Make up your mind Hostess

GULFPORT, MISSISSIPPI -- My husband and I went to Chili's tonight. Most Chili's across the nation, has the bar area first come first serve. But we asked the hostess just to be sure. She said there was no wait in the bar area. We saw an empty table and sat down and waited for it to be cleaned. After it was busted, the hostess told us we had to get up because someone was waiting for a table and waited 30 minutes. The same lady who previously said no wait for bar area and then she stated it's just at the bar itself that there is no wait. We have never heard of such in all of the years we have been to many Chili's, since husband's work required travel many times.

Raw Boneless Buffalo Wings
By -

LAWTON, OKLAHOMA -- On June 4, 2006 My husband and I went to Chili's on Cache Road in Lawton Oklahoma. We were seated after about 5 minutes, after about 15 minutes of sitting there with no service, the Hostess came to take our drink order and we ordered the boneless buffalo wings. The waitress showed up approximately 20 minutes after we were seated to take our drink order. We told her it was already taken. After another 20 minutes, the Hostess brought out our wings and after one bite I realized they were uncooked in the center.

I'm in my last month of pregnancy so needless to say I was furious that they were so careless as to not only put me at risk but my unborn child. We informed the manager and even brought to his attention the fact that I was pregnant and the dangers of raw food to an unborn child. His reply was "I don't know why they would serve these, I'll get you some cooked ones". No apology, nothing, so we told him we were just going to leave. I will never eat at this restaurant again as the service is always poor but now the dangers of the food just aren't worth it.

Quality of Food has gone down

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- Looking at the last comment it doesn't appear that many people are having problems with Chili's restaurants. We've been going to Chili's for many years visiting one of 3 stores. It appears that most recently they've changed their food quality, negatively. We find less than prime cuts of meat in their chicken & beef entrée (more gristle & fat) and their nacho appetizer is different. For example, you can go to nearly every McDonald restaurant in the USA and find the same quality of food. You know what to depend on at it's usually the same now as it was 30 years ago. Not so as some other national restaurants.

It used to be (at Chili's) when a customer said anything negative about the food or service a manager would come over & "take care of the problem". Not anymore. The manager now takes on a "hands-off" approach and has little or nothing to do with customers. After visiting a store, our problem, then, is to remember what kind of a bad experience(s) we had at Chili's in the past. When I think of going out to eat I tend to remember the days long-gone by when everything at Chili's was beyond reproach. Not anymore. This store has lost me confidence for several years to come.

Excellent Service!!!

WARREN, MICHIGAN -- I went to stay in a hotel in Sterling Heights, and we went to grab a bite to eat at a nearby Chili's Restaurant. We had a very long drive and we were all starving. To make a long story short we had a young black gentleman as our waiter, this was on January 22, 2005 approx. 9:15 pm. He was the most awesome waiter I have ever encountered. I wish every waiter was as motivated as he was. Wish I could remember his name. I would like to call his manager and let them know that they need this man as a trainer. We were all very pleased with our service, and we will return.

Product and Service

MANCHESTER, CONNECTICUT -- I ate at a Chili's recently and received the worst food and service I have ever seen. I ordered the Chicken Crispers with mashed potatoes. I received overcooked, rubbery chicken, cold potatoes and gravy and it took forever to get. I complained and was brought hot food. I asked for an extra side of gravy and was brought back hot ranch dressing. When we finally got our check after not seeing our waitress for at least 20 minutes, I told her that my gravy was not what it seemed, and she said "Oh well, too late to fix it now." No attempt to make the situation was even mentioned. I was very disappointed and now do not eat at that particular Chili's.

SEGUIN, TEXAS -- My husband and I went to the Chili's in Seguin Texas tonight, Wednesday September 26, 2012. The service was lacking and we waited almost an hour and a half for our food. When our food finally made it out it was cold, greasy and disgusting. When we brought it to the manager's attention, he was like, "sorry but we are short handed." I wanted to say "Really? Then get your butt back there and help." Or maybe "Make some phone calls to get some help in here."

3830 S. COOPER ST., ARKANSAS -- Waitress delivered the food and left. Did not offer to refill tea glasses or water. Finally had to ask the Hostess for my bill. The Chicken fajitas did not taste good. Will not go back.
