This company is a complete SCAM. It literally is not worth the five dollars or so one would save by booking through them. The "company" charged me for a hotel where I did not stay. The hotel never had my name in the system so I was never truly booked with the hotel. After checking several times to make sure I was definitely NOT booked with the hotel through Otel.com, I moved on and booked with another hotel the regular with a reputable company.

Otel.com took it upon themselves to charge me for the hotel where I did not stay and has yet to refund me. I spoke with Erge AND Yasin who both assured me that the money would be refunded. One year later the money has yet to see my bank. This is sickening and stupid. The company is a complete scam and the customer service are taught to lie to their customers to save their ass. It's ridiculous.

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA -- I had to cancel my hotel reservation due to the government shutdown because my TDY was cancelled. Well, it was after the free cancellation deadline but I called the hotel directly and told them the situation. The hotel said they were aware because others had called and that they were waiving the charges for cancelling after the deadline due to the government shutdown and because this was a TDY, but they told me to contact Otel.com and let them know to contact the hotel directly to the aide those charges.

This whole time I have been trying to communicate with them, but only through email because they don't have a legit number and the emails come once a day asking me for more and more information from the hotel, instead of them calling themselves as the hotel requested. What a waste of time and money.

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA -- I also had the worst and most unbelievable appalling service with otel.com!!

Never use them!! Fraud, fraud, fraud!! This company is very bad!!! I'm contacting my lawyers!!

All of our flights were canceled due to a strike in Buenos Aires - we planned to stay at a hotel booked here. After the 2 day strike, we planned to go to the hotel but we couldn't get flights for another 2 days due to the backlog. We called there customer service several times of this hotel and they were really unhelpful and awful. We explained about this situation due to unforeseen circumstances but they were uninterested. We lost like $800USD!!

This company is extremely poor with customer service and is not interested in helping anyone. Please avoid 100% this company!!! Never use them!!

MASSACHUSETTS -- I paid for a hotel room and the hotel is telling me I have no reservation. I was charged the amount of $272.34 and I can't get any information from the hotel or the booking website. They say it was nonrefundable and yet I don't have a reservation. How can I pay for a room reservation that doesn't exist? I am concerned based on others reviews that this whole set-up is a scam to take peoples money and then never go through the hotel to book the room. I want to book another room but I can't until I have this amount refunded back to me as it was close to $300 that I would be out if this is as illegitimate as it seems.

I have sent the seller multiple online messages and called but have gotten no answers. They cancelled my booking and said they fixed it in their system, but Team America has no record of it being reinstated and the hotel has no booking for me. I did not pay for a service that I am not receiving and I am not getting any word back from the company. This whole set-up is a scam that lures people to book rooms and then doesn't provide them with the service (room) they paid for.

Great Experience - Will Use Again

GRAND FORKS, NORTH DAKOTA -- Would use again. I booked a room at the Chelsea Hotel in Toronto using Trivago. I thought I was booking through Hotels.com, which is fairly well established, but it wasn't until I got my confirmation that I realized I'd booked through Otel.com. Having never heard of Otel.com, I did a search of reviews and felt a pit in my stomach when I read all the horrible experiences people had with this company.

Luckily for us, our reservation promptly went through to the Chelsea Hotel without issue, and the room was about half the price of what the hotel charges on its website. Furthermore, our itinerary changed, and we had to cancel our reservation. Again, the refund was prompt and painless—no questions asked. I wouldn't hesitate to use Otel.com in the future. Whatever issues the company was having appear to be resolved, and our experience was highly favorable.

Customer service sucks

If I could select zero stars I would. 1 star is too generous. Due to Otel's representative (Mr. Oguzhan Tinaz) not processing my change request correctly, I was forced to incur almost US$200 in global roaming phone charges to urgently call Mr. Tinaz to fix his error in my reservation with less than 24 hours before my scheduled arrival. I have an email trail clearly showing my requested change and Otel did not correctly make the change. Even worse, they cancelled most of the reservation. Otel never gave a way to contact via the internet, and specifically asked me to call a # they sent me via email. Then when I asked Otel to refund me the roaming charges I incurred to talk with their representative to fix the mistake their representative made, the attitude was ridiculous - it was my fault he made the mistake, it was my fault I called to correct it, etc. etc...

First, if Otel is not able to make the requested change as specified, then no change should have been made without first contacting the customer. Second, when instructed to call Otel I should have been given a direct # to not have to wait on hold. Neither of which occurred.

Refuse to Change My Booking After Website Problems

I booked a hotel in NYC with Otel.com through Trivago (I thought it was Hotel.com). The website stalled quite a few times while booking for one night for Saturday August 1, 2015. When I received my invoice via email the date read Monday, July 26!!! I contacted their customer service immediately and was told I could be helped by submitting a "request" through their website. I was contacted via email by their customer service & told right away there is nothing they can do. Period.

I have contacted the Hotel and they told me there is availability on August 1, 2015 and Otel.com just needs to change the date. Any legitimate company would make the change, Otel.com refuses to do so. I have never been scammed before now but thankfully American Express will decline the charge tomorrow so they won't get paid. Horrible experience.

Booked for 4 nights accommodation through Otel.com. Credit card was charged immediately. When we arrived at the hotel everything was fine but my daughter became very ill. Due to medical emergency we had to leave our hotel after only 36 hour (so 2 nights). Hotel was very accommodating and compassionate and assured us that we would not be billed for the 2 nights but that we needed to get refund from Otel.com.

Contacted Otel.com numerous times but they refuse to pay back the 2 nights accommodation even though the hotel assures me that they have not charged the last 2 nights. Otel.com is pocketing the $400 + themselves. Reporting them to Turkish Consumer Affair after having spoken to the Australian Consumer Affair.

ISTANBUL, TURKEY -- DO NOT USE THIS SITE - NOT LEGITIMATE. Booked room through this site offering about 50% lower rate than hotel was offering. After booking and credit card charged, called hotel directly and they have no record of reservation. Can't talk with otel.com, only chat online. Conveniently, their chat service is not working, the day after making the reservation.

This website is a Scam! I tried to book a hotel twice on their website. Neither booking was processed but I noticed two amounts pending on my bank account. I was told by a representative that the money was pending and would be released back to me. A couple of days later the money was taken from my account but no reservation. I raised queries in their website as instructed but I have yet to receive a response. Stay away from this website, they will rob you blind. This website is a complete scam.
