PELHAM, ALABAMA -- Being a two time purchaser with this dealership we approached them for help due to medical reasons and one of us no longer able to drive. Being 2 retired ladies who had trusted Riverchase Kia's sale staff and honesty we re-contacted them to trade in the 2 previously purchased cars - new 2008 Kia Stortage and used 2007 PT on a new larger single vehicle. I agreed to raise my monthly payment from $437 to $575 and put about $1000 down.
Talking with our prior salesman and dealership sales manager we were told they could and would help us but ask that we wait until after 10/01 for the new incentives. Oct online specials are $4000 rebates on the 2009 Sorento we were discussing. On 10/9/09 their sales manager called us back as we were leaving for the dealership and told us that our pay-offs were way too high for them to work with us.
They sold us these cars originally - therefore they knew what they had charged us and how long we had the cars when we asked for their help. Apparently they not only set us up for a devastating heartbreak in our current situation but they cheated us on the other 2 sales - BUYER BEWARE.
PELHAM, ALABAMA -- If you are planning on buying a new or used car... avoid Riverchase Kia in Pelham, Al. Like the other reviewers said, their "$5,000 minimum trade" is only half the scam! Make sure you review all of the paperwork before you sign! They say they are "giving you" a service contract (which is refundable, by the way!!!) and you end up owing $2,500 more on the car for their useless "warranty" because they added a worthless item to your deal!!! Read everything and negotiate price with these shysters... not payment!
