Customer Service

GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN -- So far my experience with HP in troubleshooting my problem has been a good one. They are very helpful. Sometimes it takes them a while to get back to you due to their case load. But they always do. I don't know if they do this or not but I'd like to see them at some point take control of my computer and run some diagnostics on their own and possibly print something to one of their printers to see exactly what's going on. I have an Electronics and Mechanical Engineering background and I'm quite detailed in the information I submit to them. Which should be helpful to them. I hope anyway. Thank You .

Printer and Customer Service
By -

FLORIDA -- I have tried to install the printer on my laptop through a router without any success. My firewall was turned off on each computer as the instructions said. I tried contacting customer support online for 30 minutes without any success.

Then I tried calling customer support, after getting past the computer voice asking me every question known to man I finally got a real human voice who assured me he'd be able to help. Then he proceeded to ask a lot of questions, then finally said that because it was over a year old it would cost a fee for him to help me. Since I've had problems with the printer in the past I decided it was in my best interest to buy another printer that wasn't an HP.

Bad Customer Service

Hp has the worst customer service I've experienced yet. They put you on hold for a long time and once you get someone on the phone you can't even understand what they're telling you. On top of all that they transfer you back and forth, promise to call you back and never do. Oh, and of course the occasional representative who doesn't know what they're doing so they hang up on you instead of trying to help. Word of advice... if you need to call them, make sure you have at least 2 hours to spare. Otherwise, it's not worth the try.

Refuse to contact us, Lies,Lies

I bought my son an HP printer/Cop/Fax/ All in One 6110 for Christmas 2004, because he was going into business for himself within the year. He started his business about 3 to 4 months ago and his printer All in One had not been used hardly at all, the ink cartridges that came in it were still good, so that tells you how much use it had.

It will not work. We did chat line and they said it needed to be serviced. Told us it was bought in Nov. 2004. Lie! It was bought in Dec. 2004. They asked us to fax Receipt and they would contact us. NO CONTACT. Now the guarantee has expired, which is why they were stalling I suppose. I have made numerous attempts to contact them. No response what so ever. It is like we don't exist I paid $199.99 for this All in One and I am very angry.

Low-Ink Reminder
By -

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON -- As if the price for ink isn't high enough, I've discovered HP tries to get you to change ink a lot sooner than necessary. I put a new black cartridge in my machine on March 2, 2005. On April 10, 2005, the light started flashing and telling me my ink supply was low. I decided to ignore it until it ran so low I couldn't read the copies.

Today is May 12 and my copies look as good as they did when I changed the ink back in March. Over two months have passed since the time I was supposed to need a new cartridge. Maybe HP didn't plan it this way - I hope not, because it's a good printer and I use it heavily, but still, if they can make a product work this well, doesn't it seem they could make an ink sensor that works right?

Hewlett Packard All-in-One Printer Model 600
By -

TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- I recently updated my computer operating system to XP. When I did this my HP model 600 printer ceased to function. I looked up HP's website and found a driver specifically designed to make the printer work with XP. I downloaded and installed it. It did not work. I contacted HP's online customer support. They responded quickly with a prepackaged e-mail with possible problems and solutions. I tried them all and none worked. I enlisted the help of two friends that work professionally in the computer programming industry. They both also tried the fixes and one even contacted HP for further help.

Neither found a solution and both said "it was a very real problem". I then contacted HP customer support online and asked one simple question. If and/or when would the XP driver for the model 600 be fixed. After seven follow up emails I never got an answer to that one simple question. I have documented and saved all the e-mails if you need to see them. Not once was my question even addressed. They continued to send prepackaged fixes that I had previously told them I had already tried. To this day my printer sits useless with no way that I am aware of to get it working.

To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following: All I want is an answer to my question and to get my printer working again. It is barely two years old and I think I should be able to get some more use out of it or change companies that I buy printers from. At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident.

My laptop is HP so I choose to buy an HP printer. I assembled everything then downloaded the software. When it was time to connect the USB cable I could not find it! In the small print it said USB was not included. Well makes my printer useless. I can't believe a big company would lose customers over 39cent item. Never will buy an HP product again.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- We have been having an ink cartridge problem soon after we bought the above HP printer. Put in a NEW cartridge, print a FEW pages, get a "cartridge needs to be replaced" message.

Printer Will Not Load Paper

Keeps saying paper cannot load. I got online and many people are having issues with the same printer. This cost around $400, and has been used very little. I got a better one for small offices, thinking it would last a few years.

Unhappy With Printer Hp C6280

Got printer 3 yrs ago and problems. Since then, decided today am tired of trouble shooting problems, buying ink. Why can't you use the printer with just BLACK ink instead of having to replace colored inks in order for printer to work at all. Many other problems. ENOUGH!
