I just got off the phone with a very helpful employee of the Tax Defense Network. He was very clear about what their services would be offered toward resolving my $13K in tax debt. His explanation of what they would do and not do was easy to understand and he was honest when I asked some pointed questions about why they were better than me trying to do this myself.

He also told me that in my case I wouldn't qualify for any settlement. It would be all about protecting my assets, and income and getting the payment that I could afford agreed upon. I told him that I wanted to give it a try directly with the IRS which he cautioned against, but wasn't overbearing in his discussion. I will definitely give them a call back if I'm unable to work directly with the IRS on this matter.

I contacted this company after hearing them on the radio. The consultant who I spoke with was very helpful - seemed to know what he was talking about. The whole process took about 60 days. I was able to get to an agreement with the IRS. The fee was low, the staff helpful, and now I can sleep at night. I would recommend their services.
