LINCOLN, NEBRASKA -- I have eaten at another Red Robin in Omaha a few years ago and thought that my son who enjoy their "endless" steak fries, as he is 14 and a very picky eater. He was impressed with all the pictures hanging up and went to look around. We ordered our food and I stated to the waitress that he was a picky eater and did they have just chicken & fries. It is called Clucks & Fries and cost 9.99 not to include the 2.49 for his Dr. Pepper. I ordered the swiss & mushroom burger and she asked "pink or no pink?" I stated no pink and that was it. Took about 10 minutes for our food to come and my son's came with 4 pcs. of chicken and 12 fries!! I know it's endless but come on.

Ended up the fries were cold and his chicken was spicy. He would not eat it and my burger was pink and lukewarm. And then when had a visitor at our table - an ant!! My son got the waitress and she smashed it with her finger and didn't even wipe off the table or give us a different one. I was floored and asked to speak with the manager "**". She apologized for the ant and stated that the chicken is pre-seasoned and spicy. She told us they had a chicken patty or breast and I explained he is a picky eater and would not eat those.

Told her I was disappointed in food and service because when the waitress dropped off our check she asked when I would pay because her manager wanted her to clock out!! I am a single mother who lives on disability and to eat out at someplace other than McDonald's (which probably would have been better) doesn't happen often. The manager did take off his dinner but after paying mine and leaving a $2 tip it was still almost $16.

It's not like they were busy because my ticket states the time was 3:49 pm. And maybe 8-10 tables occupied. Who else do you complain to? Corporate office has NO website and what would they do? Just needed to vent and hopefully someone else out there doesn't have the experience we did.

Bad Dining Experience

I took my 10 year old daughter for lunch to the Pittsburgh, Robinson Two location on a Saturday since it was her birthday. The food was greasy. I had the Red Robin burger and the egg was rubbery. The bun was so stale it crumbled in my hands as I was eating it. After I took a 2 bites of my burger I went for my fries and realized there was a small black hair sitting on top of them. I didn't want to upset my daughter's birthday so just pushed the fries away.

I then decided to ask for the manager and after about 10 long minutes ** came over and when I told her about the hair, she asked to see it and acted like I was lying. I couldn't find the small hair and really didn't feel like looking through the fries to find it. I also told her about the stale bun but she just made excuses and said it was fresh. She said she came over to my table and asked how everything was and I said fine but that was before I even took a bite of my food. My daughter has adhd and this experience ruined her birthday lunch since it just grossed us out. The cook had an unkempt beard and dreadlocks with no hair nets or beard cover.

The manager never offered to replace my food. I emailed guest relations a few days later, and they sent me a letter thanking me for my feedback but did not offer me a small gift card to replace my meal. I also found a hair on my fries a few months earlier when dining with friends and didn't complain because I didn't want to be embarrassed or make a scene in front of my friends and co-workers. I am finished with this place. Also their food is overly priced for what you get. Their burgers are not gourmet at all.

Waitress served our COLD food on a tray with dirty dishes on it! Nasty, sarcastic manager implied that we were liars.. DISASTER!

On a Sunday afternoon, the 6 of us arrived at Red Robin in East Stroudsburg, PA. Five of us ordered burgers and one of us ordered a soup/salad entree. When my sister's soup arrived, it was cold. The waitress returned with another soup but it was on the same tray as another customer's dirty dishes. She told her that she didn't want it because that was disgusting and she tried to deny that she put it on the same tray as the garbage even though we all clearly saw her do it.

A few minutes later, our burgers came and they were cold as well. When we complained, she told us she would get the manager to handle it. The manager came over to us and was extremely nasty and condescending towards us. He acted as if he didn't believe that our burgers were cold and questioned us in a very aggressive manner. Then, he turned to my sister, who was eating her salad and sarcastically asked her if her salad was cold too. She said "Uh, Yes but it's supposed to be cold."

He responded with a smart ass remark saying "Well, if their burgers were cold then your salad should have been warm since they had to have been sitting there waiting for the waitress, right?".... Then, he got even nastier and said "What exactly would you like me to do here for you? Freshen up your burgers?".. He rolled his eyes and walked away.

We found that to be very unprofessional and disrespectful. We weren't looking for any freebies, just some understanding. We had no reason to lie about not being satisfied with our burgers. We're very disappointed with the staff's service and behavior. I really hope this doesn't happen again to another customer because no one deserves to be treated like a liar and a fool just for trying to get what they paid for.

High Price for Sub-Par Food

Last Saturday me and the girls had a "Girls Night Out" and went shopping. We decided on getting burgers and fries and came upon Red Robin. This was all of our first times eating at this particular chain and decided to try it. The decor is nice, albeit the atmosphere is very loud. Not a big deal since we are all mom's and are used to an insane amount of noise. Our order was simple, one Mushroom Swiss Burger, one Guacamole Bacon Burger, one California Chicken Burger, and a Crispy Chicken Burger. We also ordered two freckled lemonades and two Dr. Peppers.

It took 20 minutes to bring out our drinks, the lemonade I ordered was so sweet it made my teeth hurt. Yet the strawberries were bitter. I asked for a water. When our food came 10 minutes later they gave us the wrong order. The table next to us got our food and we got theirs. After an argument with both the server and manager we finally got them to admit their error and waited another 30 minutes to give us new food.

We finally got our food and we were completely unimpressed. The burgers, while good, were certainly not worth $10.00 (US) we paid for them. The toppings were plentiful, albeit too much in my friends Guacamole Bacon Burger. So much so that it actually took away the taste of the actual burger. I'm all for toppings on a burger, but not so much that I can't taste the meat.

The steak fries were just O. K. They were hot and crispy but lacked any kind of flavor. Even with salt the fries were still just bland. None of us wound up eating them. My California Chicken Burger (no mayo) was good, again, not worth the $10.00 (US) I paid for it, but it was better than something you can purchase at a drive-through. All in all this restaurant wasn't worth it and we left disappointed with both the food and service. The prices are way too high for what they are offering and certainly not worth it. You are and will be better off going to Culver's or even Burger King.

NORMAN, OKLAHOMA -- My family and I went to Red Robin to eat dinner tonight. So we thought! The Hostess that took us to a table was less than thrilled to be there, we could tell by her lake of words. Then we sat at our table for 15 minutes waiting for someone to take our drink/dinner order. Noticed that another family that came in after us got seated and immediately got their drinks and appetizers. All while we were STILL waiting for someone to even notice we were there! So about 20 minutes into waiting at our table a waitress came and apologized and told us she wasn't aware that she had our table tonight and took our drink order.

Ten minutes later she STILL had not returned with our drinks or even stopped by to say she was getting them. We continued to watch her serve other people. So me and my family got up after waiting 35 minutes for service!! Very disappointed! We have eating here many times and this has never happened! Not sure if we will return with service or lack thereof again!!!

Manager With an "I Just Don't Care About You" Attitude
By -

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- I took my kids to have lunch at Red Robin, and my son stands on the padded side of the booth and all of a sudden he disappears. The seat of the booth slipped down and my son ended in the hole of the both. After a few minutes the manager comes around with a very lazy tone asks "what happened?" so I fill out the complain form and that was it.

After paying for our meals, I have the manager come back just to let him know that for being manager he is lousy. He showed no empathy for my son, or me or the situation. I never heard an "I'm sorry for what happened" "Do you want or need to call any medical service?" Nothing! This man just does not have any service skills!

I Won't Go Back

DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA -- On Monday I took some of my grandchildren to Red Robins' my first and last time. The youngest child I had there was 6. My grand daughter turned 11 and that is where she wanted to go for her birthday. I had 2 16 years old, 1 11 year old and 1 6 year old and the rest adults. We had a nice size group. The kids order the bottomless drinks and fries.

Let me tell you my grandsons can eat. After their 5th drink and 3rd fries the manager came up and told us we had reached our limit. Call me crazy but if it is BOTTOMLESS you can order as much as you can eat. My kids didn't waste anything. After she came over to tell me that she went to the waiter and they started talking about and we heard them.

My grandchildren's feeling were hurt and I was upset. I worked at a large business and I am telling everyone to boycott and so far I have a lot of people on my side. I feel the way the manager should have handle that was wrong. To be talked about and being pointed at and looked at was wrong. We were not loud or disrespectful. Even my 11 year doesn't want to go back.

GLEN ALLEN, VIRGINIA -- Order a salad and ask for french dressing and the waitress stated unpleasant "we do not have french dressing." I know that the salad I order stated that it recommended honey mustard, but I do not LIKE honey mustard on my salad. I ask them what kind of dressing they served and she in a nasty attitude responded what they had and I chose the Italian dressing.

When the salad came to the table the server had honey mustard and she did ask if everything was of and I stated fine. The waitress taking the order should have let the server know what kind of dressing was ordered. I must say the ordering waitress did come around and notice that the dressing was wrong and brought me the correct, with a snotty tone to her voice, "here what you ordered," and a smirky smile! This was my first time at your restaurant and that will be the last!!! ;-(

CITRUS HEIGHTS, CALIFORNIA -- One week after my surgery, I took my family to one of my favorite restaurants. The host told me 20 minutes which was cool to wait. Well, 20 minutes turned into 45 minutes with lots of attitude. The manager, all he said was, "I'm sorry and no accommodation." One question, "can I get the number to a corporate?" He sad no. I will get in touch with them but now I do not know how. Soon I'll go back there if I will at all. MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER.

Awesome food but TERRIBLE SERVICE

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- The waiter never asked how our food was, didn't ask if we wanted desert, and the waiter seemed very smug! Loved the hamburger but if they want to keep service they need better waiters and prices.
