Sharper Image Complaint - Jawbone - JawBone

Complaint
Review by cbr4287 on 2007-12-17
CALIFORNIA -- After trying unsuccessfully to charge a new Jawbone I tried to teturn to the store of purchase and although the Sharper Image catalog states that there is a thirty day warranty they told me that the store only offers 14 days and that I had to "deal" with the manufacturer. I will never ever return to that store.

Say what you will about the big box stores but at least they take care of you.

Other than the obvious, what's a Jawbone?

I just looked at the Jawbone on the Sharper Image website. All I can say is, people walking around with the bluetooth bugs in their ears all day and night look like total morons!

I agree, GothicSmurf. People look ridiculous with those things hanging out of their heads 24/7. I would hate to think I could not progress through life with giving the entire world instantaneous access to me.

That and I find them rude. It always makes me feel like the person with that bug attached to their head is flaunting the "I'm waiting for someone more important than you" card. Your phone is ALREADY WIRELESS why in the world do you need a WIRELESS ear piece attached to your head? Use it while driving then take it off. Seriously.

I can't even find the ear piece that came with my phone. I don't use the stupid thing. I keep it in the car in case of an emergency.

What I can't stand is being behind the idiot with the ear piece to check out. I don't care about your manicure gone bad, I don't care about how the cashier is giving you an attitude for being on the phone, what I care about is getting my purchases and going home.

From the Sharper Image Website:

What is your return policy? (top)

We stand behind every product we sell. If you're not absolutely pleased with your purchase — for any reason — we'll be happy to make an exchange or refund the purchase price (less delivery charges).

We ask that returned products be in like-new condition with original packaging and materials. Select branded electronics have a 14-day return privilege and, if opened, a 10% restocking fee. No returns will be accepted if parts are missing. A receipt must accompany all returns.

Read a story about a guy on a car rental shuttle bus that was sitting there yelling into one of those stupid Blue Tooth ear pieces. The driver stopped the bus and told the guy to shut up, stop bothering the other bus passengers or get off the bus. The basis of the news item was did the shuttle bus driver have the right to do that? The driver was found to be in the right. They never did say if the guy shut up or got off the bus.

Good for that driver. Traveling alone is stressful enough. Be a little bit more considerate of others when you're in a confined space. I know it's a lot to ask.

If a passenger is disturbing others on the bus, then yes, the bus driver has that right. I was on a bus where someone was listening to their radio with headphones, and the bus driver told him to turn the radio down because everyone on the bus was able to hear his radio through the earphones on his ears. I think we should all get our license to become one of those doctors for the people with hearing trouble...cause that road will be paved in gold in a few years with everything people are plugging into their ears now.
