Stay Away From HP Computers

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- I had purchased a Compaq Presario Computer at Walmart (mistake #1 on my part). After 6 months the computer started to reboot itself. I called HP technical support, level 1 support. They suggested it might be a motherboard issue and told me someone will get back to me within 24 hours from level 2 support. 2 weeks later I received a phone call from their level 2 support, case manager. After I explained to him that I use my computer for business and cannot ship the computer back to them, he offered to send on-site technician out and they will overnight a new motherboard to me. Here were all the problems had started.

New motherboard had arrived, was put into my computer. All USB ports are DOA. HP send out a 2nd motherboard. Today the technician came again to replace the motherboard. 2nd motherboard in. 1 rear USB port is DOA, plus the motherboard locked at boot up. So I am back to my original motherboard and after a call to HP their case manager is telling me that the on-site technician failed to resolve the issue. Yes, he failed to resolve the issue because HP send out 2 replacement parts that were both defective.

Now I am waiting a call back from corporate. It was nice for them to send an on-site technician but it is unacceptable for them to send 2 identical replacement parts and both defective. Never again will I buy an HP computer again, and would suggest to everyone to stay away from HP Computers. (Printers are good).

LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA -- On the black Friday of 2006, I went to Circuit City trying to find a deal on a computer and I thought I found one: HP PAVILION A1632X DESKTOP. They were saying that that was a fantastic deal with 300 gb of memory on the hard drive. To initiate with this they sold it to me saying that and it came exactly with 279.43 GB memory. Also it came with nothing but kid's stuff!! Meaning all they did was take all the important softwares out and put nothing but promotion software on the computer and then offer you a deal that is not a real deal, very deceiving.

After I started using this computer about 1 1/2 months of use, it started saying "your trials are about to expire" and the computer started acting up with virus warnings, freezing what I was doing and I found out they were messing with it because my internet provider did all kinds of tests and found no problems. And a tech friend of mine checked it and found no problems with it other than the trial versions of everything was giving me messages to convert to the real versions.

Now 1 year after, I cannot even use a office document because this computer is blocking everything I do. So what did I buy a toy to play like a 5 years old kid??? Please do not buy these ** products from this company. If I qualify for a class action I will be available to participate.

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA -- I have an HP Pavilion Desktop computer and the hard drive has failed. I needed to order the Recovery CDs for the PC and have received one set of CDs that the Geek Squad says is the wrong set. I have since spoken to 12 customer service representatives and a supervisor - some say that I have the wrong disks and some say I have the right ones but the new hard drive is the problem.

I have been told to call different numbers, I have been told I gave them the wrong information (information that I had never given to them in the first place), and I have been told my computer is "very old" so I needed to contact another distributor - my PC is 3 years old. I can't even describe the frustration of running around in circles with this customer service team and dealing with a language barrier at the same time. I will NEVER buy an HP product again.

Got the crap in August. Never worked. But, on the bright side, I learned a pretty good imitation of Hindi from the "technicians" they foisted on me. ** in sunny San Clemente.

I went to HP and told them my problems, they charged me $65 to clean my computer. I had to stay on the phone and computer for 6 hours, I was exhausted, but it was worth it, my computer "the beast" now does what I want it to with no problems. Best $65 I ever spent. THANK YOU HP.

Do not buy any HP products. They do not honor their products/warranties. They are impossible to deal with on the phone/email if you can even get a hold of them.
