MCLEAN, VIRGINIA -- We had Lingo for a while and then we switched to Vonage. Vonage sent us an email saying that the number has been transferred and Lingo will send us the final bill. But to our surprise, they continued to charge us each month. The customer service has refused to do anything about it. Worst customer service ever!!
The Lingo service is not bad per se but God forbid you need to call their customer support. OMG! Their service is the WORST. The support personnel (including supervisors) are completely untrained and SO frustrating to talk to, they make you want to pull your hair out. I'm not exaggerating even a tiny bit. They are the most infuriating bunch that I've ever come across. Stay away from Lingo if you value your peace of mind!!
I've had the service for about 3 years now because part of my family lives in Europe and Lingo has been fantastic. With the exception of the local internet company going down on occasion, I've never had anything but excellent dealings with lingo. Even when I bought the new Slingbox media sender, I called Lingo and they walked me right through how to port forward on their modem. Great company, no complaints, so far so good. Cheapest carrier I've found and used so far.
We have had Lingo for several months and I have been satisfied until now. First they debited my checking account twice this month. Second, while I was on the phone last night the phone went dead. They "accidentally" shut off my service. The sent me an email saying so. But it being the weekend, they cannot turn my service back on until Monday. I am disabled and ill and need my phone service. They refuse to turn it back on.
