Sears Home Improvement - Misleading Sales Reps. Not Reliable. No Sense of Urgency to Finish a Job. Liars.
Richmond Home Improvement - Complaint
RICHMOND, VIRGINIA -- Sales reps are very misleading. I entered in on a contract Jan. 2013 with Sears for a kitchen remodel and I had the worst experience I ever experienced in getting a job complete. It took them six months to complete the job. They had no sense of urgency in completing as they did to start. The sales representative advised me what ever new appliances I bought Sears would be installed them because they had to take the old one out they would put the new one in and that was included with the job.
They chose not to tell me that it would be a charge!! I had to make 28 calls in a two month span to finally get the job finished. They would not return my calls and I had to threaten them with contacting a lawyer. They also said my loan would be interest free for the first year. As of today's date which is June 24th, 2013 they are charging interest. This is just the beginning of another battle with them. The things to remember with Sears if they tell you that something is INCLUDED always remember it will be at a high cost to the customer.
They charged me $170.00 to install a hood range. I'm glad I did not mentions to the sales representative that I planned on getting any other appliances as she would have included those in the price as well. The customer is unaware of the charges they charge because they will not give you a itemized price list until you request it. If you are considering hiring Sears I would stay as far away as possible!!!!
