MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN -- I went to the office in Oregon. I have been wearing dentures for 45 years so I know when the fit isn't right. They would not listen to me, the patient and these teeth were like wearing razor blades. The dentist was rude. I got my money refunded and ran out of that office. Pain doesn't begin to describe it. However, I decided to fly to Georgia to visit with my sister and go to the Macon, GA office for some dentures. The people were polite, friendly, and knew what they were doing.

The upper denture fit the very day I left the office and the bottom denture is coming along. The difference is like day and night. Thank goodness to find a place to make a good set of dentures. In my view, the Oregon office should be closed.

SPRING HILL, FLORIDA -- I went to Affordable Dentures to get my top plate and bought the premium package and have gone through hell ever since! I understood that I was to pick the kind of teeth and color that I wanted only to have my choices picked for me and when I told the dentist that I was not happy with the size of the teeth he told me that they would be much smaller once they were set in the plate and how great they looked on me. Well they are horrible and look like horse teeth and it took all I had to get the money to get these and I can't even wear them.

I went back twice before the sixty days were up to see the dentist and got the assistant or receptionist, whoever she was, she does not know how to do teeth! I will have to start saving again for another set and look around for another dentist because I can't wear these and I think it's a shame that so called professionals take advantage of the poor that can't afford to go to a decent dentist. Don't waste your time or your money on these people, pay the extra cause it will be worth it!

SALISBURY, MARYLAND -- Several years ago, I purchased a full set of the medium grade dentures from Affordable Dentures in Salisbury, MD. I would like to say that the dentist, the assistant, and all those involved gave me excellent service. I previously owned a very expensive full set of dentures from a private dentist. They were alright but the service, the quality, and the experience I had in Salisbury, MD was that of professionalism and excellent care. And one that has kept me referring others to this dentist office.

Recently, my brother who lives in New York told me he needed a new set of dentures and I told him it would be worth coming to Salisbury to make the purchase. He is considering it. I cannot speak for the other Affordable Denture locations but I absolutely can and would refer anyone to the office in Salisbury, MD.

MERIDIAN, MISSISSIPPI -- I went in because of the great price on upper plates. When I got in I found out that price was for the junkie looking teeth, it was twice that price for a natural looking plate. The price they offer does not include teeth you get to approve of, you take what they give you. I paid the overpriced they wanted for the best plate. When I got them they looked like baby teeth and were crooked, so they made them again and this time they looked great, but within the week they broke and I had to go back and get them repaired. They would not remake them, they broke again and this time they put a metal plate in the front behind my front teeth.

I will say they look great and wear great but I had to go back so many times to get the fit right. Every time you go in there, it is a waiting time of about 2 or 3 hours. I would never use that company again, GO to a dentist, because in the long run for good looking teeth it will cost you about the same.

CARROLLTON, GEORGIA -- I have had complete dentures for over 30 years. Three weeks ago my lower plate broke in half. I went to Affordable Dentures in Carrollton Georgia to have a complete new set made. The girls were very rude and the doctor probably has no idea how dentures are worn.

When I went back the next day to get my new dentures I could not believe how much larger they were than my last two pairs. These were horse dentures. When the girl started to fit my lower dentures she had to force them over my gum, leaving a painful sore. The teeth are too big and food gets under the lower plate where it didn't on my old ones. She said I would get used to them. I asked why they didn't go by my old ones as they still fit perfect. She said they don't do that.

I wore them for a week and a half and their loose, don't line up correctly and are not comfortable. I went back last Tuesday for an adjustment and was told they are right and get used to it. I have contacted an attorney. To anyone thinking about going to Affordable Dentures please don't. You WILL NOT be happy. Save your money, get a loan, sell the family jewels and go to a dentist who knows what they're doing.

NORTH CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA -- I needed a broken tooth extracted and my health insurance paid very little in regards to dental work and it was the end of the month and it could not wait until the first of next month to be done. I had looked up reviews on line about Affordable Dentures and my goodness the negative reviews, so many of them, if it weren't for me being short on money I would not have gone but I had to take a chance and boy am I glad I did.

Every person I had contact with there was very polite and helpful. Dr. ** did a wonderful job as did his nurse in helping me to relax due to me being nervous for I hate to have teeth pulled and felt no pain during the procedure. The following day I was barely sore at all and really did not need any pain medication which he prescribed just in case. All my fears are relieved and I will not hesitate going back should I require their services again and will tell anyone of my friends how good they were to me.

Also if you put a $25 down payment which will be applied to your total bill in the end they will set you up an appointment so you do not have to wait in line for services, that is a plus! With so much negativity being said about Affordable Dentures I thought someone should know this location is a good one and that not all of them are bad. Glad I took the chance and will do business with them again in the future.

SOUTH HILL, VIRGINIA -- I've read a ton of negative reviews regarding Affordable Dentures, and I was scared to go because of these reviews, but like most of us, I don't have a billion extra dollars to go to a "normal" dentist. I first went to the branch in Colfax, NC (because that office is close to home) a couple of times for some extractions. My experience there was very poor and I don't recommend it. I had to get extensive extractions and so started researching on the web for an Affordable Denture office that had good reviews. The only one I found was in South Hill, VA, so I decided to give it a shot.

I am so incredibly grateful to have found them. The entire office staff were pleasant and kind. Dr. ** was extremely compassionate, caring and fast! He was very skilled. He actually gave me a suggestion that ending up costing less money than what I was intending to spend. I had 6 teeth extracted and a partial on the same day and it was all done with professionalism and compassion. And my new teeth look wonderful.

If you need to have denture work or extractions go here, even if it's a commute - I drove 2.5 hours to get there, and I'll do it again happily. A lot of these places are more like butcher houses than professional medical facilities, but they are all individually operated, and I will recommend this office to everyone.

Most of us find ourselves in this position due to money issues, or dental phobias, or just plain neglect, but whatever the case, we're still people with feelings and deserve respect. Don't go to one of the "butcher houses", make the drive and go to South Hill, it is absolutely the best.

ROCKY GAP, VIRGINIA -- I went into Affordable Dentures 12080 North Scenic Highway Rocky Gap, VA 24366 ph (276) 928-1520 and had two teeth extracted. The following day upon swelling and excruciating pain I called and he had me come back into the office. Once there I explained the problem and after looking at my Tattoos called me a devil worshiper and a junkie. He then started yelling me as I did in return. He also said that I was just looking for pain medicine. I had a legitimate concern and went into an office I trusted because of a previous dentist that worked there.

The dentist I am talking about previously was ** and was seen by my cousin of which did excellent work. I am not sure of the dentist's name that works there now but I think that he should be banned from any future service that deals with the public. He was totally rude to me and I'm sure that if his behavior was as such with me that it has been with others in the past. I appreciate anything that can be done that this man can be reprimanded in some form.

I think that it is unfortunate that so many have had their hard earned money taken without regard for a basic necessity. In our legislatures the American dental association would like our representatives and senators believe that that these type of facilities are the answer for those with limited income but deserve professional care and I would almost guarantee that if you searched that's states licensing board that you might find that there would be maybe one complaint if any. Why? Check it out for yourself. Who's watching who and holding them accountable. You should, it was your money!

Start with finding your state's dental board address and/or phone number. You can also look this up online, keep all your receipts and most of all the Dentures! FILE A COMPLAINT!!! Demand your money back! Changes can be made and it's time that you speak up and keep what's yours or at least get what you paid for. If more people would make the Dental Boards hold these facilities accountable and responsible for their level of care, then and only then will it improve. Remember the squeaky wheel gets the oil and times are to hard to throw away money.

If you don't get satisfaction then call your newspaper or local television. This might seem overkill but right is right and wrong is wrong. Personally I'll speak up. I'm tired of letting these so-called professionals throw around their degrees to take advantage of people and expecting us to take it. I wish you well and hope this might help.

BURNS, TENNESSEE -- On March 1st, 2010, while waiting to see someone about repairing a denture that had cracked, I heard an employee (later told it was a doctor) shouting at a young girl about to lose all her teeth. The girl was beside herself (I can't imagine at that age, losing your teeth) but yelling at her that maybe she had been pampered by her mama, but she needed to MAN UP for this treatment. It was not so much the words, but the manner in which they were spoken. HATEFUL. I did not appreciate being drilled about my choice to have my lower teeth done elsewhere either. I'll leave it at that for now.

It was extremely unprofessional to be so loud that the entire facility could hear this young girl being treated like an imbecile and there was absolutely NO compassion. The abrasiveness and loudness was simply low class and I would think possibly breached some sort of privacy. If this person is in fact a doctor, then crudeness, unprofessionalism, hatefulness and condescending behavior must go with the practice here. People deserve respect, ALL people and I would go to a witch doctor before going back to this place now.
