Very upset!
By -

I purchased Bosch refrigerator, dishwasher and gas stove, which I was told they were the top of the line, and that they would never need repair. However the dishwasher never shuts off at the end of the cycle. All lights stay on. The only thing that they did say which is correct is that it is quiet, the food that is stored in the freezer always has freezer burn, and I am now waiting for the second computer for my gas stove. The stove was just repaired 2 weeks ago, and now will not shut off or turn on! I am very disappointed in this product, as I paid a lot of money for them. Should have stayed with GE.

Do Not Buy Bosch

Bosch will not stand behind their products. After 2 months of the runaround we still haven't gotten any help. Ice maker design is defected and after replacing will break again because of cheap plastic design. Motherboard died at 26 months. When we called to complain about 600.00+ in repair parts we were told that since we ordered part and plugged it in ourselves, they would not help us!! It was 2 months out of warranty!

They say we must write a letter and then they will see. Yea, right! Ice maker should only last another 6 months before it will need 100.00 of parts replacement again. I thought I bought a quality appliance. The company does not care what consumers think. Get the word out not to buy from them even their service people who didn't know what they were doing think the product is bad.

Don't Buy Bosch
By -

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Lowe's in September of 2008. It is a top of the line Bosch model and I've had the repairman at my house four times. The dishwasher is quiet (that's the only feature I like about it) but it does not clean the dishes well and they cannot find anything wrong. I clean the filter, use Jet Dry, use the best detergent and still the dishes come out gritty and nasty. They cannot determine what the problem is so I am stuck with a terrible D/W at a costly price. Don't ever buy a Bosch!! Stick with another brand! Can't wait to ditch this!

Bosch EcoSense Makes No Sense
By -

When the Bosch dishwasher that was in my new home went belly up I just chalked it up to an old appliance. My insurance company replaced it with a Bosch EcoSense. This appliance is so poorly designed I am amazed. First, the flatware holder is located in the back of the bottom, meaning that in order to put one fork in I have to open the door and pull out the bottom rack to reach it. Second -- as with all dishwashers, there is a gutter between the body of the appliance and the door when open.

But on the EcoSense when I roll the bottom rack forward it hangs in the gutter, clanging plates and knocking off track. This is particularly true when there is more weight in the front of the rack than the back. Front weight makes it nosedive into the gutter and hang. Some would say load the dishwasher from the back to the front, but I have a husband and a teenager I'm just lucky to have load anything, much less in a particular order. Third, the rack openings for plates are too small on the bottom.

I will NEVER buy another Bosch product. I called to complain and was told that Bosch dishwashers are the design envy of the industry. They were unwilling to help me and suggested I call an appliance center, but what can a local appliance store do if there is no newly designed rack to replace the bad one? I say buy Kenmore dishwashers. They last forever and have great rack space.

Not-So-Quiet Anymore
By -

We had our kitchen gutted and remodeled in 2000 and loved the ultra-quiet Bosch dishwasher. It came very highly recommended, but nobody told us it would be hard to get service, and in its eight year, it started moaning very loudly during the short cycle, sometimes 2-3 times. It sounded like it was about to give up the ghost.

Water also sometimes collects in the bottom. We've had our plumber in and nobody seems to know what the problem is. The kitchen design store that sold us the Bosch stopped selling them because they said parts were hard to get. Now we're doing research to figure out what to buy when this one actually does croak. I loved how quiet and efficient it was for eight years, but don't know if I'd risk another Bosch.

Never a Bosche in Brussels
By -

BRUSSELS -- I purchased a brand new top of the range Bosch washing machine in December 2008. It worked fine for the first two washes. On the third was two weeks after purchase, it did not work. I spent an hour contacting the local Bosch engineer here in Brussels, only to be told that it would be 11 days till he could visit.

When he came round on Monday 26th January 2009 he had no spares with him and could not fix the machine there and then, he explained that he needed to get a new belt, and would be back on Wednesday. I waited in on the Wednesday, my washing that had been building up, ready for a spin. The afternoon came and still no engineer, so I called the helpline. "Not this Wednesday, Wednesday the fourth" was the news I received from the telephonist.

I had already taken two days off work and could not afford another and told them so their response was, "Can you leave the key under the mat". I then explained that "I did not wish to seem rude but I would not like their engineer walking round my home on his own." Their answer was, "Nothing we can do for you then." I will now have to take another day off work and wait just in case someone bothers to turn up. I would never purchase a Bosch ever again.

My freezer went out 2 weeks ago (still under warranty). Technician came out, worked on it, then the refrigerator went out. I have now been without a freezer for 2 weeks and without a refrigerator for over 1 week. Today it was determined that I need a replacement unit, but can take 2 weeks to get it. This is not acceptable. Never will I purchase another Bosch appliance. Bad appliance/bad customer service.

CALIFORNIA -- From the beginning there was a mold problem in the rubber around inside of door. Told to use bleach - dry machine after use and always leave door open when not in use. Now the towels have taken on a terrible odor, probably mold and the company suggested I call a repairman. My suggestion before buying a front load (expensive) machine - review, review, review. One terribly unhappy customer.

Bosch B20CS50SNS Refrigerator Is the Worst! Icemaker Broken, Doesn't Keep Temp in Fridge

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- Bosch B20CS50SNS Refrigerator is the worst! Icemaker broken, doesn't keep temp in fridge. Only had unit for a few years and everything turned to crap after the 1st year. Icemaker freezes over and water spills out of the front of unit because the piece that bends the ice tray is cheap plastic. Now at year 5, fridge won't keep temp. Everything spoils after a few days. Rotten milk, rotten meat, what a piece of junk. Also have an oven made by Bosch, another poorly designed piece of junk.

Icemaker

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE -- My French door refrigerator buttons are so light you don't realize you have pressed the off button. My ice maker dispensing plastic chips (from the ice maker) into my glass, I have swallowed several pieces of plastic unknowingly. Sometimes I can catch them from almost choking. I have had the repairman out several times for other problems. Now an inch sized piece of plastic has fallen into my glass, I guess I'll call the repairman! Truly disappointed in my refrigerator. It is only a year old!
