Buyer Beware - They get your money, you get nothing

I ordered the Advantix on April 10. I called on April 29th to ask about it. The lady said it was backordered but had arrived and had been shipped. I asked the date and she said Sunday the 26th. I asked if it was possible to ship on Sunday then she said she made a mistake, it was Monday the 27th. Yeah right!

Now I have to wait 21 business days. So for two weeks there was no email to say the item was backordered. They charged my credit card on the day of the order even though they had no stock.

That wait is too long to wait. Cancel the order and dispute the charges with your credit card company. It seems like they are trying to hold you off until it is too late to dispute them.

I bet it would be worth to spend the extra $60 to actually get the item.

Little known fact. 1800Petmeds will price match for you ^_^

You need to call them with the url of the place that has the lesser price and they will look it up (takes about 1-2 days).

And they will honor this amount on every order you make from now on!

MANATOBA, CANADA -- Budgetpetcare.com is the best place to shop for all of your pet care needs especially flea/tick products. I have purchased Advantix there for several years now and will continue to do so. Not only is staff very cordial & helpful, the prices cannot be beat anywhere else. I always check different sites before I order and cannot find flea/tick products cheaper anywhere else. Plus, the shipping is FREE! My order was shipped promptly. It comes from Canada so the shipping time is a little bit longer but it still arrives very quickly. I have never had any problems with this company. I am very pleased with Budgetpetcare and will continue to purchase their products when I need anything.

Although Budget Pet Care advertises "FREE SHIPPING We're delighted to announce that we now offer fast, reliable, free shipping on every order you place with us." Now I guess fast is a relative term; Just as a turtle is fast to a snail, Budget Pet Care's product delivery is fast just like that. When placing an order with Budget Pet Care make sure your last will and testament is in order, and you make provisions for the product you ordered from Budget Pet Care to be properly distributed to your heirs. Another point to consider would be, Will my pet still be alive when the product is finally delivered? After all the average life span of my dog is 12 years, and she is five now; therefore such considerations must be made when thinking of ordering from Budget Pet Care.
When I called and inquired about my delivery after two weeks I was told sarcastically, in what could be remotely considered the English language, that such delivery delays are explained, "all right there on the website." That is, if you spend twenty minutes trying to find it when you're not looking for it. Perhaps it would be more helpful if they put it in the same RED Boldface type on the first page that they claim "FAST DELIVERY" that your order may be lost forever in Chicago; Then I wouldn't have ordered from them in the first place. MY ADVICE TO ANYONE THINKING OF ORDERING FROM BUDGET PET CARE ... THINK AGAIN! Sincerely, STILL WAITING (and preparing my will.)

They are a Canadian based company. Maybe it's held up in customs.

Their customer service was absolutely correct in what they told you - the delivery times are discussed on the website.

When deciding whether or not to use a new web portal I ALWAYS check out the terms and conditions of shipping, returns, etc. To me, this is the responsibility of the consumer.

Honestly, I don't see how you can complain about terms that are shown on the website. They are in CANADA. Look at it this way - it is called BUDGET Pet Care - there is a price to pay for "budget".

Just remember, fast delivery in their eyes means they packed your order and gave it to the delivery service. After that, as far as they are concerned, any delay is the fault of the delivery service.

Well according to another review. It's actually shipped from the UK and not Canada which might add to slowness.

ya. that would do it. if you're shipping from the UK, unless you're paying for air-freight it will probably ship via boat. and those boats take longer

Yes, they do ship from the UK, but it is by airmail. Still, the package has to go through the UK first, into customs, out of customs and onto the plane to the USA. But they dont tell you this as they want you to think you are getting a product produced in North America and shipped from North America. Which, to both, you won't get.

Almost A Month And Still Waiting?????

STEINBACH, MANITOBA R5G 1Y2 -- I placed my order with Budget Pet Care on December 6, 2010 for K-9 Advantix. Price seemed good, however I should have researched the company before placing my order. Today is Jan 3 2011 and still no sight of my order. I called the company and got the same answer,"no tracking issued on purchases less than $200.00" I was told that the product was shipped on Dec 6, 2010, can't imagine that it would take a month or more to get here.

Buyers beware, it appears this company uses tricky tactics when it comes to sales, service and shipping.

I believe that Budget Pet Care is an American company. I see that you're in Manitoba, Canada. It might be held up in customs. Good luck. I hope you get it soon!

Budget Pet Care is a Canadian based company. It's right there on their website. You would think since the op and Budget are located in Canada, the op would have their order by now, but Budget Pet Care is notorious for a slow and long delivery times.

I think it's ridiculous they will not provide a tracking number for orders less then $200.00, but that's their policy. Either the op can continue waiting, or go to his vet, get what ge needs for his pet, and definately do a chargeback on their credit card, for items not received from Budget. They take the money quickly, and then expect people to wait and wait and wait and wait....

Complaint on quality of service

I have ordered from this company 3 times. I have waited approximately 2 weeks for the first two deliveries. This time I am still waiting. I ordered on Nov. 12 and it is Dec. 4th and I am still waiting. I called the company on the on the 22nd and was told that the order had been shipped and that I would receive it in 7-14 business days. I called again on the 29th and was told the order had been shipped and if I didn't get it by 21 business days (they only count Mon. thru Fri.) to call again and they would re-ship. The prices are good for me since I live on a fixed income but I WILL NOT order from this company again.

Beware this company is a SCAM

I should have checked this company out first before placing an order. I placed the order on 10/27/2010 which shows being shipped a few days later in their system. Here it is 11/18/2010 and my order still has not arrived. I had called their customer service over a week ago and was told that shipping takes 10-14 days.

I don't have a problem with 14 days but this is getting ridiculous and after doing some checking come to find out many others have been scammed. Well, credit card chargeback is my only option now to get my money back.

If it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is!

The reason it takes so long is because they ship from the UK not Canada as claimed. They have a little premises in the back of a warehouse in Shrewsbury. They don't even ship items licensed to be sold in the USA...it all comes from South Africa & Australia

And do you know why they now state they ship from the UK? Because I reported them and they were going to lose their pharmacy accrediation. Otherwise they would have gone on mis-leading customers as to where they ship from. And unless things ahve really changed then they do not ship from Canada at all. Go to the address they state they are at if you want. You won't find anybody there, not from this company, cos it's simply a front address. And there is a difference between stating items are for illustration and selling drugs within the USA that are NOT either FDA nor EPA approved.

Good value and timely shipping

STEINBACH, MANITOBA R5G 1Y2 CANADA -- Contrary to some other reviews, both of my experiences have been positive. I got what I ordered at a very reasonable price (6x the meds at just more than 2x the cost of a vet in NC mountains). Delivery was by postal service as requested and within promised time frame. I waited longer than I should have to place the first order and was a bit worried about order (new vendor from outside US); however, customer service confirmed shipment and product arrived following day.

Plan ahead and allow a reasonable amount of time for shipping, then enjoy saving money.

STEINBACH, MANITOBA R5G 1Y2, CANADA -- Last week I received the pet meds I ordered from BudgetPetCare.com. The order was complete, correct, and well within the timeline claimed on the website. I had waited until the last minute to order the meds, then looked for the best deal online. When the meds didn't arrive in time for my schedule, I went online and found the complaints against Budget found here, which of course alarmed me. But when I called Budget's 800 number I was treated politely and told when my order had been shipped (the day after I placed it), and the CS agent said that it would take awhile because the package was coming from Barbados. I re-read the details for ordering online and found that this was well within the parameters of their claims. So what's the problem? If you want low prices and free shipping, plan ahead!!!

I'm glad everything worked out for you. I'm just a little leery of using these type services and prefer to pick up my pets meds from my local vet who knows their history.
