Bait and Switch Hotel Reservation

Made a reservation through Priceline.com for the Marriott Hotel in Oklahoma City. On my arrival, I find out that it hasn't been a Marriott for several years. Too late to switch reservations. Also paid extra for a room upgrade. Guess what? No upgrades. The hotel was a very bad experience. Never Priceline again!

Airport Hotel IAH

IAH, TEXAS -- I am a commuting airline employee based in Houston and frequently use Priceline hotel bidding if I have to stay overnight. On this occasion I bid and received Super 8 at IAH which was listed as an airport hotel but they do not have airport transportation. I don't believe that Priceline should list an airport hotel that does not provide airport pickup. It defeats the purpose of Pricelining if you have to pay for a taxi at an airport hotel. Beware if you are bidding a hotel at IAH it may not provide airport pick-up.

NORWALK, CONNECTICUT -- At noon today I made a hotel reservation through Priceline for tomorrow night. Half an hour later I called to cancel it because I could not find flights to get there. Priceline flatly refused. Just so you don't think I made this up, the Priceline "Trip Number" is **. You can form your own opinion as to whether you want to deal with Priceline.

Hotel Had Better Deal on Their Website

HOUSTON, TEXAS -- I went to Priceline's website to look for a Hotel room in Downtown Houston. After much back and forth I finally bidding. I went to the Hotel website and discovered that the Hotel is chargings the SAME amount I paid on Priceline. The HORRIBLE thing though is now I'm stuck because Priceline does not offer refunds or credits or change of dates whereas if I booked with the Hotel then I could cancel if I needed to! DO NOT USE PRICELINE.COM. Go directly to the Hotel or airline of where you will be staying or traveling to!

They lock you into a price, make you pay everything in advance, and charge you a full night's stay in penalties if you have to cancel or change your reservation in less than a week's time. Much less flexible than booking a hotel through any other method. The "best price guarantee" is a joke and only applies if you find a better price within 24 hours. I will never use Priceline again.

VIRGINIA -- Never ever book with Priceline.com. I made a hotel reservation and tried to cancel it FIVE MONTHS IN ADVANCE. Priceline will still charge me: the full price. That is FRAUD. That is illegal. If you are a customer and trying to cancel MONTHS in advance then you should be FULLY refunded. They did not refund me and refused to do so. Customer service was very very RUDE and gave me no supervisor to speak to.

After years of using Priceline, we have recently been booked into smoking rooms when we prefer non-smoking. The only recourse is to pay more at the hotel for a non-smoking room. Priceline was uninterested in helping us. Their customer service is poor to non-existent possibly due to limited English skills. Stay away from this outfit. We will forevermore.
