Dell Computer Corporation Complaint - I.D. Theft Not Acknowledged
My ex used my personal information to steal my identity and have a computer delivered to him in CA when I live in WA. I've been fighting with Dell for two years. When we were together I did have an account (established in 2002). When he bought the computer we'd been separated for over a year and were in the process of working on divorce proceedings.
I filed a police report as soon as I found out about his illegal use of my name and credit. I notified Dell endlessly in writing and by phone. I complained to the Attorneys General of my state.
After two years Dell is still hounding me despite all my legal attempts to get them to stop.
I do not have this computer. I do not own this computer. I did not order, or authorize, the order of this computer.
You cannot get a live person to contact you. If you do, they never resolve anything. They also try to re-age the bill, a move I understood is illegal in Washington State.
I just received an attempt to collect from me on Sun., April 6, 2008. I gave the man the name of my attorney because at this point I don't know what to do. This is an obvious attempt to re-age this matter.
