I've been a long time customer, and been happy until today. They sent an email soliciting a "be well box", sort of a grab bag, for $13.99 that was worth up to $70. Based on their own website, the value of the products was worth $7.75. And they refuse to give a refund. They say it is "worth up to $70" not "worth $70". And even at worth about half of what they charge, they stand behind their grand lie. Liar liar pants on fire.
Don't buy from these people! First they neglected to mail my order. Then they neglected to mail me the complete order. Now I'm waiting for a refund and it appears that they will neglect to do that as well. I've filed complaints with PayPal and the BBB. Vitacost doesn't care. It used to be such a good company, but I will never order from them again!
Vitacost customer service is a joke. Trying to get an accurate order shipped out was so frustrating that after 5 phone calls I cancelled a large order only to have to start over with another company. Save yourself some frustration and start your order with a company that has better customer service.
CALIFORNIA -- I have purchased from this company for several years because they have the best prices. I do notice that their own lines of merchandise are not as potent than other brands'. Furthermore, I have returned some product that had the appearance of being either exposed to moisture or just simply past the expiration date (even though the expiration date stated otherwise). I have a suspicion that the company may be purchasing expired items and packaged as "fresh" merchandise. I would love to know from the insiders regarding their practice.
FLORIDA -- Be careful when placing an order with Vitacost. As soon as your order is submitted you'll be asked if you'd like to get $10 off your next purchase by completing a survey. Don't do it, it's a scam. It's only three or four simple questions, but when you hit the submit button you are authorizing them to charge your credit card $14.95 a month for "Shopping Essentials".
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA -- After product would not arrive prior to going on vacation, (I paid extra for 3-day service), I had the package intercepted for return which was done. But after several calls to them, my credit card still has not been credited back. On my last call, the supervisor, Angela ** was very, very rude. I have been purchasing from this store for a while and have seen customer service spiral downhill. There are too many good retailers to choose from. So shop wisely.
NORTHRIGE, CALIFORNIA -- Call them to change order placed online because I made a mistake with the protein flavor. They could not change it and said to wait for product and refuse it. This company's customer service sucks. Pay a little more and go to ** and save yourself a headache.
I ordered 5 bottles of "Schiff Glucosamine Plus MSM -- 1500 mg - 165 Coated Tablets" and when I received it, it's 150 Tablets per bottle. I emailed to Customer Support, and they just apologized without any partial refund. This is the worst online store, I will NEVER shop there again!
Vitacost has been my go-to supplement spot for years now, including an order made today. Two orders I made last month was shipped out the same day. I must honestly say I have never had a bad experience. Good price, fast shipping, what more could I ask for? I was really surprised to come across this site with all the complaints, maybe I have just been lucky.
