The Worst Customer Service And A Total Rip Off.

Travelocity was more than happy to take our money to book flights, now I realize they are thieves and they were actually stealing our money. We needed to change our flights and so we called Travelocity and they claimed it was not a problem and we could re-book within the year as long as it was with the same carrier and for a small re-booking fee. They said we could put the flights into credit with the carrier. Simple, right?

Then the problem started when we tried to re-book our flight. At least 10 phone calls later and we still cannot re-book flights. They make promises to call you back. They make promises to email you back. They DO NOT ever call you back. I think this is a scam and they are trying to take our money and not have to book flights so 100% profit for them. I STRONGLY urge anyone to never use Travelocity. We still have no resolution and cannot speak to a manager. What a brilliant 'Business strategy' Travelocity - just keep ignoring the customer until the tickets have expired. THIEVES!!!

I booked a flight on Travelocity and never received a confirmation, so I called to requested a copy of my reservation. After being on hold for 2 hours and being transferred to 5 different people, they could not find it and I was disconnected after asking for a supervisor. I called back a again and asked to speak to a supervisor. They transferred me and I was on hold for 25 minutes and then they hung up on me. I called back and the exact same thing happened again. By this time, I was so pissed I could hardly see straight.

I called my credit card company to see if the charges went through, and they did. I called Travelocity back and after another 49 minutes on hold, I got someone who was able to find my reservation. Needless to say, I canceled it and booked through Expedia instead. I started my reservation at 5:00 pm and did not get everything handled until 10:30 that night. Horrible experience. Will never use them again.

ONLINE -- I called to edit the info on a flight reservation I had made on Travelocity. I called the customer service number posted on their website, 1-888-872-8356, as there was no online option to change the info I needed to change, and was on hold for over 2 1/2 hours to speak with a customer service rep, they never did answer the phone. In my humble opinion, they shouldn't even have a customer service number. It is worthless and has no value for customers looking to speak with a person from Travelocity. Who do I charge for my time waiting to speak with a customer service representative that never answered? My time is worth more than what I paid for the ticket.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA -- I made a mistake on booking an airline ticket with Travelocity and immediately caught it and contacted their Customer Service Department. The airline travel agent told me "No problem, we'll cancel that one out and issue you a new travel id itinerary." One month later, no one will correct this, they double charged my credit card for "an extra round trip ticket, and they flat out lie that someone will contact me back."

I'm on my 10th call to them, on hold now for 1 hour, and no one wants to handle this. Thanks to this experience, I WILL NOW ONLY BOOK DIRECTLY WITH AN AIRLINE AND WILL NEVER EVER AGAIN USE A MIDDLEMAN! Trust me, this company is BY FAR THE WORST TO DEAL with if/when there is a problem for them to admit and take responsibility! They only want your money and want you to call the airline directly whom of course, will tell you to contact "TRAVELOCITY" since they booked it in the first place! Go anywhere but here folks!

Worst experience ever, will never use again. I paid 750 for a round trip plane ticket and basically ended up paying over 1000 dollars for a one-way ticket at the end. Plus a new ticket that I had to purchase direct through the airline since Travelocity was of no assistance. They had me wait 72 hours to get a response on the error that was made on the change date that I was charge 350 for. Then to tell me 96 hours later that they couldn't find the recording of the conversation so they were going to side with the agent and my mother was going to be left stranded in another country for a month unless I paid an additional 200 dollars.

Each time I asked for a manager they refused and when I was placed on hold they hung up and when I managed to get a hold of a manager they hung up on me. I was told they would do whatever to keep a customer and they treated me with disrespect and stole my money.

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- We booked our flight 3 months prior to our vacation. Since booking our flight, Travelocity emailed us 3 times on changes on our flight with United Airlines. On the morning of our departure, while at the ticket counter, we are told by the airlines we are being charged a fee of $160 per person for changing our flight arrangements. We informed the ticket agent our tickets were purchased with Travelocity & Travelocity had emailed us on flight changes.

We immediately called Travelocity while standing at the counter and were informed by Travelocity that it was the airlines that made changes, therefore, we need to deal with the airlines. Since we were running short on time and to avoid missing our flight, we paid the $320.00 and decided we would deal with the situation when we return from vacation. It's been over a month and Travelocity doesn't dispute changes were made to our flights but instead they are having us deal with the airlines to try to get our refund.

We are VERY DISAPPOINTED and will NEVER recommend nor use Travelocity again. Sometimes it's better to pay a little more for a travel agent then to deal with this type of situation. It's been so frustrating speaking with a service representative at Travelocity because of the language barrier. We had a difficult time understanding and communicating with the representative. I truly hope Travelocity reads all the reviews and take action.

Horrible Flight Experience - Lack of Communication

SOUTHLAKE, NEW YORK -- The day of my international flight, I showed up at the airport and was told by the front counter that they tried to contact me, but Travelocity hadn't provided any contact info. My flight had been delayed and I would miss my connecting flight. When I called Travelocity to ask why I hadn't be informed the representative said he could see the flight was delayed but had no reason why I hadn't been contacted.

So after about an hour the Delta employees got me going (I would arrive at my destination 10hrs late and miss the free shuttle). But along the way, approx 3 hours after my original flight time I received the email say my original flight was delayed... DUH. Travelocity could have booked me on a different airline that morning as seats were available to get to NYC to catch our connecting flight, but told us we would have to pay $800 extra per ticket. I will never deal with Travelocity again, so much for any sort of guarantee.

VALLEY STREAM, NEW YORK -- I booked a flight for my parents, they sent a confirmation e-mail and a week before the day of travel, they realized their flight was cancelled without their consent. Travelocity claimed that they sent an e-mail and called their home phone but they never received an e-mail and if they called, they never left a voicemail.

They couldn't send me a copy of the e-mail they supposedly sent to my parents and when they did, it was dated that same day I asked for proof, which was proof to me that they never sent an e-mail. Then they claimed it probably went to the spam folder. It was so upsetting specially when they kept telling me there was nothing they can do. This company is horrible and they don't care!

Absolutely Do NOT Recommend Travelocity

I booked a flight in March. The amount I was quoted both online and in the confirmation email was NOT the amount that was actually charged to my method of payment. I called them immediately. They requested I scan and email a copy of my bank statement showing the incorrect overcharge. This was done that day. It has now been 11 weeks. I have NOT received my refund. I have documentation of 18+ emails, as well as 2 phone calls per week over the past 11 weeks.

When you call the customer service line, you are directed to India. There is a language barrier for starters. They are rude and NOT helpful. Every communications I had until 3 weeks ago was them asking me to be patient. 3 weeks ago I started asking for managers.

There is apparently ONE manager in the entire office and he is only there part time. I was advised that a manager would call me back within 2 hours. Nope. Didn't happen. He called me at 10:30 PM. The message he left was almost impossible to understand... but basically he told me that a refund takes 6-8 weeks (keep in mind we were past the 8 week time frame). He also requested that I send an alternate number where I can be reached.

Since then... it's been an absolute joke. I've gotten emails saying my trip has been canceled and they are working to re-instate... Ummmm I already traveled. And still NO refund to the amount I was overcharged. I will never ever use Travelocity again and I will never recommend them to anyone... ever. Complete joke!

Not Guaranteed a Ticket Even if You Get Confirmation

This is absolutely ludicrous. They never confirmed my seats with the airline so they basically can't give me what they confirmed they gave me four days ago for a flight. To make matters worse, they won't even rebook it for the same price! Now the flight prices have skyrocketed and I'm responsible for paying the difference! What kind of service is this?

The customer service representative was completely useless and took like 10 minutes to even understand what was going on. In total for waiting time for him, waiting time with him, waiting time for the supervisor, I waited 45 minutes for nothing. Now, I have to rebook, eat the cost and the time. I will never book through Travelocity again. I recommend you don't as well.
