PALM HARBOR, FLORIDA -- I terminated my membership and they continued to bill my credit card despite numerous phone calls and assurance the charges would be reversed. If you join, never give them your credit card to bill. It will never end.

CARROLLTON, TEXAS -- I've been a member of LA Fitness on and off... I left 24 Hour Fitness because I thought LA Fitness maintained their equipment better. I was wrong!! Every other piece of exercise equipment is broken!! I cancelled my membership, which of course was a hassle. I sent in my cancellation letter but no one sent me a confirmation... I had to call corporate and tell them again. They had record of receiving my letter but no one cared to let me know. Do not join!!!

BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON -- LA fitness is rude. They are not friendly and their class schedules are always wrong. I have left work early so many times to attend certain classes only to discover after you call that is not even the class they are offering. It is something else and you do not even work up a sweat. Everyone makes excuses and it is always way too crowded.

AWATUKEE, ARIZONA -- Worst experience ever with any Club. They are just salesman promise something upfront and do something else on the agreement. Read agreement carefully. Just go by agreement not buy that they say or promise. Look each details carefully. They promised me membership till DEC-10 and I found out they charged me more than they promise for initiation fee and I have fund only till Aug-10. Their salesman are complete fraud, be CAREFUL with them. Please, shop around and find out the best deal before signing up at LA Fitness. They are complete fraud .

Sent in two cancellation forms as told to, they magically received one but not the other. Both forms were sent out one day via mail through standard mail. Do yourself a favor when canceling your membership with this shady company and copy the form and save the cancellation email. Send two cancellation forms on two separate days to ensure that they get it. 2 months later, still debating and I'm still calling! Complete BS

ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT join L.A. Fitness unless you want 6 months of daily headaches when you move or decide to cancel your membership. They don't return calls, the people working in the gyms are the most incompetent group of individuals I have ever encountered. The corporate office is even worse. They keep you on hold forever and show no urgency to resolve any problems you may have.

BEAVERTON, OREGON -- LA Fitness sucks. Don't get a membership unless you want to pay three months extra. The first month you pay when you sign up. Sounds reasonable - it is for the month at the end of your membership. But upon cancelling the membership they charge another month, at the next billing date. So if you cancel on the day after your billing date, you pay another two months. LA Fitness sucks.
