the status of the replacement order. Pushed out once again saying it would ship out by the end of business on 3/27. Today is 03/28 another 40 minutes of my day wasted. The #214732188 order has been cancelled and I see another order #215247691 is on my account.

Overstock is outsourcing their customer service department and you are unable to speak with an actual representative. There responses while cordial are not at all helpful and standard pre-written lines. Not until I asked for a full refund was the second order issued. No offer of any sort of discount for my inconvenience and if I am lucky I will receive the snowshoes next week which will do me no good since I would be going back up to the snow this season.

Customer service is horrible. We ordered patio furniture weeks ago. Delivery on Thursday of last week, except it was a sauna, not patio furniture. Called Overstock less than an hour after delivery, but three huge boxes (totaling 300+ pounds) are still on our porch, in the elements no less. The “oversize” department at Overstock takes no phone calls. They may call you if the spirit moves them. And it typically doesn't. Five days later, the furniture is still on our porch and Overstock has no clue when it might be removed. So, bottom line — we don't have what we ordered, Overstock has no clue where it is, and they refuse to come get the stuff we didn't order.

DO NOT ORDER FROM OVERSTOCK or SEARS!!! this company if you can call it that is a joke. I purchased a 24' INTEX POOL that they had listed online on their SEARS affiliate website. I have screen shots on my phone of the pool at the price I paid. I placed the order via the phone to make sure everything would go correctly, and was promised I would get the pool but it would take 30days to ship, Next thing I know I get a RUG in the mail a few days later, not the 24' swimming pool. When calling back all they said is they can issue a return but not honor the pool at the price I paid even though they accepted payment for the product I purchased. This was a bait and switch and horrible business practices, both companies keep pushing the blame on the other over the phone and I'm the one left stuck without the item I was promised and countless hours on the phone trying to correct this issue. The offer no compensation and will not offer and comparable item for the price purchased. NOBODY SHOULD EVER ORDER FROM HERE, this was a nightmare dealing with them and I will never do business with this SCAM company again!!!

UTAH -- Ordered a laptop. arrived too late to use for the business trip for which I ordered it. couldn't take it. tried to set it up when I got home, but it was defective. returned it with the guarantee I would get a 100% refund. Weeks later, after numerous emails, chat sessions, phone calls and complaints, I still have not received any refund. I'm filing a claim through Paypal for the returned merchandise. Don't waste your time or money buying anything from this SHAM OPERATION!

Personally, I am surprised by all the negative feedback. I have made 15 purchases from Overstock since 2014. I returned 2-3 of the orders only because not a good fit (clothing). The returns were hassle-free utilizing the return system they have in place through the "My Account" section. All of my orders were delivered on time. Tonight, I went looking for where to leave a review for the excellent customer service I just received and found this forum. I contacted customer service via the online chat. I was connected with a live agent (Morgan) within 15 seconds. She provided exceptional customer service which exceeded my expectations. I am a very happy customer.

So I purchased a mac-book for an upcoming conference, the estimated time told me it would be there on Thursday and I was leaving afternoon Friday. Would work out perfect even if they were a day late I was leaving an hour or so past the time UPS normally delivers. So Friday rolls around, I'm 8:00pm and still no computer but I have to leave. On the way to the nearest apple store on the way I get an email that it was delivered and signed for. I live in a home... no one else was there at the time. So Sunday I've finished most of the conference and get some time to contact overstock, tell them the situation and they say they will investigate. More than a week later they finally get back to me and tell me they are going to START the investigation, another week later they get back to me and say UPS says the item was delivered and signed by an UNKNOWN person. Overstock says they have no more liability in the matter, UPS says its on overstock for refund, Overstock says I need to contact the police. The police are not going to refund me 2600$ and I bought a replacement computer already so I don't even want the one that is in god knows who's hands! Worst experience ever, I will be filing with the Better Business Bureau, will be posting various reviews places. They can't treat customers like this. Sure its ultimately UPS's fault for delivering to whomever it was they did this "Unknown person" but overstock should file the claim with them not make me eat it. I have people to take care of and a 2600$ unexpected cost is unacceptable.

CRYSTAL, MINNESOTA -- We purchase from Overstock the Samsun Washer Dryer (Gas Dryer). After 2 weeks was deliver all wrapped so you cannot see what inside The driver refused to wait to open and inspect, he told us the package not damage very little English speaking driver. So we open and recognize it is the totally different items what Overstock show in his website on the pictures. We called Customer service the agent also recognize the differences also the pedestal's was missing. She told us need to transfer us to the Electrical department. she get back on the phone and told us someone will call us back after 3-5 Business days. We receive the phone call and the gentleman recognize the differences he ask to send the pictures from the delivered items. he told us he will call on Monday - nobody called we saw on the website the RA # initiated and the re -deliver start to process- but after 1 days the re-deliver was cancelled and when we called was told us it is out of stock no info when going to have this style again. so I here with no Washer Dryer I paid for the scheduled installation and take 2 days off from work to wait for the deliver and the next day installations. It is totally unacceptable we understand mistakes but should find the solutions but do not want to try anything. I do not recommend to buy anything from Overstock

My Worst Online Buying Experience EVER

VIRGINIA -- On 12/20/16, I ordered a ring and paid for express next day shipping. I checked my order status on the 22nd and it showed still processing. I then contacted customer support with my concern as was given assurances that the item would ship this same day and be delivered the 23rd. Well I checked status again on the 23rd and still showed processing. I contacted the customer service again and asked that if the order was not shipped I needed to cancel and make alternative plans to purchase a gift for Christmas.

Once again I was told it will ship today for sure and you will have it tomorrow. Checked back with them again later that day and was actually told that it had indeed shipped and that the USPS tracking information was not updated. Guess what, I believed them only to find out this was a blatant LIE. Here I sit on December 26th still trying to get some satisfaction out of their customer service only to be told more nonsense. They took my money and have not provided anything except for lies and promises. I will never use Overstock.com again.

Item Still Not Delivered After a MONTH From the Order and Four Calls to Customer Services.

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- I placed an order for multiple products on 09/30, one of them was not delivered. I contacted Customer Services via Chat. They said that they were going to check with the courier and if the package was not found they were going to send me another one. In 1-4 business days. I contacted them 10 business after, they confirmed that the package was not found and that they were going to send me another one.

It's been 32 days since the original order and I'm still waiting. I contacted support three more times and they keep promising a replacement. No new tracking number on the Website. I'm requesting a refund trough my credit card company, filing an official complaint with BBB and spreading the word.

I ordered 2 matching quilt sets for 2 twin size beds sharing a room. I received not only 2 different quilt sets but not even the sku # was correct. I returned one set and O automatically sent a set that didn't match and that I had to then send back which I was charged for. This happened twice!!! Then, the phone line was down in my attempt to actually speak with a person. I had spoken with someone weeks before who asked that I take multiple pictures and send them to her personally and she would solve the terrible mix-up/mistake on Overstock. Never heard a thing from her so it may have been fake to just keep me happy.

I took many detailed pictures, emailed them to the woman who represented Overstock and never heard another thing from her or anyone else at Overstock. So when there was no one to actually speak with at customer service, I connected with the only other option, the chat option. Twice I was chatting with someone (mind you that you give all sorts of information and then the person you are connected with asks you all for it again, all in typing so if you are painfully arthritic, it really makes it hard). O screwed up 3 times and I am getting charged. Do not buy anything from Overstock.
