Lifetime Warranty Is Very Limited
By -

I've been a QVC customer since the beginning and today I terminated my relationship. In July I purchased a Lock and Lock set and 60 days later one of the pieces broke. I called QVC to get a replacement for the "limited lifetime warranty" item. At first it looked like everything would be handled but 10 days later there was no resolution. So I called again and was told they sent a letter (which I never got) and that they would call my cell phone.

A week after this (we're now at 1 month) I called again only to be told that I should call the manufacturer myself to see if they would honor the issue. That's it. I'm done with horrible customer service. I spent more than $100 a month at QVC on a variety of items. NO MORE. I will miss my Philosophy products, but not this attitude.

ORDER AND YOU GET NOTHING
By -

MIAMI, FLORIDA -- I decided to go ahead and order a Toshiba 32 inch HDTV on Easy Pay from QVC. Days after ordering, I noticed the charge had not been posted to my debit card and was still in "pending" transactions. This was going to be a Valentine's Day/Anniversary gift I was giving my partner. I purchased furniture for the TV and had my cable company come out and install additional outlets, etc., in preparation for all of this.

When I called QVC about this issue, they said they sent me a letter telling me the TV was on back order. It was clearly available to order on the website at the time I placed the order. Although frustrated, I quickly ordered, a different less expensive TV. I was happy as I was getting a better deal. Today, I had exactly the same situation happen. I give up with QVC and feel that they are playing with the public's confidence in them and I find this practice inexcusable.

Return Shipping and Handling Policies.
By -

PENNSYLVANIA -- Recently purchased a garment which arrived with the correct size on the label, however, the garment fell far short of the measurement it was supposed to be. I took it to several women who wear smaller sizes than I do, and it was even too small for them. I would have been happy to keep the garment, as it was well made, but as it was several inches smaller than the label said it was, had no choice but to return it.

Under the circumstances, I asked QVC to refund the S&H and also the return postage which I had to pay. They never answered or disputed what I said, just gave me a refund for the basic cost of the garment, and I am supposed to eat the S&H both ways. I would not object if I returned the item because I did not like it, etc. I think they should charge all the S&H to the company that manufactured the garment, rather than the poor consumer, in this case me.

Perhaps these companies would then have some decent quality control. This happens frequently with QVC. Some of the merchandise I get from them does not meet my standards, is poorly sized, or else is of such cheap construction that I cannot keep it. It is not the amount, but the principal of it and after a while it all adds up to a considerable amount of money. Needless to say, I will not be buying anything from QVC anymore. This was the last straw for me.

QVC Shuts Account On Returns!
By -

We had shopped off & on with QVC for many years. Occasionally using their often bragged about "open return policy" - not a true statement on their part! After returning 2 items in 2006 we got an official letter stating we had too many returns an it cost QVC money - too many returns (what??!) and we must stop returning or they might close our shopping account! Close an account QVC is making $$$$ off - they are the ones who promise you can return for 30 days.

By the way, return was in original shipping pkg and full insured meaning we paid highly to try on their items and took great care to properly. When we used the return policy on 2 items this year (again full insured/in original packages/at our expense) they shut our account down entirely!!! Caution: purchase at your own risk - return policy is at their discretion - not yours!!!

Purchase Tracfone With 1400 Minutes; Phone Arrived; No Minutes

WEST CHESTER, PENNSYLVANIA -- In March, 2014 I purchased a prepaid Tracfone with 1400 minutes & triple minutes from QVC. The phone arrived in March, 2014 and I followed directions on getting the prepaid minutes applied. I spoke with staff and supervisors from QVC on 11 different occasions. I was given a number to call for the wireless service. I spoke with them and followed their instructions 9 different times. No one can tell me why this problem cannot be resolved, just they are working on it and this has been a problem with other customers. I am so terribly frustrated. My only option left is to contact the QVC CEO in West Chester, PA to try to get some relief.

Poor Customer Service Reps and Policies

Terrible customer service and very poor policies. We received a Christmas gift that we were not going to use, so we returned it looking for a credit that we could apply to something else. There was no information on the return slip to ask for this. I called and spoke with a customer service representative and he was very short with me and said that the QVC membership works for the member. If a member gives a gift to someone and that person returns it, a note will be put on the member's account that the gift was returned. What??? Then, you can't get a credit without setting up a QVC account.

After all of that, I had not received any correspondence from QVC that I had credit available, so I just called and spoke to another customer service representative who had an attitude, poor customer service skills, etc. She told me that the credit is showing on the account, but you can't see how much you have until you buy something. Then, it will tell you after you make your purchase. That is crazy. I have never heard of anything like this from any retailer. I will cancel my membership after I use only the credit available. I would not give a company that has the policies they have and the poor customer service reps my business.

Company fails under pressure
By -

We have had a Cook's Essential (QVC Brand) pressure cooker for the past few years. It has been a fantastic product and we have enjoyed it immensely. When we went to use it today it came up with an error code E1. I contacted QVC and they stated it was not under warranty and I should just throw it away. They offered no solution or option for attempting to solve the error message. I am extremely disappointed in their product and service and feel that much more could have been done, especially on a QVC Brand product. Whatever happened to QVC standing behind their products?

QVC Shopping Channel Lies
By -

I order a Wii fit from QVC and it did not work. Then I called QVC and the customer service lied to me and told me I could send it back in and get one just like it. Well after that I sent it in then I called on Saturday and they told me they have received it and I would be getting a new one by the end of the week. Well it never showed up so I called and they told me they could not do nothing for me. I was out of luck, they would return my money in 5 to 7 days. Everything I get from them is overpriced and it breaks. My camera never did work.

Blocking Truthful Reviews; Quality of Products Gets Worse Over Years
By -

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA -- I ordered this camera for X-mas for my son. This camera was either defective or a bad design for this model, it simply doesn't make one single clear/sharp image. There are many of similar reviews on their website for this camera. As QVC responded to my review, it turned down my review because: A different product is also mentioned in the review. Content is inappropriate or unrelated. Information focuses more on a service issue rather than a product.

I reviewed exactly what I bought and what was the problem and what QVC does if people return defective products, all written professional way. They deducted $5.95 from my refund. I wonder how many more reviews does QVC not post and therefore lies to their customers.

The other problem is with the quality of the products they sell. I shop with them for 20 years. The products were the highest quality at the beginning of my shopping experience. As the years go by, the quality of the products is worse and worse or at least I order always the wrong thing?! They seem to sell more and more stuff that is for the represented companies hard to sell, be it bad quality product, cheap product, or unwanted product on the market.

I don't state, QVC doesn't sell good products, they just seem to care less and less what they sell. If I purchase something from their German QVC company, the story is totally different. All the products I have from them are high quality so far.
