Fridge Dies After 3 Years, Dishwasher 5 Years
By -

VERO BEACH, FLORIDA -- My refrigerator had many problems: It died after only 3 years of use. Paid over $700 for it. The inside cabinet lining is cracked on the exterior wall in the freezer and the fridge. The doors pop when opened. I called the warranty people and they fixed the thermostat but informed me that in order to fix the void in my insulation in the interior cabinet wall he was going to have to drill a hole on each side of the crack and put white tape over it. UNACCEPTABLE! Called Frigidaire myself to inform them of the problem and was given the shaft. I also have a 5 year old dishwasher that died about a year ago that they won't touch...

$500 Failure
By -

COLORADO -- The builder of my home purchased an entire kitchen of Frigidaire appliances. So, I'm sure I will have further postings, but we will start with the dishwasher. The control panel failed - it is dark, dead inactive until I reset the electrical supply circuit breaker. Then the machine lights with "PF" on the panel and will run through one cycle selected by the machine. We have no control over the cycle settings.

The problem appeared after the one year warranty period but the machine is supposed to have a 2 year parts warranty. Electrolux/Frigidaire will not allow me to return the part for replacement - they insist that I have the machine "diagnose" by an appliance technician. Why? If the part I send them is not defective they can simply return it to me. Instead, Frigidaire prefers to hire expatriate labor to stonewall any request for warranty service and to refuse to back their warranty. My take: Do not buy this product. Call the 800 number to sample "customer service".

HOUSTON, TEXAS -- Like many others I have the Gallery Series stainless dishwasher. It is used maybe once a week and is less than 2 years old. This thing is so loud it sounds like it is about to blow up. Like many items, as soon as the warranty is up, get ready for problems. Seems to me there need to be a recall on these dishwashers since this is not the only website with complaints. Maybe I will just head to Twitter or Facebook and maybe this will get the company's attention if they plan to stay in business.

Frigidaire Gallery Professional Series Stove, Fridge, Dishwasher

NEW YORK -- These appliances are junk. We have all three. The fridge and the stove needed to be repaired after the first year. The oven temperature setting does not work, the stove flame controls are inaccurate, the digital brain of the stove needed to be replaced, which is the most expensive part. The repairman said it was the typical part to be replaced. If I could do it over again, I would pay more for better. Perhaps you get what you pay for, but I didn't think these were that cheap. Who making this junk?

I have now issued a second warranty repair for this dishwasher, same problem. Drain Pump not working. I thought that with two user accessible filters would help to prevent the plugging and failure of drain pump, and grinder screen plugging as in last Kenmore failure of a Dishwasher. No units made today that are compliant with EPA energy use guidelines are capable of lasting beyond 1-3 years. I can NO LONGER FAULT the manufacturers only the stupid government that is insisting on Engineering that is not capable with current Technology.

Worst Dishwasher Ever

This is the worst appliance I have ever used. It will not even remove milk residue from a bowl. We wash everything before putting in this piece of garbage. It is brand new and was professionally installed. This is the last time we buy anything from Frigidaire. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. We moved from a house with a 7-year-old Maytag that would remove dried eggs and cheese and will be replacing this piece of junk soon!

Same Common Leak at the Element Nut Barely Out of Warranty
By -

Well it looks like I'm not alone, other on here are having the same problem. A super cheap, low quality nut on the bottom of the heating element leaking down over an electrical part onto floor, very dangerous defect. Please recall the model FDB2410LDS3 before an American gets killed by this overpriced Chinese junk, and start making them in the US again. Forget your stockholders, do right for your customers.

Rusty Results
By -

CORONA, CALIFORNIA -- Purchased a Frigidaire dishwasher and from day 1 every wash cycle leaves what looks like rust spots on ALL of my metallic surfaced items (cutlery, silverware, pots/pans, etc.). I'm the type of person that practically washes everything before putting the items in the dishwasher. I essentially use the dishwasher for sanitation purposes only. And even though that's the case, even though there is really no food residue left on my cookware, they come back looking like they aged 100 years from the rust stains. Is this a dishwasher or a time machine?

Terrible Product

For 15 years we had this noisy Maytag (one minor repair) we always maligned, then finally about 2 years ago upgrade to the Gallery series. OMG - the electrical panel just failed last night (for the second time). The seal on the dishwasher liquid holder leaks, and the top spinner fell off and cannot be reattached - are there lemon laws for dishwashers? And here is the rub, we conserve, so run every 2nd day, and generally run the short cycle.
