DAYTON, OHIO -- We contacted Erie Construction about information concerning a new steel roof. They promptly made an appointment and during the meeting gave knowledgeable, concise and full disclosure on all requirements. When the time came for the financing for the new roof, they got all the information and promptly went to the different banks to get the best rates for us. We were kept abreast of all the circumstances and how things were coming along. When the financing was taken care of (at a great rate by the way, they didn't stop looking until they found the best) they very quickly made the appointment to come and install the new roof.

They had an amazing team come and install the roof. They were polite, efficient and clean. Overall this was an impeccable experience from the salesman to financing to the installation. I would highly recommend Erie Construction to anyone with home improvement needs. They are a superb company that has worked hard for their great reputation. Pick Erie Construction for any home needs! Also ask them about the steel roof. It has an amazing warranty, is quiet, warmer and looks great from the street.

The Work Was Completed Very Quickly and Neatly.

MT. PLEASANT, MICHIGAN -- I had all my windows replaced with double-hung (except two sliders in the living room). Because it is winter and rather cold, I expected the temperature in my house to drop significantly, but it only lost three degrees. Work was started promptly at 8 am.

The workers started in the living room with the largest windows, quickly cut them out and inserted the replacements. They moved from room to room and were finished shortly after 1. The interior was protected during the work and cleaned after. The exterior was also tidied nicely. I only found a couple of less than one inch pieces of wood on my driveway and one small piece of white material on the snow. Needless to say, I was pleased.

While I have not been opening and closing the windows due to the weather, I am pleased with the look and expect to be pleased with the ease of cleaning and the fact that I will never need to paint inside or out. The attic insulation was completed several weeks ago, and while I did not go into the attic to see it, I did see pictures the workmen took. I have not received a heating bill since the work was completed, but I am hoping to see a reduction.

Having a Metal Roof Put on My House

TOLEDO, OHIO -- We live in the county surrounded by farm fields with no houses or trees to block the wind. My house is about 20 miles from Lake Erie and the lake affect winds we get are really strong at times. Our roof had the normal shingles and we were replacing shingles on a monthly basis. We had our roof replaced a couple times and every time the winds picked up, we were picking up shingles in the yard.

The Roofers would come for a few months to replace them, but after so long they refused to come out so we had to replace the shingles ourselves. One day I had a knock on my door and it was Erie Construction. The nicest sales people I ever met. They were not pushy and just explained what they had to offer.

Like most people, we did not have the finances to pay them in full. They worked so hard to make our payments what we could afford each month. When they started putting our new metal roof on, the workers were so nice and cleaned up all their mess and even picked up some of our old shingles that had blown off in the yard. (Like I said, we always had shingles laying in the yard.)

They were finished in a timely manner and the metal roof looks amazing. We have had many wind gust since our new roof was put on and still NO shingles have blown off. This was the best improvement we could of ever made to our home. I highly Recommend Erie Construction for all your roofing needs.

I was thankful the lady stopped at my house, and glad ERIE CONST.CO did the work.

HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA -- A young lady knocked on my door explaining that she was with the ERIE CONST CO. She was taking a survey of homes that might need some repair work done. I explained to here my roof was 23 years old. She asked if I would not mind having some people from ERIE CONST to take a look at my roof. I received a phone call later on when they where coming. The two men came and explained what they where going to do and give me the results. They found some of my shingles where missing on my roof and a leak in my attic . I asked well this needs to be looked at now. They showed me a plan and a cost to have it replaced.
Some time later they called and asked when it would suit me for them to put on a new roof. It was done in one day and I`m completely satisfied .

New Roof Experience

GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN -- I decided to call Erie Construction about a roofing project. I had planned to look at a few different companies to get the best price. It turns out as I figured anyhow, that best price probably equals worst roof. I ended up going with the metal roofing system, although it's surely one of the more expensive on the market, it is the last time I need to deal with my roof. I am only 42 so sounded great.

It was a great experience and I am extremely excited and happy with the finished project! From the kind and knowledgeable salesman, to the crew who was great and timely. I would recommend Erie to anyone. Cleaned up great as well. Their products are a little more expensive than what you would get from a local Joe Shmoe but the quality is several times better. I had Windows from Erie almost 10 years ago and they are in pristine condition still. I have friends that have went the cheaper route less than 5 years ago and their windows are already failing. Go with Erie, it's the smart choice!

4 Upgrades/Replacements of 75 Year Old Brick Sided Ranch Home in 12 Years

PORT HURON, MICHIGAN -- From an initial contact by a knowledgeable, cordial salesman to every Erie contact at the front home door, the home upgrades/improvements have been great. The windows and removal screens move readily, aid inside temperature comfort levels winter and summer. The roof has a 35-year guarantee that is transferable to a new owner - a plus. The attic barrier is another temperature control plus; the attic floor is easier to clean as well. The recently installed shower has a hand-held line for use with a chair, if needed, plus the regular shower head with adjustable levels of water flow.

Erie personnel make follow-up calls re: customer satisfaction with quality of their installations, experiences with the persons performing the work and encourage calls with concerns or questions. Three replacement window panes have been arranged with "bubbling" promptly at company expense. The bathroom change was done in a single day. In all instances cleanup was complete and satisfactory.

We Have Had a Positive Experience With Window Installation.

BAY CITY, MICHIGAN -- We had 5 new windows installed in our home. We love our new windows. We were concerned that the tinted glass would be too dark but it is just fine. We experienced a problem with one of the locks, but after a call to Erie, a serviceman came and did an adjustment and eliminated the problem.

The installers came at the time they said they would and in approximately 4 1/2 hours they installed the windows and did a thorough job of cleaning up as they worked. The measuring was accurate and the windows fit perfectly. All Erie representatives were courteous, knowledgeable, and on time as scheduled. When we are ready to do the rest of the windows in our home, it will definitely be with Erie.

Quality of Product Was Good.

FREMONT, OHIO -- Had new window installed. Although it was a little pricey, the quality was good and the installers were professional. The company was a little off on keeping appointments. The sales staff really needs to have more communication with the installers. Sales staff was a little unnerving. Was like inviting a used car salesmen into your home. Just stick to your guns and don't be talked into extra garbage you don't want or need. They do have quality materials, so it's not like you are being talked into buying junk, but I don't like the game of "let me see if I can get you a better deal". Just give me your best price and do good work. That's how you get repeat customers in my opinion.

No show - No call (X4)

HOLLAND, MICHIGAN -- Several years back a sales representative came to our door. They said they were working in the area and asked if we were interested in any home improving. Definitely windows, made an appt, no one called (like they said would happen), and no on ever showed up. OK fine!

2 years later, another representative at the door - no thank you, we're broke. But about 2 weeks later we start receiving phone calls on our land line about making an appt. "A representative was recently in your area & we have previous information on file that you were interested in window replacement at one time". To which I replied, "You're correct. At one time, but your company stood us up & now we're not set financially to worry about windows. Please remove our name & info and refrain from calling anymore. Thank you!" But the calls kept coming so I changed my phone number.

7 years later, after a divorce, death of 7 family members, loss of a job, a new marriage, a brand new baby, and a terminal cancer diagnosis (which is just part of life happening) and things are going pretty well and adjustments have been made.

It's December of 2013, dark outside, winter, cold & about 6:30pm, there's a knock at our door. It's a pair of best friends selling for Erie Construction. I tell them no thank you & why and the pair proceed to inform my husband and I all about the new mgt and the changes that have been made and how the old mgt ran the company into the ground... Bla bla bla. They just wanted to meet their scheduling quota so would we make an appt for an estimate and consider giving new mgt a chance. I invited them into the entry way, gave them some fresh baked cookies, & made an appt. OMGosh!!! How stupid were we? Another no confirmation call & no show for the appointment.

April 2, 2014... I just get home from getting groceries, a kid approaches me (I'm not even out of my truck...) & wants to sell, sell, sell. I thought it was lawn care but as soon as I saw Erie I asked him to leave. I was polite but let him know his company "sucked"! He called his manager right over so he could hear my complaint. The manager said he would give me a 50% discount on install, $99 back per window, plus a supervisor special. So, I said OK give me a price. "Well is the Mr. home also?", "Nope. But this is my house. I owned it before I met & married him, if I want windows, you'll have to deal with me and give me a price"!

They made an appt for when we'd both be available.... But I was not worried, they did NOT let us down... No confirmation call & no show on their appt yet again! I should get some free windows by now, lol. Never trust them!

TOLEDO, OHIO -- My wife called asking them to come out for a price. They told us our house not good enough for a metal roof. Told us we don't need a metal roof and it's too good for my neighborhood. Horrible, horrible people. Upset my wife and me.
