They Changed the Price in the Middle of Me Booking My Vacation!!!
Posted by Svkamkam33 on 01/07/2014
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- As I was booking my 4th trip to Las Vegas, Travelocity changed the price in the middle of my booking. A red box popped up above my price stating, "The Price of this Package has Increased
Due to availability changes, the price of this package has increased by $115.71 from $771.80 to $887.51. All totals have been updated below." I have used several other website that offer vacation packages, but have NEVER had that happen to me. That is no way to do business when in a competitive field of service.

Ended up finding a better deal for the same days, same hotel room and same flight times.

DON'T USE TRAVELOCITY!!!!!!!!!!

Hidden Fees, Not Honoring Promotion
Posted by Kildow06 on 01/05/2014
I booked a trip to Huntsville Alabama a few months ago. I entered a promotion for a rental car for one free weekend day. It was honored when I checked out but not when I paid. I emailed Travelocity regarding this issue and they took over a month to get back and all they said was they could not find a promotion. I went the extra mile to attach all documentation I had for this purchase and promotion and it still was not honored. I also booked a flight through Travelocity which charged my X amount of dollars. My credit card statement said $15 Travelocity charge. On review of my purchase there was nothing saying "Travelocity fee" and when I looked on the airlines website the price of the flight was cheaper!!!! Very sneaky!

Worst Airline Booking Company EVER!
Posted by Kaltunas on 01/04/2014
I initially booked a flight online with no issue. But when I had to change flight itinerary's it became a disaster. I needed to change reservations/flights. So right off the bat I got hit with a $200 per ticket change fee! Then after 2 days, 4+ hours on the phone, being disconnected 4 times, making 3 different bookings, I got a new reservation. The reason for the 3 bookings is they told me that each booking had an "error" in the system that caused them not to go through. That error was the inexperienced operator you have to deal with. My previous booking that I had to cancel was made into a credit that I could only use with Travelocity and I could only apply it by calling them. I tried 3 times to apply the credit, which the operator said it was applied, and all 3 times it wasn't.

Until I got an operator that could speak English and understand what I needed. If you have to call them for any reason, expect a 1 hr call minimum. Absolutely the worst customer service EVER!!!!

No disclosure....no Confirmation of the Room
Posted by Marshaokla on 12/27/2013
I booked a room for Embassy Suites in Rogers, Arkansas. I thought I was dealing with someone at the hotel in Rogers. Later, I found out that I had made my reservation though Travelocity and the booking agent was actually located in the Philippines. I was told on the phone that there were only a few rooms left which was totally a lie. I booked the room for Christmas Eve and my husband and I never saw any other guests at the hotel. I never received a confirmation from Travelocity (probably because they didn't want me to know that they charged $29.00 to make the reservation). Embassy Suites in Rogers told us the charge for the room was $90.00. Received my bill today and it was $129.00 because Travelocity charged more than if I would have booked through Embassy Suites. What a rip off! They don't want to honor the price of the hotel. Had I known who I was dealing with I would have never booked through them. I live in Oklahoma and could have easily booked the room myself. Shame on Travelocity and their scams! I also didn't know that if we had been unable to use the reservation, the money would not have been refunded. That was never disclosed. I can now understand why I never received a confirmation from them. They try to hide everything so the customer won't know what's going on. This place needs to be shut down!

Travelocity Has No Heart With Hotel Cancelation Within 15 Min
Posted by Vchang on 12/27/2013
On Dec 26 2013, I made a hotel reservation through Travelocity after having my flight canceled and rescheduled. 15 minutes later I realized that the booking was incorrect. I called Travelocity and they wouldn't budge on the cancellation charge of one night. I waited on line 15 minutes to talk to the supervisor but Nathan wouldn't but and simply stated that I should have read the policy better.
I admitted my mistake and was happy to take a penalty but insisted the the penalty for 15 minutes was high. This was not waiting 1 week later or even a day later but 15 minutes.
Travelocity has no heart. I ended up paying the full charge of the cancellation.
My advice: book directly through the hotel

I am disgusted with Travelocity. I made reservations (full package- airline, hotel and car). Due to an emergency need to cancel. The automated portion only did the car and I have now been on hold for over and hour just to speak with someone to get the rest of the trip canceled. I tried contacting the hotel and they informed me that it can only be done through Travelocity as it was a third party booking. I have used Travelocity in the past with no problems, maybe because I didn't need to cancel the trip. This has been the most irritating experience ever!!!! Will NEVER use them again!!! No one answers the phone, their website won't let me access my account and no one is emailing me back!! EPIC FAIL!!!!!

Wrong Room With No Compensation

Picture of call duration
Picture of call duration
ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- I booked a hotel room using Travelocity and when I got there they said my room was not available. The room I booked was on the 42 (out of 47 floors) and they put me in a room on the 27th floor. The hotel told me that of course, there was a price difference in the price of the room I stayed in and the room I payed for but they said I needed to contact Travelocity for the refund. After waiting for literally 59 minutes on the phone with Travelocity (I took a picture of the call duration) they told me that they could not do anything for me. Terrible experience and I will NEVER book through Travelocity ever again. I hope this review get published as a way to save other people from the terrible experience I went through.

Unannounced Fees Appearing on Credit Card.
Posted by Tjstratton on 12/04/2013
TEXAS -- I booked a ticket with Travelocity. When my credit card appeared I had an extra unauthorized fee listed. When I called they told me that the airline set the fee. I have two tickets with airline...one with Travelocity and one with Priceline. It was ONLY Travelocity who charged me. So not only did they add and unauthorized fee to my credit card, they lied about where the fee came from. Never again will I order from this company.

Fares posted are fraudulent
Posted by Artlipscomb on 11/20/2013
Tried to purchase airfare last night. Each time I clicked buy, the price jumped 200.00. Finally after 3 attempts went to Kayak and was able to buy for less than the posted fare on Travelocity.

Never Use Travelocity - Poor Service Booking Hotels
Posted by The_pc_guy on 11/18/2013
November 9 was our anniversary, we booked a trip to Vegas to enjoy the weekend. I got on Travelocity (first time using it) and found what I thought was a great hotel in Vegas. "The Palace Station" Ratings had the hotel at 4 out of 5 stars. The day comes and we take off for the road trip to Vegas. When we get there we check into the hotel. First thing the guy behind the counter says is do you want to upgrade your room for 50.00 more a night? I was like no thank you my room will be fine( remembering what the pictures looked like on Travelocity. He looks at me and with an attitude he said ok suite yourself. Tosses the keys on the counter and walks away. Well I wasn't going to let a pencil neck moron like that ruin my trip, so we walk towards the rooms to see them. Walked through the casino which smelled like a pissed on ashtray. We get to the hallway that leads to the rooms and I noticed that it's the back alley of the hotel. We walked past the loading docks and the dumpsters to a hallway where it smelled like a portapotty was tipped over. We get to the room and open the door and there are 2 full beds squeezed into a room that's about 10ft long by 8 ft wide. RIDICULOUS! By then I was pissed! I headed for the front counter and told the lady there I was not happy at all with the room they had given me and its not what I paid for. She replied with ok I have another room for you. It's 3 doors down from the one you have now. I FELT LIKE I WAS GOING TO EXPLODE!

Went to check the next room, even worse. I walked back to the counter again and told them that I was not staying in that room and that I would call Travelocity to help me make this right and the manager replied with ok. I'll check you out right now and I need you to leave. My Vegas trip was ruined thanks to Travelocity and The Palace Station Hotel! Bottom lines learned was to always use Expedia!

To make matters worse, I called Travelocity and was on hold for 8 1/2 hours. Just to hear them say sorry nothing we can do. It will take 7-10 days for a refund. Here it is November 20, still waiting for a refund. Travelocity is a joke!

The same thing would have happened with Expedia. They would have booked the hotel you wanted and that would have been it. The only difference is that your reservation would have Expedia's name on it instead of Travelocity. Your request of "making it right" won't be taken care of if it costs the agency any money to change anything.
