CANTERBURY, CONNECTICUT -- I e-mailed DD about a new shop that they had opened in Canterbury, Ct. Before DD opened its shop, there was a different donut shop there, the shop was a owned by a family who owned a total of five donut shops in the surrounding towns. They were not part of DD. I always went to this donut shop on my way through. On my last trip though I found it was now a DD shop. I asked why the change. I was told the other shop was run out by DD. It seems that this other owner didn't own this building so DD told them "We'll build right across from you and outsell you," so this other owner sold out.
My question to DD was: What gives DD the right to treat people like that. That family's small business would not have put even a dent into DD earnings. I received a e-mail as to a different problem other than the one I stated in my e-mail. When I answered their e-mail it was sent back to me saying failure to deliver due to not responding in time. It wasn't even three hours between e-mails. Guess it must be their way of avoiding my question. I will never enter another DD as long as I live. To treat other people like they're dirt just so you can own every place you want is pretty rotten to me.
HOLLIS, MAINE -- I've been in the food service industry for over 40 years. This new turkey cranberry cheese sandwich is terrible. For one thing the turkey is processed. The combination of the processed meat and the cheese overwhelms the cranberry sauce. Try fresh baked turkey with cranberry sauce and stuffing next time. While I'm on the subject of your products, particularly your donuts. Your filled donuts are not cooked enough--They should be light and fluffy. I fried donuts for over 10 years. Another thing, I ate more than three quarters of a Boston creme donut before I tasted custard.
I was told by my husband who is a truck driver and he is over the road a lot and he likes to stop at your company but now he say there is no place that you have that sells peanut donuts anymore and I would like to know why. But you use sugar to make your donuts and what about the people that can't have sugar?
Years ago a trip to Dunkin Donuts was a special treat. I used to drive with a Dunkin Donut coffee cup attached to my dashboard, full of dunkin' coffee. Now the donuts are hard as a rock if you purchase one any time after 7 AM. They sit out to get hard fast. The art of dunking is no longer at Dunkin Donuts. Poor quality. Appears the corporation no longer gives a damn about the consumer. Sorry Dunkin but after 50 years of loyalty I quit.
NORTH CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA -- For the last 3 times we ordered 1 doz we get stale donuts. The only two that are fresh is the toasted coconut and the plain cake ones. The rest we had to go home and microwave in order for them to taste fresh. Will not go back there again.
MIDWEST;3 DIFFERENT STATES -- I won't go to another DD again. I don't live near one and after the last visit I said never again. The last time I was overcharged but since they couldn't speak English very well it wasn't worth the hassle to try to straighten it out. Then I remembered a couple of years ago in Griffith, In. I got a lot sugar twice after making eye contact and saying in a clear masculine voice "no sugar". And in Hammond In. and Taylor Mi. I was given extra donuts; fine but all the donuts were stale. I won't go back!
WOODBRIDGE, VIRGINIA -- Went to my local Dunkin Donuts this morning, in Woodbridge VA. They got my order wrong and I had to go back. Shouldn't have bothered, the donuts are terrible. Felt and tasted like they were old and it was 9am. Staff was very unfriendly as well. Won't be going to Dunkin Donuts anymore.
