False advertisement poor customer service

Booked a trip to Punta Cana with an advertised discount of 15%. Did not receive the discount but did get 4 different excuses why. Obviously staff is not qualified, nobody has the same excuse twice. Flights changed, received alert, this was okay. Flights changed a second time with no alert. I happened to find this change by logging onto my trips. My connecting flight in New York left before I arrived there.

I managed to get this fixed after several phone calls and emails (which I don't think they actually read as they're responses made no sense). Customer service is awful, they make no attempt to make their clients happy. I have booked with BJ's vacations for many years with no problem, and will never book with Orbitz again.

If you book your vacation with this company, pray that everything goes as planned. Their customer service is in India or ???. They will do NOTHING to help you rearrange your travel plans if there is a glitch and then quote "agreement terms" while stealing your money. Take my advice and do not book through this company unless you feel real lucky. I missed my flight and the only help Orbitz offered was to cancel my vacation and maybe get some hotel cost refunded if the hotel agreed. They could not even find another flight for my family and said "your on your own, book your flight yourself".

Don't waste your money on their travel insurance because it does not cover anything. Not even re-booking because of a hurricane, like Dean which we barely made it out of. I can go on and on, but until I have the opportunity to make a myspace on vacations from hell, take my word for it. Be careful what you buy and sign. We have been married for over 16 years and have worked hard for over 26 years but still got taken. We never thought it could happen to us.

Orbitz ruined my vacation!

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased round trip tickets from San Diego to Pereira Colombia from Orbitz. The price was great, $672, the problem is that I never received the tickets and they refuse to be responsible and rectify the situation. They sent (supposedly) the tickets via UPS and the tickets were allegedly delivered to me on 10/25 at 9:15 PM. Well I am home at that time and I never received the tickets! Then Orbitz told me to file a claim with UPS. UPS says that I can't do that. Next, Orbitz told me to file a LCA with Continental Airlines. Continental Airlines told me not to do that. They told me that by doing so, I would basically be buying the tickets again and paying a $100 surcharge to boot.

Right now I'm disputing the charges with my credit card because I'm paying for merchandise that I never received, but since my trip is 11/27, 23 days away, it's ruined. Thanks Orbitz! I hope you go out of business. You certainly deserve to with your poor treatment of your customers. If UPS is so unreliable you should offer customers more options for ticket delivery. I prefer USPS certified. If you want to avoid a disaster such as my lost vacation to Colombia avoid Orbitz like the plague.

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- Q1. What do you do if a Customer calls several times to correct a reservation?

Orbitz: Just tell them that you fixed it and get them off the phone!

Q2. What do you do if a Customer writes about the issue to Corporate?

Orbitz: Just ignore customers, they are so annoying!

Need Vacation Pkg Manager Contact Info

TAMPA, FLORIDA -- I booked my trip last week - paying $1752 - today this same package is $1518 and I am now being told that Orbitz does not guarantee prices, and I cannot get an adjustment. I'm looking for contact info for an upper level manager to handle this! Any help is appreciated!

Poor Customer Service - Mis Sold

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- We bought a package to Cancun that included as an upgrade, a daily Buffet Breakfast. Arrived at the hotel and there was no record of the Breakfast. Value about $280. I emailed customer service and they emailed back saying I had to call!! From Mexico to Boston. Called and 30 minutes later they had no solution and I had a $40 phone bill. No contact since I returned despite requests. I will never use Orbitz again and will tell anyone I know that they may not receive what they pay for. Dreadful dreadful company.
