I was looking for a card that would give me double miles for traveling, so Capital One offered one but the bottom line is it would take you years to accumulate the miles needed for air travel for example: If you bought a $500 airline ticket it would take 50,000 miles to purchase the ticket that means you would have to charge $25,000 on the card. I don't know about you but that would take a few years to earn that many points, well anyway I canceled the card the day after I received it. Just a waste of time. There are better offers out there.

Cap One appears to give pretty complete details - one example is here: http://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/venture-rewards/

What do you feel is misleading about the card or their advertising? The most obvious feature I see is it states 2 miles for every dollar spent, which appears consistent with what you reported.

The issue is they are not miles. They are 2% cashback which is not = to 1mile. EG. on AA a flight in off season to Amsterdam is 40K miles, if you do the purchase with Cap one, the best deal you will find is for 1205.00 which is 120500 cap one miles and that is 60K spend not 40k spend like you would with a AA card.
