Overcrowding

RIDGECREST, CALIFORNIA -- I took my daughter to Disneyland Anaheim on December 6th for her birthday but we were there for 2 days on the 5th and the 6th. The streets were so crowded there wasn't room to breathe. Whenever we found a place to stand or sit we were herded out like cattle because the roomy roped off sections were for preferred guests. Well I paid hundreds of hard earned dollars just like everyone else and wasn't able to enjoy a thing. I spent 12 hours in the park on Saturday and only went on 3 rides.

Not because of the lines but because there were so many people we couldn't even get to the rides. I think they shouldn't have preferred seating because we all pay money to get into the park to see the same things and I went at Christmas time to see the lights and snow. Well I was herded around to the back alley behind the shops on Main Street and didn't get to see a thing. We weren't even allowed to stop to watch the 10 minute firework show and by the time we were out to the other end on Main Street had missed the snow.

I am very disappointed and think I should be reimbursed some of my money. My daughter is flying back to Alabama and had a crappy time on her birthday. With all the hype about special treatment on your birthday and behind the scenes looks she got nothing. What can be done about this?

Service

ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA -- I was at the Lost Bar a couple nights ago and we sat down to wait for a waiter/waitress to come over and service us. We must've waited 10 or 15 minutes for the waitress to come over (Marlene). We asked her what kind of virgin drinks they had and she was practically clueless at what they had. She finally listed 2 or 3 drinks that they possibly might make for virgin drinks. So we decided to just have a drink that she listed off.

Finally we got our drinks a few minutes later along with the bill. I put my card in the folder almost right away and set it on the table to be picked up. She took her time going back and forth to tables and the computer, passing our table quite a few times. In the process she made small chat with her coworkers. Finally after about 30-35 minutes she came and picked up the bill. TERRIBLE SERVICE.

Rude Service

ANEHEIM, CALIFORNIA -- Feb. 2, 2008, my sister and I were treated very rudely by an associate named Jimbo on the Star Tours ride. My sister had her leg amputated but hasn't been fitted for her artificial leg yet. We went through the exit (wheelchair access) and were stopped by Jimbo. We thought we had entered the wrong way or something, but he told us we couldn't go on the ride because it is a "flight simulator" and is very rough.

We explained that she had ridden Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Matterhorn, etc., but this didn't affect him. We were sent on our way without riding a ride that doesn't even go anywhere, the chairs just get moved around. Very bad service. We've never been treated rudely by any Disney associate anywhere, so I thought this should be noted and sent to the company. They know the one bad apple story, so I'll leave it at that.

Disney's Phallic Symbol Usage
By -

ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA -- Remember all the talk of Disney having phallic (penis) shapes on Little Mermaid movie boxes and the inappropriate sexual messages contained in their movies? Well, my daughter received bubble bath for Christmas with the "princesses" on these two plastic tube shapes. Well, they are shaped JUST like a penis with a rounded base like testicles! If I could have attached a pic I would have! Why did they even have to go anywhere NEAR that shape, especially considering the controversy they've had. Who do they have working in their product development? I'm thoroughly disgusted.

disney princess bubblebath is phallic

Visit to Park was TERRIBLE
By -

ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA -- I visited Disneyland with my four, five, and six year old children. We came from out of state. We paid a great deal of money for the tickets. My complaint is this: The day we visited the park it was filled to the MAX with people. The streets were packed like a can of sardines. There was nowhere to walk, sit, or stand. The wait for the rides were 30 minutes (at a minimum) or more. The new Nemo ride wait was 90 minutes. It was terrible for my children and myself.

We were at the park from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm and were only able to ride 5 rides. I was terribly disappointed for my children. Going to Disneyland was such a great surprise to them. They were very patient and exhausted. I strongly do not believe Disneyland provided the experience of "Dreams" coming true and fun. It was a terrible-terrible experience, but mostly it is my small children who tried so hard to have a good time in all of the chaos and confusion in the park.

Games & Activities

LAKE CITY, FLORIDA -- The Disney Princess DVD Game was a disappointment to my 6-year-old granddaughter and myself. Before purchasing the game for "Santa" to leave for her, I read the features of the game. It read: "Over 250 games, activities and trivia questions." This statement is very misleading.

After watching several advertisements for Disney products, we found only one game to play, and then additional advertisement info. Not 250 games, only 1 game. I concluded that what this statement means is: if you were to play this game 250 times, it would ask the same questions 250 different ways for up to 4 players.

This game has a beautiful 3-D environment and music. But, after playing twice, we became bored. We tried to find a main menu for the other games & activities of which there were none. Had there been 249 other simple activities as expected, we would have spent many hours lost in the magic of Disney. Instead, we were both unhappy and unsatisfied: my granddaughter was let down by Santa; I was let down by Disney's false advertising. I would have left a private comment on a Disney site, but after checking several sites, this link appeared. Merry Christmas Mickey.

ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA -- We have been to Disneyland before and this trip was so disappointing. The security is a joke and everyday they are changing the policy. Magic Morning is a bust. Disneyland forgets to tell you that half the park is closed, so what's the point of going early? Walt Disney is turning in his grave. Every ride is dirty and outdated. Come on Disney you guys are raping us for 60 billion a year. Get it together!

Waste of Money and Time

We went there hoping it would be the best, but sadly they did not satisfy any of our Dreams! First many places and rides did not allow Us as we had our Little one 2 yr old with us, and all the Places we could go with him like My small World was CLOSED! I don't understand why they charge us so much and Don't keep the places open! You have to stand in LINE for Hours to get to any rides. I Think It was totally a Waste of Money and Time!

The Worst Movie Ever Made
By -

WILKES-BARRE, PENNSYLVANIA -- Today my kids and I went to see the movie "UP" in 3D and it was the worst ever, there was no 3D at all. I mean it really sucked and the story line was stupid. The first twenty minutes of the movie you had to guess what was going because there was no talking. I mean really WTH. It was really bad. I was surprised that it was made by Disney and I spent 23.00 dollars for crap.

90 Minutes To Enter Park
By -

We went to Disneyland yesterday (Friday, March 27th) and will never go back. It took 90 MINUTES from the time we arrived at the parking garage to even enter the park. We waited at least 30 minutes to pay the $12 for parking. Then we waited in a line to park our car. Then we waited for the tram. Then we waited at least 30 minutes to pay to get in. Then we waited to have my purse searched. Then we waited to go through the gates and enter the park. Never again.
