MASSACHUSETTS -- Since the incident, Liberty Mutual has shown bad faith. Despite the fact proven by weather condition, phone company and TV company who had to replaced their equipment due to the lightning, Liberty Mutual has shown me no good faith and tried everything to delay the payment. Finally, after expert and 7 months they sent me a $3,464.47 check instead of more than $55,000 in damaged. I strongly advise to choose another homeowner insurance to anyone. One of my friend has a similar experience with them so it looks like a pattern with this company.
I have tried to receive money due to me. $1500.00 from a claim by their insured. 100% at fault and they still have not paid. I send them information requested and they say they never received it or when they do they interpret their way. Terrible customer service. I was warned at the beginning of the claim that they were the worst in the industry and they sure are.
GLENDALE AND SURPRISE, ARIZONA -- Bogus (expired) rate quotes for advertised reduced rates. Quotes have already expired when quoted! Fraudulent and deceptive business practices. Agents then "up-sell" and try to gain homeowner's business prior to autos which premiums are not competitive.
In November 2009, I hit a stopped car and totaled my 2003 Sienna minivan. Liberty Mutual guided me through what I needed to do and quickly gave me a fair settlement on the Sienna. My insurance premiums have not increased. Based on my experience, I would recommend the company to others.
Liberty Mutual denied my payments after paying for coverage for 23 years. I am now on social security disability. My health has declined drastically. I lost my income, job, health insurance and pride. I should have had 3 years to resolve my health issues. But without health insurance all treatments stopped. Now I have more severe problems.
I just received a letter dated 6/11/06 stating that on 2/28/06, the computer of one of Liberty Mutual's employees was stolen. Following an investigation, the computer was not recovered. The only thing they sent me was a letter almost 4 months later saying that I need to submit a fraud alert to any of the credit reporting agencies. What was the employee doing taking personal information off the company premises? This is very irresponsible. I feel that Liberty Mutual, an insurance company, is now a liability.
