Procter and Gamble Compliment - Dawn as a grease remove on a stove - Dawn dishsoap

Dawn dishsoap - Compliment
Review by rabbitt193367 on 2011-12-14
OHIO -- I'm pretty broke these days but one of the luxuries I always try to afford is DAWN! I have used it to wash my hair, clean my ex husbands greasy clothes and grease stains from my uniforms that I thought would never come out with anything. But DAWN never lets me down. Recently I bought some grease remover to clean up an old kitchen stove that had not been used or cleaned in years, the grease remover that cost $6.59 did not work! I thought maybe DAWN will work and to my surprise this old stove cleaned up like new, the white is so bright it'll give you a headache to look at it when the sun shines through the window on it even the knobs shine and the Dawn didn't take off the numbers on the knobs a mistake I made years ago with 409. Thank you Procter and Gamble for DAWN! I love it, it's one of the best products on the market.

I also use Dawn to get rid of grease stains on clothing. I once overlooked a crayon in the washing machine. There were grease stains all over the kid's clothes. Dawn got all the stains out. I hadn't thought to use it on a stove. Makes sense that it would work there too since it cuts grease. Great review!

Oh my goodness. Is there a ratio for the stove or do you use straight soap?

When I worked in the armory of a state prison, we used Hoppe's gun oil and STP 50/50 for lubing and wiping down the guns. We took turns bringing in bottles of Dawn when it was needed. It was the only thing that got that mix off our hands. two thumbs up. Great review.

Well, you see them using it to wash off wildlife after an oil spill, so I guess it makes sense that it would do well on gun grease :).

I recently purchased a new home with a pool. The seller did not winterize it properly and did not add the required pool maintenance chemicals for the winter. When I opened it in the spring it looked like a cesspool. Black/Green disgusting Algae water. I drained it but it still left a disgusting residue. Dawn to the rescue. I scrubbed the entire pool liner and it looked totally new. This product worked well for me.

Clutzy, I love that commercial.

I had to stop using Dawn for dishes because it was destroying my hands. Now I use Dawn with Olay.. much better. :)

I never realized there were so many other uses. Makes me want to clean something.. with gloves on, that is.

Now this is what I call a helpful review!
