COVINGTON, INDIANA -- My experience with Jitterbug has not been good. I realized that I don't use it as much as people ought to and I haven't been carrying it too much with me. When I bought one, the guy that owned it was supposed to get a free gift out the deal but he never did, and I was a little unhappy about that. Then, I have to take my Jitterbug and let the gal find out why it doesn't do anything. When it's up on the charge, it goes off and she has to take the battery off and put it back on, and it works. Something is wrong with that. I can't believe, when you sell something like that, it shouldn't have to have something like that done every couple of months or so to keep it going.

If it's a defective one, it should be replaced. And quite often, I don't get a dial tone. Something is not right. I realized you could get in places once in a while with this cellphone. In some places, they don't have the power. My son thinks that I push the wrong button or something. When you pick it up and you can't get a dial tone, I have that problem on this other phone too so I can't blame that all on their phone. I never had that problem when I had the other phone, except for one time, and it was a broken wire.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA -- When we're driving around, we needed a phone in case we got in an accident or something happened on the road. Our Jitterbug phone is for emergencies and the medical alert is great. We're not young people as I'm 84 and my wife is 81. When we first used our Jitterbug phone up in Lake County, it worked beautifully. Then all of a sudden, we had to turn around and go outside to make it work. When we get behind the hills, Jitterbug doesn't have the signal. We want our phone to work up there. Nonetheless, we're satisfied with it on how it's working.

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- I've never had a cell phone. When I was in the south driving, I needed a phone and so that's when I decided that in a case like this, I really should have one. I saw an advertisement of Jitterbug in a magazine. I'm a senior and the offer of having a cell phone at a price and the number of minutes I could get per month was what I wanted. I got a simple flip phone and having Jitterbug has been great. I called customer service when my wife put the phone in her laundry. I ordered a new one and their staff was great. They got me a new phone at a reasonable price.

PINE PLAINS, NEW YORK -- We got a small cellphone before. It was a pop-up thing and I couldn't handle it. My fingers in the numbers were so small, so I got rid of that phone. Then I saw the size of the Jitterbug phone in the magazine and it looks great. I took the number that was in the article and then I called them. Their representative was very nice. She arranged the whole thing for me.

So far, we're quite satisfied with it and my wife uses the phone all the time. The buttons are of good size. Also, one feature that we like is the alarm situation because my wife is 86. You never know when something's going to happen so she has the phone with her all the time. It's not too big so it works great.

WOODSIDE, NEW YORK -- I have a very old phone that I have to buy the card in them and I thought it was a little bit too much so I changed it to the Jitterbug. I assumed it was very easy. You have a yes and no, and on and off. But sometimes, I put a yes and nothing happens. People told me so many times what to do but I don't do it. Being old, I'm still not that familiar with whatever I'm supposed to do. I don't use the phone as much, only if I have to go a long distance. I just call up. It's not anybody's fault but mine.

WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA -- My husband had a phone with MetroPCS. It was old and not running properly anymore. So I went to MetroPCS and got a phone that I thought was similar to his phone. But it turned out it was a very cheap foreign-made phone and he couldn't operate it. I'm very technologically capable and I couldn't get it to work properly. I remembered seeing the advertisement for Jitterbug. I called and got him the flip phone.

The Jitterbug people were wonderful. They answered all my questions and were able to give me a time frame for when the phone was to be delivered and how I could set it up. Everything went smoothly. My husband loves the phone and I'm glad that we have it. He said it's the best phone he's ever had because he had other phones that he found complicated. He is not technologically capable in many areas and he's able to handle calls without getting upset and able to put in his address book with the Jitterbug. It's just easier to communicate and he is satisfied. He knows the phone is right there at his fingertip and he's able to handle it without any problems.

HILLSBORO, MISSOURI -- I like flip phones and Jitterbug has a flip phone with bigger numbers. I've had it for two years and it's really easy to use. However, I have problems with it turning off by itself every now and then. They gave me another phone, but it does the same thing. When it does that, I have to try turning it off and on. If that doesn't work, I have to take the battery out for a minute then put it back in and it then comes back on. Their customer service is great. They're very nice and informative. If I call them, they help me with whatever they can. I would recommend them because they tried to take care of my problems.

SAINT LOUIS, MISSOURI -- Irene lives with me and she has the Jitterbug phone for about a year now. She had an AT&T phone at one time which was more expensive. Irene wanted something with bigger numbers because she is legally blind and it's more convenient for her. She has one eye she can't see anything on and she also doesn't have a lot of money so she wanted something that was more reasonable. Jitterbug is $15 less than what she was paying for her phone so she's happy with it. The numbers are also bigger on the Jitterbug. If she holds it up close to the one eye, she's able to see it better. She mainly uses it to call her kids or grandkids, or they call her mostly.

OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS -- My brother needed a phone with a large keypad and numbers, something that's simple to use, which Jitterbug advertised as being one of their selling points. So, my youngest son and I got him one and I loaded some phone numbers that he calls more frequently. I set myself first and his girlfriend second, but when he wanted to call her, he always called me. It took a while to teach him how to open it up and choose the phone book and dial them, but that's about his capabilities with his fingers. He's 77, he can't text and has hard control of his hands.

The Jitterbug is easier than the flip phone he had before. He uses Jitterbug just as much as he's expected since he doesn't have internet and only has his phone and his television. It's also easy and understandable in my experience. I would recommend them to people.

CHIMACUM, WASHINGTON -- I'm 89 years old and my generation is not used to this new stuff. I still prefer having a landline but I use Jitterbug from time to time when I go someplace and I need to call somebody. I take it with me and it's nice to have something handy. I bought it for the GPS mainly to take the emergency calls when I'm out and so far, I feel safe with that. I haven't had it that long and I don't know how to use it yet but I hope to get the gist of it. I have people here who know how to set things up and they've been helping me.
