Pleasant Experience

PELHAM AL -- I would like to compliment the Popeye's Chicken location in Pelham, AL, for a most pleasant experience today. I called in a carry-out order, not a standard order, with extras of this and that, and a chicken piece substitution. The young lady, Charlotte, who handled my order by phone, was very polite and cheerful. I saw her when I picked up my order, and she was just as pleasant. Even with all the extras & substitutions, she filled my order perfectly. I have not had an experience at other Birmingham, AL, locations of Popeye's. I felt this store and personnel should be commended. Thank you.

Everyone Should Have Been Fired

WINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA -- We went to the Winter Haven Florida Popeye's back in May, 2010. The woman who took our order had to have had the worst attitude and overall worst customer service than anyone I've ever run into. I thought we were on hidden camera she was so rude and lacked any type of people skills. The woman was so rude that she made you feel scared to even order. The employees were yelling and fighting with each other while people were placing their orders. Where was the manager? The food was not good at all. Extremely greasy and seemed undercooked.

One person tried to get his money back because of the bad food and an argument broke out between the employees and the customer. Stay away from this location unless you want to be treated like you are bothering the employees by placing an order and the fact that they have to put it in a bag or on a plate for you. All I can say is that I can't believe that Popeye's employs people like this.

Love Your Chicken But...

BROKEN ARROW, OKLAHOMA -- My stepson worked for the Popeyes Chicken in Broken Arrow OK from March 04, 2009 to March 10, 2009, and still has not received a paycheck for his hours working. It has been two months and he still hasn't been paid. His name is **. The manager had him to come in and redo his paperwork so he could get his paycheck. He did this and still no paycheck after a month.

Now personally, I love your chicken, and I would rather have your chicken than any other. But if you rip off your employees like this then now only will you lose my business, but I will also let all my family members know that you don't pay your people who work for you. I will also turn you into the Better Business Bureau and then contact an attorney. He no longer works for you but he's not been paid.

My email address is messed up but you can send a letter to him. I am sure you have my address somewhere in your paperwork. ** just in case you need to contact me, or him. I will give you until May 8, 2009 and then I will contact an attorney and turn you in to the Better Business Bureau.

WICHITA, KANSAS -- Does anyone else have a problem getting their order done properly at Popeyes? Every time I go there my order is jacked up. Either it is just completely wrong or they forget to fill it with the items that are listed with it on the menu. Since I normally go through the drive-thru I don't find out till I get home. I don't know if this just happens to ** or if this is just a case of terrible employees who don't give a **. I used to eat there about once a week but now, and I don't know why, I eat there about 2 or 3 times a year. I keep hoping things will change but they never do.

HOUMA, LOUISIANA -- I visited the Popeye's on West Park at 4:30 today. In addition to waiting in drive through line I had to wait an additional 6 minutes parked at window. The employees were basically milling about & playing. The one person in kitchen part simply walked around flipping his apron, sometimes walking out of sight to back of store. No one seemed to notice or care until I asked what was going on. At this time they became angry because I complained then basically threw my food at me. This is the second time in two weeks I received poor service & cold food. I think I will give KFC a try.

CARTERSVILLE, GEORGIA -- While driving through Georgia, I stopped a service station with a small food court in Cartersville, GA. Unfortunately I picked the wrong one - Popeye's #4954. What a mistake. On the wall was a large 2 foot by 3 foot poster promoting a chicken wing-onion ring special. I gave my order to the Cashier #1 and she had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. She called over Cashier #2 for instructions, but Cashier #1 punched it in wrong and I was overcharged. No problem - I figured I'd eat the overcharge since I wanted "in-and-out" service to back on the road fast. I waited and waited and waited and waited.

I finally spoke up and was told by the robot in the back that it would be another 5 minutes. Since I was forced to wait, I decided to question the overcharge. Cashier 1 and 2 bickered about who made the mistake to no conclusion. My food finally came, so I asked them to correct the error while I ate. When I finished, I returned to the counter and the issue had not been resolved. Their response was they needed the manager to make the correction and he was nowhere to be found. What a bunch of losers. I'll never ever go to a Popeye's again, and I'll make sure none of my friends do either.

GALVESTON, TEXAS -- Well it was Sunday the 2nd of December, my family and I went to get some chicken. I spent 27 dollars on my family to eat. Well we had food to go because we were eating at a park. Anyway I ask for 4 of the little containers so we could have something to eat out of. Well the manager wouldn't give me any. She said that it wasn't that many left, and those that were left were for the people that were dining in.

I politely told her that I just spent 27.00 dollars and can't get no containers. And then she went ballistic, "Every time you people come in here it's always a problem." That's when it hit the fan, and I ask "What's up with this you people stuff?" And she would never respond. But I was very angry by not being able to get me some container.

Concerning Complaints

DALLAS, TEXAS -- I just wanted to say something about all these complaints I see and hear. Half of them are just plain and simply pathetic. Half the time I wonder about the people who complain. Take for example the complaint on store #7391. More the 95 percent of the customers there pretty much have an education level no higher than third grade. I trained there. I know what the customers are like. How can they sit there and complain when they give the worst customer service? All it is about them is racism not an actual complaint. They know exactly who they are so either get a brain or just stop harassing the employees because they are not of same skin color.

Terrible customer service

ADEL, GEORGIA -- We should have known better than to go in because as we were walking up, three employees (including the manager) were bent over "laying" on the counter. THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE.

  1. When trying to place our order, the cashier wasn't listening to us and we had to keep repeating everything.

  2. While we were waiting on our order to be filled, a lady who had gone through the drive-in came in saying that she was missing part of her order and that had happened the last time she was there.

  3. After waiting to get the cashier's attention and then REPEATING what we wanted, we finally got an order. - Not right though.

  4. We ordered a 2 piece and a 3 piece meal and were charged accordingly. However, we only got two 2 piece meals.

  5. One meal had the wrong side with it and both meals had the wrong type or "flavor" of chicken in it.
