I have owned the washer and dryer for less than 4 years and in the last week I have had to replace the washer and the dryer quit working. I have been lied to on the phone while they were trying to gouge me for a service call. I paid way too much for Bosch, thinking I was getting a reliable washer and dryer. Bosch is a waste of money and they don't quit with the overpriced appliance. They will try to gouge you again when (not if) it breaks down. DO NOT BUY BOSCH!!
Rubber door seal must be cleaned between each use, or thick scum of black mildew appears. Now 6 years old and it runs OK (don't EVER try using anything but HE detergent or the thing won't work at ALL) but it's disgusting to think my towels and clothes are exposed to bacteria if I don't work at this every use! Who designed this? BOSCH. By the way, Lowe's service was worthless.
We purchased a top of the line Bosch refrigerator in November from Sears. The ice maker stopped working after three months. We had two service calls from a authorized repair service. There is a design flaw and it cannot be repaired. Bosch and Sears is giving us a runaround. We have been fighting ever since. Sears no longer even carries the model. In order to have ice, we have to go out and buy a bag! Can you imagine? Irate in New Jersey.
Right after I bought the new washer and dryer. I noticed a black residue when I opened my washer. The rubber lining that has tiny drain holes was beginning to mildew! Now after I wash clothes, I have to dry the rubber seal on the visible and non-visible sides, it's covered with mildew and I have to leave the washer door open when not in use or all my laundry smells. We bought the most expensive w/d out there and this is what we get! Wow! Thanks Bosch! Should have gone w/ Kenmore again!
HUNTINGTON BEACH,, CALIFORNIA -- Oven has performed well for 5 years with light usage. Bought the Bosch and paid top $$$ to get a product which expected to work for 10-15 years. Well if crapped out after 5 years and now requires $400 of repair work. If you are going to make something this poor at least price it accordingly.
I called Bosch for a replacement disc holder I lost on my MUM 6630 UC which works on with the shredder bowl. I was given a runaround. Once, they don't give part number. I need to find it online which I couldn't. Somebody else told me I need to call a different company which she transferred me and I got a voicemail. The sales rep were nasty with no will to satisfy or help. I was really turned off from purchasing future appliances from them. No service after sale.
ADA, MICHIGAN -- Handle falling off door just over a year old, called Bosch, they said to pay the $79.00 Service call to tighten the handle. Very rude customer service dept at Bosch. Will try to buy American next time if I can! I don't think the handle should fall off that soon. Not a happy customer!!!
MICHIGAN -- I purchased a new Bosch dishwasher in 1998. It squealed at times from what the service tech called low water pressure, which was a lie as my home has above normal pressure for this area. I also had to have the circuit board replaced under warranty but after 3 more years it broke again. It is not worth fixing at this time. It's quiet and does clean well but too many issues for an expensive unit like this. Not going to purchase another one.
