Irresponsible and rude management

FREDERICK, MARYLAND -- Ordered one of their famous pizzas online only to arrive at the store and was advised by the counter person that I would have to wait another 35 to 40 minutes because the one person in the store was fulfilling an order for 200 pizzas that was received the day before. Needless to say an argument ensued and the store manager was requested and was advised that there was no store manager. A number for a district manager was requested and the employee refused to give out the number.

How the heck do you run a business without having an on site manager or responsible person to field complaints or more important on site EMERGENCIES. Regardless the local police department was called in by the customer to obtain the district managers number for the customer.

After explaining to the responding officer what was going on the officer entered the store to obtain management information for the customer. After speaking with the employee the officer advised that the employee refused to give him the information for management contacts.

Police officer advised customer that he would strongly advise contacting a district manager or Papa John's Corporate to file a complaint. Officer also was amazed that there was no on site manager or responsible person to even contact in an emergency i.e. fire or other emergency that needed attention ASAP. Papa John's needs to get their act together and have responsible managers on site and emergency contact numbers for the customers and police and fire department.

Delivery Person a Lunatic

TAYLORS, SOUTH CAROLINA -- Just had pizza delivered to my house earlier this evening and the person that delivered it flew into my driveway so fast he almost hit my 9 year old son on his skateboard. Then was rude handing the pizza over. Seemed upset I didn't include a tip although I paid almost $2.00 in delivery for a restaurant half a mile away. Told HIM "thank you", not a word back.

Then my dog ran out and while we were in the midst of running after him to get him back in the house rude pizza boy backed up at 30 miles an hour and zoomed out of my subdivision. Saw the dog run out but didn't even look to see if it was behind his car or anything. Totally irresponsible and rude. Called the manager of the Taylors branch to complain and gee, "sorry". That's it. Will NEVER order pizza from them again. They are overpriced anyway and then I couldn't even find more than 3 mushrooms pieces on my extra mushroom pizza. Total waste of money to order from them. They need to improve on customer service BIG TIME.

ASPEN HILL, MARYLAND -- Let this be known that this is not the first incident, but I am now just fed up and now switched over to "Pizza Bolis." After ordering a pizza from online and waiting at least one hour and a half. I decided to call them to no avail. Only to constantly reach a busy tone, now I just want to cancel this order never mind I have 3 starving kids who were waiting for this pizza, no call no show and they will keep my money for three days, so now I have no money to feed these kids.

I would like to know can we charge companies interest on refunds. Anyway I am highly pissed while writing this complaint, I will never order from again and will be forwarding this letter throughout the internet. Thank you for nothing!!!

COLUMBUS, OHIO -- I made the mistake of ordering from Papa John's in the past and have avoided making that mistake again. My complaint rather rests in that one of their driver's ran me off of the road this evening (negligently, rather than malevolently). Had there been no Berm for me to swerve into, I very well may be dead, as he turned directly into my driver side door. He had been swerving between lanes before he decided to attempt plowing into me. I have never had such a harrowing experience on the road. I made the mistake of calling the store rather than the police. Like my first mistake of once ordering their horrible pizza. This is not a mistake I will repeat.

Took Forever, and Order Was Wrong!

DALLAS, TEXAS -- I ordered $50.00 worth of pizza and was very disappointed. All three of my pizzas were made wrong. We are a pork-free family and my veggie pizza had pepperoni on it. My Buffalo chicken pizza had bacon bits on it. And my hamburger pizza which I called and specifically told them no pickles on it they had put pickles on it then scrapped them off. There were pieces of pickles on it and tasted like pickle juice.

It was an hour when they called and re asked me about the pickles and said the pizza was on its way, and then it was ANOTHER hour before I got my pizza. It was cold. When I called to get the pizzas fixed my husband to get the new ones and the new pizzas were cold even at the restaurant. I will never order from there again. I was so disappointed. I was trying to do something sweet for my hubby, because he had been seeing the commercial for the hamburger pizza, and I felt like I failed him with cold gross pizza. Never again.

Cold Incorrect Order From Papa John's. No Effort to Correct

FT. WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA -- Tonight I ordered pizza from Papa John's. Had Thursday special in my email inbox. Also ordered 2 liter Pepsi. Over 30 minutes later, the pizza arrived cold, with no garlic butter, and no Pepsi. Called the store and was told it was I who ordered the pizza, not them, and it wasn't their fault. In other words, screw you - they're busy.

I'm not accustomed to being treated this way. Additionally pizza delivery is a competitive business, and Pizza Hut has one-upped you almost every time. We had stopped using you guys for a while due to a past issue, and now this has happened on our first order subsequently. Please give a response other than it is OUR FAULT. Could we possibly give you another chance? Not without compensation of some sort an and adequate response.

I will be happy to post this on FB, but don't want to. Awaiting your response. So are my friends and relatives. Your food is good, but we don't expect to have cold pizza and rude people. P.S. The delivery man was confused, but obviously he was doing the best he could.

Terrible Service and Always Late

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE -- For many years I have been a loyal Papa John's client and shareholder. Lately (last 6 months) their deliveries (on Gallatin Road/Nashville, TN) have always been late. This last time I called to confirm the order would be on time. I was told they were busy and could not guarantee it would be on time. I asked for the District Manager's name.

The "Manager" of the store became very hostile. Said he did not know who I was. I gave him my name and again asked for the District Manager's name. He refused by hanging up on me. So I called Headquarters. Spoke with a lady in Customer Service. She promised that a Manager from HQ would call. That was over a month ago. I called two weeks ago and said nobody has called. A new person apologized and assured me somebody would call.

Today I called HQ again. A very nice receptionist said the only thing she could do is transfer me to Customer Service, even though I was calling to complain about Customer Service. She could not even transfer me to a person in Shareholder services. This is not her fault, it is the fault of upper management that does NOT care about the customer. Short sided... As a shareholder, I have decided it is time to dump the stock and never eat at Papa John's again.

Horrible Delivery Person

SMITHFIELD, VIRGINIA -- Tonight I ordered a pizza (total $14.32) and was told it would arrive in 35 or so minutes (fine). I have ordered from them many times. Papa John's in the past have had wonderful delivery drivers and I always made sure to tip them well. Nevertheless tonight I got a call from this young lady with an "attitude" telling me she was at some address on my street that I had no idea where. She rudely told me to come outside so she could see me. I exited my front door and my porch light came on. She said “Is that your light?”, and hung up.

All of a sudden a car speeds down my neighbor's driveway crossing a small ditch we use for drainage coming within inches of hitting her Mercedes and her husband's Corvette. She rudely grabs the pizza and thrusts it towards me as I am asking why she did that. Her attitude increasingly worsens, so I refused the pizza. Nevertheless, she was not happy, and I asked her to leave my property. We got into a shouting match, but she will not disrespect me in my front yard. I will not order from them again.

On Hold for 15 Minutes No One Ever Answered!

CENTERVILLE, GEORGIA -- I called Papa John's to order, only to be greeted by a computer saying please hold for the next available person or go to Papa John's online. This went on for 20 minutes, finally I called the Papa John's across town and they answered! I placed the order and they said they couldn't deliver to my address. they told me to call the previous store and I said I did and they never answered.

I asked can you place the order for me and they said no, and I said let me talk to the manager and I told him the story and he had no resolution. He didn't offer to deliver this one time, I even offered to tip the driver more, and he said nope with an arrogance in his voice. I think they are trying to drive customers to their website to order so they can cut back on employees and I will never do business with a company like that again.

REVERE, MASSACHUSETTS -- This is the 4th time I try Papa John's online. Their service is horrible they feel 45 minutes to 1 hour to place a freak in order then you wait another hour for them to deliver... this happened to me with them 3 times and today July 1 2013 I've tried them again.

I was on the phone 2hr they kept asking me to repeat my order 4 times and every time they ask me for my credit card .. I was charged 5 times for the order. I call customer service and their answer was sorry you got to wait 1 to 5 days for your money back.... they suck. I will never use them again
