Rudeness From a Two Bit Security Guard.

DENVER, COLORADO -- About a month ago, my four grandsons were going to visit me for the weekend. They range from six to twelve and unlike me, they have some insatiable appetites and that was the sole reason to visit Walmart to save a few bucks. I didn't need a buggy so I was looking for one of those totes that you carry around to no avail. So I approach the guard to ask where are they. She gives me this look like I was piece of "you know what" and replies by saying, "We ain't got none" then rolls her eyes. I started to say something but why feed into her ignorance. Haven't been back since and they aren't much cheaper anyway.

Out of Bags

KITTY HAWK, NORTH CAROLINA -- Let's talk about our local Walmart for a moment. I went in Sunday morning, Jan 3rd around 8:30 for grocery shopping. After approx 45 minutes, I make my way to the checkout with my $200 worth of groceries, only to be told by the cashier that they had no bags. She said she would be able to give me one recyclable bag, but I would need to buy a box of trash bags to bag my groceries in… REALLY???

Why should Walmart's poor inventory control be passed on to the consumer? The cashier from the next lane helped to bag my groceries (in my own trash bags PURCHASED from Walmart), and she also stated that this would be the policy in order to handle this from her manager on duty. Once I arrived back home and unloaded all of my trash bagged groceries, I wrote the corporate Walmart office a letter to express my displeasure. Tonight I received a phone call from the manager of our local Kitty Hawk Walmart. He apologized for my experience, and I may have been appeased by this.

He, however, blamed my cashier and said that this was not the way the situation should have been handled. SERIOUSLY??? She was doing what she was told to do by her manager on duty!!! Here's a thought: Why didn't you put a sign on the door letting customers know that you didn't have any bags??? Is this the way that you treat your local patrons??? I live here, work here, and shop here, 365 days a year. We are your bread and butter right now in the off season. We may not have a lot of shopping choices here, BUT WE DO HAVE CHOICES!!!

Do Not Go Here

BADEN, PENNSYLVANIA -- I went there for an oil change, and spent an hour waiting. They call me back to the department and said they could not find my oil filter. I looked it up on my phone and found it in 30 seconds. Then they told they were going to deny my oil change because the oil filter was torqued too tight. They were the last ones to change my oil. When I told them that they change the blame to they tighten up over time. Waste of two hours. Do not go here. You're better off having a 5 year do it. They are jokes of mechanics.

Walmart Interest Rate on Credit Card

LIVONIA, MICHIGAN -- After falling on hard times financially, I called Walmart Customer Service to ask if my 20%+ interest rate might be lowered. I was told no, so I closed my credit card account and continued to make the payments. My minimum payment due was $78, so I tried to set up automatic payments of $107 per month. Walmart made this extremely difficult to do, so my bank said, "Let's just forget trying to set this up with Walmart--we'll set it up for you."

I wasn't even three months into this plan when I got a bill from Walmart with a $35 "late fee." It seemed that they not only wouldn't lower my interest rate, but they actually raised it! My minimum payment was now $109, and bank and I had set up $107 based on the $78 minimum that had been due.

When I called customer service to complain, I was told there was nothing I could do about my interest rate because my account was closed (And yet they had no difficulty in raising the rate when it was closed). I told a friend about my experience, and she shared my outrage, saying, "Let's just cut their interest altogether. I'll pay it off, and you just pay me back."

Not wanting her to do that without gaining anything, I told her I would pay her back at 11% interest. My friend gained 11%, I saved 11%, and Walmart lost 22.9% interest plus two customers. This is a company that seems to me to be inflexible, spiteful and greedy, and I am glad to take my business to places where I feel respected and appreciated.

Watch the Prices That Ring-Up While Cashier Is Scanning All Your Merchandise

BIXBY, OKLAHOMA -- I've noticed this with the same Wal-Mart store (Bixby Ok) several times since Feb 15th 2015 (four weeks). Wal-Mart will advertise a sale price say $1.00, you get a few of the items. When you get home and look at your receipt you'll notice that the so-called "sale" item advertised as $1.00 actually rang up as $1.50. This exact scenario happened to me this past weekend. I purchased four items advertised as $1.00 but they rang up as $1.50 each. So Wal-Mart made an extra $2.00 off of me that I did not plan on spending. A freak thing? I think not. I've had this exact same thing happen to me four times in the last four weeks.

I now think this is a small scam that Wal-Mart does. They advertise low price, you decide to buy it, it rings up at higher price - you get screwed. Most people will not take the time out of their day to go stand in the long lines of Wal-Mart Customer Service with merchandise and receipt to get $2.00 refunded to them. Who has time and extra gas money to do that? And I am convinced that Wal-Mart knows this. I complained about it to a manager and she did do a price check and match the advertised price on their in-store sign but it made everyone in line behind me wait and hence, get irritated at me, and, the cashier was downright hateful to me.

Wal-mart has gone downhill so much: dirty stores, hateful employees, shelves not restocked, only carrying certain brands that agree to Wal-Mart discount pricing etc. I'm no longer a Wal-Mart shopper. I'll take my money somewhere else.

No PIN Required for Purchase

MT OLIVE, NORTH CAROLINA -- I stopped this morning to purchase some yogurt, went thru the self checkout line and when I hit the key to finish my purchase and pay for it... it gave me my receipt. Never asked me for my PIN number. I found a store employee and told her she needed to have someone check out their POS machines and she told me that if the purchase is under $50.00 Walmart does not ask for a PIN. So much for security!! Someone could steal a card and stand there all day and as long as the purchase didn't go over $50, they could bleed your account dry.

Vision Center Not a Walmart Vision Center

TUCSON, ARIZONA -- At Wal-Mart store #3377 on Valencia Ave, Tucson, Arizona the vision center is not a Walmart vision center. Even though all the advertisement in the center says otherwise. It is the only vision center inside a Walmart in the Tucson area that is not a Walmart vision center.

If you have your eyes examined here and try to purchase glasses, bifocals glasses with scratch resistance and transitional lenses will cost about $360.00 for just the lenses. The same glasses with the frames at a Walmart vision center will be around $200.00. I was told to take the prescription any where I want. The problem is by going somewhere else the company who did the exam does not have to stand behind the glasses and the company who makes the glasses does not have to stand behind the prescription. Thus the beauty of a true Walmart vision center. They will stand behind it all.

This to me was a blatant case of false advertising and all Walmart vision center advertising should be removed from this vision center and the leasing company should divulge they are in fact not a Walmart vision center

Rip Off Price on Penn Practice Tennis Balls at Walmart.com

ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- Walmart sells their Penn Practice/Coach Tennis balls at Walmart.com for $4.99 a can. When I pointed out to them other online retailers sell this product for $1.79 a can the person I spoke to at Walmart.com said it didn't matter and $4.99 was their price. Even the label on the can says these tennis balls have defects and are for practice only. Walmart even sells the real Penn Championship Balls for $2.53 per can. I just point this out to show how unreasonable and ridiculous Walmart can be. I don't think real humans work at Walmart.com -- just hypnotized robots.

Alicia Is a Horrible Associate!!!

RIDGELAND, MISSISSIPPI -- Alicia is a horrible WalMart associate. She was very rude and unprofessional. I guess she did not want to be bothered because she started telling me that they did not have the product that I was inquiring about before I could finish my sentence... and they did have the product in question. She acted very childish, trying to argue back and forth with me.

Finally, I asked to see the manager who was evidently a friend of hers. Alicia was standing next to the manager smiling while I was describing what happened. I rarely go to WalMart but decided to go in with my family. It was a terrible experience. WalMart needs to do better. Be careful who you hire... your competition has competent people working. After this layaway process, I know I will not be back. As for Alicia... well I am sure she will continue giving bad customer service... and will retire at WalMart!!!:-)

No Fabric or Canning Supplies!

Rating: 2/51

FRIENDSWOOD, TX -- I recently moved to this area from Gilbert, AZ. I loved my Walmart on Gilbert & Germann, it had everything I needed. The shelves were well stocked, clean store, and friendly employees. That is not the case at the Friendswood, TX store. This store has no fabric department and there are no canning supplies! Not even canning jars. The store is always dirty, and the shelves are not kept stocked. The produce section is the worst, the bins on a lot of what I need are empty. I hate having to go to multiple stores to get my shopping done.

Every week, I go to another chain store to get their sale items and look at the other items on my list. As I stand in the clean, well stocked produce section, but higher prices, I think "I will go to Walmart, it is cheaper there." I get to Walmart, and sure as **, the bins/shelves are not stocked and the produce is lacking quality. I can't remember the last time I saw a 'yellow' banana there. The choices are green and brown. #walmart
