ROHNERT PARK, CALIFORNIA -- I've just had one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life at Jennifer Convertibles! I went in to look at sofa beds. The sales person was talking about "sofas" and "beds" and "upgrades" and I simply did not understand what she was talking about or what the total price of what I wanted was. She became increasingly agitated and then in response to my continued questions she started saying things like, "I don't know how I can make it much clearer," "I give up!"

We wound up in a shouting match (this is 100% against my personality as I am NOT a confrontational person) with me telling her I was the customer who had come in to buy a sofa bed and she was making me feel very stupid and I was positively stunned when she told me to "get out of her store!" I was so furious and came home to write to their headquarters to complain about this woman and could not find a phone number on their website or an email address.

Then I googled Jennifer Convertibles headquarters, and came up with hundreds of wonderful negative feedbacks from people. Thank you everyone! Thank you miserable, rude manager at the Rohnert Park, CA Jennifer Convertibles store. You saved me from buying a cheap, inferior bed! You saved me from probably never getting the bed I purchased delivered! I'm so thankful to all who took the time to write about their terrible experiences.

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- My sleeper arrived and the delivery men were on time and courteous. I did not even have a chance to sit on my sofa when I noticed a stain like 4 fluid drops dried on the right arm and a dirt smudge on the right side. It takes the joy out of buying a new sofa when you find something like this. I called my dealer on 814 North Avenue and they said they will send a technician to look at it and service it. The dealer representative was nice.

But I am very disappointed that I get a new piece of furniture with marks on it after taking off work for delivery. Now I have to deal with taking off work again for someone to come out and look at it. Then what? Next time I will go to IKEA where I can see what I am getting before leaving the place.

CLEVELAND, OHIO -- I thought Jennifer Convertibles deserved a good review to keep the balance. People never take the time for kudos. I went to the Shaker Heights Store in Cleveland, worked with the manager and had excellent help. The manager was extremely knowledgeable. I had special ordered my sofa and had to wait 6 weeks which is very normal in the furniture business. I did decide that the delivery fees were outrageous and chose rather to pick the sofa up with a rented van. The sofa came in on-time, undamaged and looks wonderful.

I had a couple of questions once I got it home and unpacked, so I called the store again and talked to another knowledgeable and helpful employee. He answered all of my questions and even folded out a sofa bed to check something for me while I waited on the phone. I guess we'll see if the sofa bed lasts, since a couple of the reviews said they would not.

NY, NEW YORK -- I am interested in purchasing merchandise from Jennifer convertible and am interested in knowing what the payment policy is. I want to pay in full. I would like to purchase their promotional sofa bed and love seat for $599.99.

CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA -- After reading all the negative reviews regarding purchases from Jennifer Convertibles, my husband and I are going to shop somewhere else for our sofa bed. All the negative reviews really helped us in making our decision. The one good review from New Jersey didn't help sway our decision any since it seems like they just purchased their furniture. Yep, I think we'll look else where and pay the extra cash for a good quality sofa bed and avoid any unforeseen circumstances with Jennifer. Thanks and good luck to all of you in getting your sofas repaired / exchanged.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- AWFUL!!!! Besides the cushions always sinking into the sofa bed, I recently discovered that the bed frame was never properly drilled into the wood frame of the sofa. First, I thought a screw was loose, then realized there was never a hole even drilled. I called customer service, and since it was a yr past my warranty they wouldn't repair it. It's not like I asked for a new sofa, just for them to send someone to drill in the hole. DO NOT BUY!!!!

MIAMI, FLORIDA -- Don't ever buy a sofabed in Jennifer Convertibles. I bought one, less than 2 months ago, and when you sleep on the bed, you can feel the coils sticking in your body. I called them to return it, and they say there is no policy. The mattress even has a whole in the middle, which makes you have to sleep in the middle of the mattress with your body being pushed to the center of the bed. Really bad quality, and there solution, is upgrade to a $300 mattress, when the sofa itself cost $400. It's ridiculous.

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA -- I bought the sofa bed from Jennifer Convertibles. When I was buying it I picked the same color as the floor model. Lady salesperson said they have it in stock, exactly the color I want. When I received the sofa it is appeared to be wrong color. Instead of brown it came white. I called the store and they told me that the couch I bought available just in one color and I could do nothing about it. I can not return the sofa because the model was on sale. I will never buy anything from this company again.

Don't get a couch from Jennifer Convertibles unless you don't want it for 3 months... I bought a couch at the end of January and I was told that it couldn't be delivered until mid March. 3 days before delivery I was told that it didn't get shipped on-time and would be delivered the next week. Then I was told that the couch again wasn't shipped out and couldn't delivered 2 weeks after the original delivery date. I've been waiting nearly two months for the couch.
