COLUMBUS, OHIO -- We purchased an Electrolux Vacuum cleaner, and until it needed service we thought we had a wonderful product. When we took it to a reliable repair center, we discovered that it was a "Eureka in sheep's clothing". Apparently Eureka bought the Electrolux name only as the quality seems to prove. Just an f.y.i.
SCHAUMBURG, ILLINOIS -- This company has the worst customer service. The dryer was brand new in a rehabbed home and since I wasn't the original owner it wasn't covered in the warranty. I was on the phone for over 5 hours trying to get help. By far the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'll never buy a product from this company again.
SAVANNAH, GEORGIA -- I bought my wife this "high end" refrigerator approximately a year ago. Like everyone who has posted, the ice maker soon quit working. Technicians have been out to the house, I've talked to technicians on the phone. Parts have been replaced. The ice maker still doesn't work properly. Has anyone out here talked with anyone with Electrolux who has resolved their issue. After all this time I either want a refrigerator that works properly or a refund. Thanks.
Bought the product 12/01/2009, failed 8/5/2010. Needs to circuit board for display. For a top of the line product costing $2500.00, one should not have a failure of a display board within the first 6 months. Electrolux was right on it with a replacement board to me but left the install arrangements "MY PROBLEM". Would strongly advise extended warranty based on this experience as a service call and new board could easily be $300 to $500. Sure glad I picked a different brand of Dishwasher 3 weeks ago.
The microwave stopped working after flashing an error code (can't remember what it was now). The repair was done by an approved agent and within a month it caught on fire while in use. Luckily it was caught because I was standing in front of the appliance. If not it would have been a big fire. And thank goodness it was not while we were asleep like the other review.
