CALIFORNIA -- We lost our home to a fire 8 months ago. State Farm has been very slow to provide rebuilding costs. When their hand picked contractor did not complete his replacement cost bid, they waited 7 months before starting the process over. They said they could not move forward without it. After we filed a complaint with our state's insurance commissioner, they have talked of being sorry for the delays. Talk is cheap.
Have been their customer 35 years, using the same agent as my parents. He is supportive, but has nothing to do with the fires outcome which is handled by their claims department. It is a "good cop, bad cop routine". Their policy is delay, delay and delay some more. The longer they can keep the money in their hands is to their advantage. This alleged State Farm claims adjuster called me and refused to provide basic identification information that would allow me to validate that she indeed was a representative of State Farm Insurance. Have no idea if she was attempting to steal personal identity information or what? Have contacted State Farm Insurance CEO for remediation. In addition ** (Last Name Unknown) ** was extremely rude and unprofessional. Have contacted State Farm Insurance CEO for remediation about that also.
REDDING, CALIFORNIA -- I have been dealing with State Farm on a claim. They drag their feet, lie about what they say they will do for you. I am not a State Farm client, thank god. Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. My only hope is they will improve. I know it will take a miracle.
MEDFORD, NEW YORK -- About a year ago, I filed a claim for a frozen pipe in my house. After a thorough investigation State Farm approved my claim. After that they did everything in their power to limit what they had to pay. They did not pay for any of our living expenses (about $60,000) and are trying to find all kinds of reasons not to pay it. They also denied coverage for part of my home repairs without giving a reason. I might just have to join the rest of the State Farm customers across the country and go to the press.
