Junk Chinese Cheap Worthless Wireless Devices
By -

I just received a NEW Replacement for one of my Samsung wireless devices. I have 5 lines with cheap Chinese trash Samsung phones, and all have been upgraded to Samsung within the last 2 months. All 5 phones have had to be replaced with more Cheap Samsung phones, because they are ALL DEFECTIVE CHINESE JUNK. The latest replacement was received and activated on 09/07/10, and worked 2 days and had problems with the wallpaper on the home page changing randomly. The third day the ring tones changed randomly. Next it would turn off by itself.

I returned it to Verizon after using it for 6 days. Verizon does not honor the warranty or the 30-day worry free guarantee. Stay away from both Samsung and Verizon, they are both scam artists and you will own junk and will get nowhere with customer service.

Failure to repair a faulty cell phone

PLANO, TEXAS -- Phone would none or one and rarely two signal strength bars. Took two calls to Samsung customer support before they agreed to allow me to send it in for warranty repair. Each time I talked to customer service they told me that it was not the phone but my Service provider.

Finally sent the phone in for repair and it was returned in same condition it was in before sending it to them. I have used other EDGE phones and in face used another Samsung phone with EDGE and they all work from my home while the phone I wanted repaired did not and does not allow me to make calls from my home or even outside my home except on very rare occasions. Other phones tested showed no less than two bars and usually showed four. Phone in question usually shows none and rarely shows one which usually goes away after a few moments. SO MUCH FOR AN HONEST ATTEMPT AT REPAIRING A FAULTY PHONE.

My daughter-in-law and I both purchased a Samsung Video Camera at Best Buy in Hickory, NC in February 2009. We did not purchase extra warranty service on the cameras. After 3 months both cameras started acting up. They would not record video on the disc and kept showing a "write disc error". At first we thought we had purchased bad disc so we did not complain right away. We figured out that the problem was with the camera In October 2009 and sent them back to be fixed. Best Buy told us that there was a bad laser in the camera and that this was a known problem for this particular camera.

Best Buy wanted $160.00 for labor to fix it (since it was past the 3 month warranty on labor) and Samsung wanted $120. We only paid $200.00 for the cameras. If it was a known problem why in the world didn't they fix it for free? I talked to both companies until I was blue in the face but it did no good. If you are reading this please beware of Samsung and Best Buy, and by all means spend the extra money for the extended warranty. Evidently everything they sell and or produce is junk!

Samsung 32" Problems & Warranty Policy Problems
By -

I purchased the above set and had problems with it after just three months. All but one of the HDMI ports did not function. I believe that quality products should last more than three months. But the hard part for me is that when I had problems I had to drive over 100 miles to deliver my TV to the nearest repair facility. On top of that it has been a week now and the repair facility is still not sure when it will be complete. I had this choice or to ship it to NY which would have been terribly expensive and impossible to package! This is their policy with any small sets like 32". I do not feel good about my purchase of a Samsung.

Samsung Tech Service
By -

The Samsung cell phone I purchased 18 months ago would not connect the dialed numbers or when connected I could not hear the other party and vice versa. This is the first time I have ever had a phone fail on me, let alone fail on me during the two year warranty period.

I am an American living in Turkey, but in this global village it no longer matters where you purchase or service a product, what matters is the company that stands behind their product. Try as I have, I could not get a satisfactory response from the Samsung technical service.

The people here were much more bureaucratic than any governmental department. I don't want to go into long drawn out details of my experiences with the Samsung, including sending a message to investor relations at headquarters in Korea, but given this experience I would never buy a Samsung product ever again. In my opinion, any company that does not provide excellent service deserves to fail.

I have other Samsung products, but after this incident they have lost me as a customer. I would never recommend Samsung to any friends or family as well after this horrendous experience with their tech service. Who needs the hassle when there are so many other good companies out there that are fixated on their customers? Will never buy Samsung products again.

Samsung Electronics After Sales Service Does Not Exist!

Thinking of buying Samsung product in Australia?? Think twice as they cannot back up their product! I purchased a home Theatre System which stopped work within a month, so I had to send it back to their local service agent. I rang when a month had gone by with no contact, the service agent said they were waiting to receive the required part.

After two months of still not hearing from anyone I called again, the service agent told me they should be able to get it done by next week & I (The receptionist would ring) by Wednesday. I rang Samsung to talk to them who then called the agent while I was on the phone & asked what the story was. The agent had the cheek to turn around & say they had just received the part. So another two weeks has now passed & still no contact from Samsung or the service agent. Needless to say I am not impressed, but what can I do?

Customer Service

I had posted that after contacting the BBB, Samsung was finally going to send a refund in 4-6 weeks. That was July 7, '09. Since then I have called five more times. On November 5th I called and was told the refund was posted and would be sent out on November 10th. NOT. Called today and was told for some reason it was rejected and of course no one has looked into it, but they will today.

I have recontacted the BBB with the update and suggested they not close cases until they have documentation that it was resolved. I will never, ever, ever purchase another Samsung product because of customer service. This has been going on since March. It has been a nightmare!

Final update. It took a total of ten (10) months to get a refund. I had started calling numbers I found on the internet and must have called the right person. He was president of something to do with customer service. Within 10 minutes I received a call back from a woman that advised me the check was going in the mail and to please not call the person I had contacted again. Within two days I had my refund.

Terrible Customer Service

I bought a Samsung Blue Ray video player approximately 6 months ago. About six weeks ago it became unable to play certain Blue Ray Videos. I called a dealer and found out that the machine was already obsolete. I then called Samsung and they told me that they would send me a disc that I could insert in the Blue Ray Player that would take care of the problem. That was around September 16th. Outrageously, they say their policy is that you should receive the disc within 14 "business days" of when they ship.

I've never heard of any mail for a small disc that takes over two weeks but worse, they tell you they don't ship within any particular period of time after you call. I've now been waiting a month to be able to use my player. Despite having called probably five times I still have not received a disc. It is impossible to get a hold of any one at the company who knows anything or will do anything. All they have told me for three weeks is that it has been shipped.

They refuse to send another disc or tell me when I will get it. I told them I just wanted to return the product and get my money back and they refused. I'm never buying another Samsung product and would suggest for anyone else to stay away from this extremely dysfunctional company!

Worst Service I Have Ever Had
By -

After having the player for 7 months, it died. I returned it for service. Samsung had me ship it to a company called CoAmbra. Once there, it has vanished. Samsung customer service cannot communicate with any other division of Samsung. Customer service can only enter new service items in. They cannot call the service department directly. They can only send interoffice emails, and those emails will only be answered in 48-72 hours. Customer Service will not return phone calls, nor will they forward cases to supervisors that can help. I have asked for the player I sent them to be returned to me, and they have told me it has been destroyed.

I have asked for a replacement, and all I have gotten is a 'promise' that a new one is coming. Each deadline of this promise comes and goes, and for some new reason, Samsung extends the promise time line. I have gotten promises in writing, but they do nothing about this, claim no responsibility, and refuse to do anything about my problem. It is absolutely amazing, and the worst experience I have ever had with a service company. I would strong, STRONGLY suggest that you do not deal with these people.

Hot /Cold Problem/Green Vertical Lines
By -

I as someone else I saw in one of these reviews purchased my TV from BrandsMart on 2/6/06 for $1498.00 plus tax. It's been in a TV repair place for two weeks now and finally I think they are saying the digital board is bad. It's truly sad that a TV this expensive and only 3 years later has a problem this major. Very dissatisfied with this product and will not purchase another Samsung. Started with issues turning it on and then it was all green vertical lines and you can barely see and cannot hear anything. It also had at one point like a bunch of different color dots like a space zone.
