Approved Exchange Never Received

I purchased Pineapple Wedger at a book party, found the item extremely difficult to use. Six foot husband had to place wedger on floor in order to apply enough pressure for the item to cut the pineapple, that was the only time I used it. I have carpal tunnel and cannot apply that much exertion without pain. Decided to contact Pampered Chef Co., explained situation and asked that I be allowed to exchange the wedger for four (4) of the small spreaders. I emailed with ** at Solution-Center at PamperedChef.com and she assured me I had an $18 credit.

She gave me a number to place on the outside of the return box and stated that once I returned the item I would be sent the four spreaders. I shipped the item back on August 22, 2011 via Delivery Confirmation and spent $8.59 to ship it, taped invoice inside the box with the wedger as instructed.

Today is November 29, 2011 and still no spreaders. After many, many additional emails I get no response from anyone, in particular not Ms **, at Pampered Chef. At this point I will never, ever purchase from Pampered Chef and would advise people to steer clear of companies with such shabby customer service follow through. I am now out the original $18 for the wedger, have no wedger after returning it and spent another $8.59 shipping.

They Don't Care!!!

My consultant doesn't answer her phone or return calls!!!! My orders are late because no one contacted me to tell me or my guest of a problem. A credit card number was wrong and it held up my whole order because no one could get a hold of my consultant. I still would not know why my guests orders haven't arrived if I hadn't called to check with Pampered Chef myself. The company was no help at all!!

They said a week and a half to two more weeks, nothing they can do to help get it here any faster. She really didn't even care and didn't even act remotely like she did. Pampered chef just lost my business! I now have to tell my guest their gifts for birthdays won't make it. Thank you to ** my consultant and Pampered Chef for nothing!

Broken products and nothing done

ILLINOIS -- Just tonight 16 Aug 2010 I was baking in my beloved Pampered Chef stoneware as I do so many nights in the week.... when I reached into the oven to pull the 9x9 baking dish out and the whole side broke off in my hand. I was shocked and thank God not burned. I screamed and my husband ran to help and reached in to lift it by the other side and the corner broke off in his hand. We finally slid it onto another pan and got it out of the oven. We salvaged dinner and afterward I called the company customer line. That was a joke as I was told suddenly that Pampered Chef now only has a 3 year warranty on the stoneware line.

I thought that was crap since all the many years and years I had bought the products that it all had a lifetime warranty. And ** the customer service representative was rude in my opinion. You would think that Pampered Chef would Value long time customers in this economy especially!! But I guess not! And from now on I will not be singing the Pampered Chef stoneware praises as I have done so often to my friends. And even more so after reading so many complaints here online of people have problems with stone ware pieces. Oh well I too will be out looking for another company to buy such baking stones from.

Lifetime warranty - not so

After spending $400+ on Pampered Chef pots, that are about 5 years old, I needed to return a couple of them for replacement. Basically my family skillet had a black unremovable spot right in the center and was no long flat, rather the center was out of shape. My small and medium saute pans were releasing the black coating. Still under my lifetime warranty and with my receipts, I called and send them in for replacement.

Well, the lifetime warranty isn't so. According to them, they look at your returns, do tests and a team decides if it is manufacture's defect or if you simple "misused your pots". Don't fall for the lifetime warranty pitch, I have written the company and have demanded a copy of the tests and the results that lead to their denial to replace my pot. I was a loyal PC customer. Now just a very disappointed one. No more business from me.

Pampered Chef Sucks

Went to a Pampered Chef Party. Bought some stuff, after a YEAR the girl who hosted the party finally got my stuff to me. 3 out of the 4 items busted within a month. Unfortunately, it had been over a year since "purchase" so none of the warranties were any good any more, and I had seriously used this JUNK like twice. The egg/mushroom slicer does NOT slice mushrooms. As for the Salt/Peppermill deal, the door broke off of the place where you are supposed to load the salt, rendering it useless. The pink kitchen gloves got a hole in them in record time. Like seriously within 2 weeks of getting them. I could go on but suffice to say it's all overpriced junk.

REFUND from Pampered Chef
By -

CAROL STREAM, ILLINOIS -- Like other consumers, I had to replace my pizza stone 3 times. It is a product defect, in my opinion. All the customer service dept. was willing to do was to keep replacing stones. I had had enough, and wrote to Pampered Chef and told them that if they would not refund my money, I would turn the matter over to the attorney general's office. They did not reply, so I filed a complaint with my state's attorney general office. Two weeks later, Pampered Chef called me to let me know that they were sending a refund, and I received it a week later. It was worth the little amount of time it took to get my refund, but is sad that it takes this step to just get companies to do the right thing.

Broken Stoneware, Refused to Honor Guarantee
By -

I have been a loyal Pampered Chef customer for 17 years and have spent hundreds, perhaps thousands on their products. Many times, when a consultant enters my home, they are "wowed" by how many Pampered Chef products I own. Last night, one of my large pizza stones cracked in half on my kitchen counter.

When I called the customer solution department, I was told that there is only a three year warranty on the stoneware. I was told by many consultants over the years that the stoneware has a lifetime guarantee. That if a piece of stoneware broke, you only had to contact the company, send in a piece of the broken dish, and Pampered Chef would replace the dish. I am very disappointed in your new warranty. I will now take my business elsewhere.

Beware-round handled pizza stone
By -

For the money that I spent purchasing several Pampered Chef items, including the handled pizza stones, you would think Pampered Chef would refund my money or let me exchange for something else. Why keep sending me a replacement when it just happens again (3 times)? They did not respond to my last email asking them to do this for me, so I filed a complaint with the attorney general's office. This is clearly a product defect, and could actually burn or cut a person upon removing the stone with the pizza out of the oven. Do the right thing Pampered Chef.

Pampered Chef rips off wife!
By -

My wife wanted to earn a little extra money, so she got talked into purchasing $300 worth of Pampered Chef product in order to become a consultant. She then got talked into signing up for their personal websites. She tried selling the product and using the website for a few months, but couldn't make enough contacts, so she chalked it up as a loss and at least she got a lot of Pampered Chef products to walk away with. A few months later, they auto recharged her bank account for renewing the website (which she did not authorize and which she hadn't used in months).

She called them and they told her that they were authorized to recharge her bank account because that was their standard business practice. She told them that they had agreed when she first set it up that they wouldn't do that and wanted it cancelled and refunded. They told her that she didn't have it in writing and that they would cancel the website but only give her back a few dollars (nowhere close to what they charged her). We filed a unauthorized charge claim with her bank and have been now fighting this for nearly 3 months. Pampered Chef is a rip off and couldn't treat people fairly if they tried!

Exploding Pizza Stones
By -

My wife has a close friend who is a Pampered Chef salesperson and because of this we have a number of different Pampered Chef stoneware products. The previous pizza stone that Pampered Chef sold which is the heavy round one without the handles is a good stone and stands up to everything my wife cooks on it. But within the past few months Pampered Chef has discontinued these and started selling pizza stones with handles that are formed right into the stone. The company should be ashamed that they are trying to sell these to the unsuspecting public as they are of a poor quality and are liable to break on the first use.

The first time my wife cooked a pizza on hers, it exploded into small shards in the oven. Her older good stone was in the oven at the same time and the two pizzas that were being cooked were both ruined. My wife has one friend who has had four of these stones break and she wasn't cooking anything frozen on them at the time. Each time the company has replaced them but they should be refunding her money instead.

She also has two other friends that have had their stones break as well and they have been replaced. Who knows how their story will end. On a positive note, all the other stoneware my wife has has been good and there have been no problems with it but stay away from these newer pizza stones!!!!!!!
