LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS -- Sears SUCKS. If you do not pay off a no interest charge within the year they charge you the FULL AMOUNT of one year's interest on your purchase. I hope Sears folds like Wards, Speigels etc... BEWARE OF INTEREST FEE SCAM!!!!

I was promised a 1.99% APR for one year if I transferred a balance, but SEARS - CITIBANK jacked it up to over 28% in just a couple of months. I am very angry right now!!! Why would I transfer from a lower APR for 28% APR? They are stealing my money and wasting my time!!! Don't be fooled... I have disputed it. I will keep you posted on their response. Let's see if they make things right!!!

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- I kept getting letter after letter to complete a balance transfer from a higher rate credit card to Sears for an APR of 4.99%. I did the transfer online and very first month of billing the APR was over 15%. I complained several times and they basically told me to provide proof of them sending these letter after I was literally inundated every time I checked my mail with these balance transfer offers or blank checks.

You got to be nuts to take out a credit card. Just look at the interest rate 26%. Late payment on any of your other charges jumps your rate to 32%. That's why they push so hard to get you to take out a card.

I had used the Sears store credit card for years and then they switched it to be the Sears MasterCard. I used it once and then quit. Why? They start charging you interest as soon as you make the purchase. By the time you get the statement for the purchase, it has already started racking up interest charges. I don't have any other card that does that so I have stopped shopping at Sears all together, even with cash.
