FAIRFAX STATION, VIRGINIA -- We originally ordered a hideaway 6x8 hideaway shed in April with "the works" and a few more options. In May we received a call from USA sheds explaining that our shed was to small to accommodate our options so we agreed to increase the size to a 8x8 with 7 ft walls to accommodate the loft. Installers were great, yet they explained that the shed was too short to allow for the loft. I measured the shed and realized that the wrong size shed was built. The first call to USA sheds resulted in an apology for the mistake with statement of what should be done to resolve the problem and a call from scheduling.
After a week delay, I called scheduling and was told that they were busy, that I had the right shed and if they had time that they call back. A trip ti the Home Depot resulted in the manager asking that I await his call in four days. On the fifth day I reviewed the contract and saw that if I had any problems with the store or contractor to call the Regional Customer Care to discuss. I called the regional Home Depot Customer ans was given a reference number.
The consultant stated that she would contact the contractor and the home store and discussed resolution. Two days later we received a call stating that they plan to remove the roof, replace the front to put on the right size door and add a foot of wall space to the existing walls then add siding and put on a new roof.
We have agreed to this plan and will schedule the "re-build" for mid- July.
I believe that if I had not contacted Customer Care, I would still be getting the runaround with the company and home store which charged us for both sheds. Had I not requested a credit I would have paid for two sheds. Will write an update after the "fix".
Home Depot has a consumer affairs division that advocated for us. In the fine print on Home Depots contracts, it provides phone numbers to contact. My shed was taken apart today, a new door was installed, a new loft, new roof and a one foot with new siding around the shed. I now have the shed that I ordered. Three months later, but now done.
PORTSMOUTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- Have you ever had such a rude customer service representative that you said to yourself, " This company is not going to get one penny from me". Well this is that company. On a scale of 1 to 10(best) they get a 0 in customer service, a 0 in delivery time, a 0 in product knowledge. First you have to pay upfront to get any information. Then they tell you delivery is two months out. Don't you dare ask for a sooner delivery time, you will get put in your place.
** I have never written a review of a company in my life. The fact that I took the time to write one on this company is a big deal** **STAY AWAY** I think if you pay $1000 you should get treated with some kind of courtesy. They do not feel the same way.

PORTSMOUTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- I found a small crack on one of the siding panels a few weeks after the shed was installed. Since I purchased a lifetime 'limited' warranty, I expected that I could just contact them to come and replace it. Little did I know that the warranty basically excludes EVERYTHING, thus they offered to come repair the cracked 2 feet of siding for $132!!! BUYER BEWARE.... the lifetime warranty covers NOTHING for the lifetime of the shed!! Shame on me for not combing through it before purchasing it, but conveniently, the warranty is no where to be found on the website which ironically boasts "the best warranty in the business"!!
PORTSMOUTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- I worked for this company . It was a great place until it was bought out 2 years ago. The people in leadership positions are clueless. When they hire people they lie and say it's a great place with great service. It's too late when the truth is seen.
They fired all the people with decades of experience and knowledge for customer service and the industry. The people left in management are incompetent and decide how to handle issues with no knowledge of what it takes to create positive solutions. You will be dealing with people in NH that don't even know what you are buying without looking at a brochure themselves.
Get ready to pay more also because they are notorious for asking for more money after the purchase. Basically you have a company of people who thought they could buy a well run business, fire all the people who knew how to run it and just figure it out on their own. Complete joke! You have to know that it's going to be a ride if you buy anything from this company selling through Home Depot.
PORTSMOUTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- This company installed my Shed in October and now it's February, and they still haven't remedied their poor build quality and installation. The doors don't close and the hinges have cut-off screws. There are also large gaps where the roof meets the walls.
It takes forever to get a hold of them and they never return your phone calls. They just hope you go away. I had to call them every day until finally they scheduled a time to fix the shed. The person they sent out couldn't even fix the problem because the doors were the problem and no alignment could fix them, so I had to call them for another month to come back out.
I painted the doors, but the ones they said they are replacing them with are not painted, and with the winter upon us, I won't be able to paint them until the spring. The manager I spoke with was quite rude actually and told me it's not their problem the doors won't be painted and all they will offer is to provide new doors. The only person that seemed helpful and sympathetic to my issues was Colon, but it appeared he had no control over the remedy or the scheduling department to resolve the issue. I would never recommend this company.
PORTSMOUTH, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- SHEDS USA HAS A HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM. NO ORGANIZATION SKILLS WHAT SO EVER. IT TOOK THE 3 PLUS MONTHS TO TELL ME THAT MY INSIDE WATER DAMAGE WAS FROM UNTREATED NAIL HOLES (THEY PUT THEM THERE) ALL I WAS TO DO WAS PAINT OR STAIN THE SHED WITHIN A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME TO MEET THERE WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS. I DID!! IT CAME FROM THE TONGUE AND GROOVE NOT SITTING PROPERLY TOGETHER. THEY TRIED TO INSULT ME BY GIVING ME $50.00 FOR PAINT. IT'S PAINTED!! TWO TIMES.. I WILL BE POSTING PICTURES ON FACEBOOK SHORTLY.
DON'T BUY THERE SHEDS!!! THEY LOOK NICE, THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR BELONGINGS INSIDE.
STONE HARBOR, NEW JERSEY -- Sheds USA installed a 12 x 16 foot shed on my lot - we noticed that the two lofts we purchased were installed only by nailing a 2 x 2 piece of wood onto the side of the inside of the shed, and they were not installed on top of of the side walls. Their excuse is that is how they install their lofts. Keep in mind this loft is 12 foot long, and it is only supported by 2 x 2 pieces of wood. They sent a repairman to fix the problem, and he declared he only had 3 pieces of wood with him when he needed 8, and he would have had to rip out the flooring. He also stated that that is the way they install their lofts.
