ELK AVE. ELIZABETHTON, TENNESSEE -- I went to the Elizabethon, Tn. Walmart on 2-6-13. Me and my husband proceeded to lay our purchases on the counter and the cashier said we were laying too many things on the counter and refused to check our groceries out until we took put some things back in the buggy. Well, I took some things off the counter then when I started putting them back up there, she said, "I told you not to put all that stuff up there," stopped the transaction, so I just put one thing at a time on the counter to the ** rang everything up.

I was so upset. Me and my husband couldn't believe the way she acted. I was so embarrassed. When I got back to our car I called the manager and told her what happened, she said that she would have a talk with her. I have never had a problem with any other Walmart except the one on Elk Ave. The cashiers are always rude. I will never go back there again.

NORTH BERGEN, NEW JERSEY -- I turned in $6.50 worth of coupons before starting the checkout. Your cash register girl forgot to scan the 7 coupons and told me I have to go to the customer desk, which I did. After waiting 30 min. the girl at the cust svc counter said I have to return all seven items and then buy them back before she would refund the $6.50 for the coupons which SHE forgot to scan. By this time I was fuming. I have to pay for her mistake. If you people don't send me a check for $6.50, I will never shop at WALMARTS again.

Worst customer service I've ever seen.

DAYTONA, FLORIDA -- When I emptied my cart I left two heavy items in the cart. As it was, we had to wait on the customer in front who had forgotten their wallet. They made a quick run to their car. Not an issue. The gentleman apologized over and over for the wait. Again not an issue. When it came time for my order to be rung up, my husband let the cashier know in advance we had two extra items in the cart to be scanned. The cashier said..."It would have been easier for me if you put them on the counter." My husband replied, "I thought I was doing you a favor." The cashier replied..."Well you didn't. This takes me longer to ring up."

To say the least both my husband and I were stunned. I too, work in the customer service field for over thirty years, and I don't think this could be your policy for your associates to treat your customers with such disrespect. I feel it is my obligation to let you know of this person's behavior. The store I visited, while here on vacation is in Daytona Beach, FL. The customer my husband and I waited on, showed more courtesy. I am one of several Sr. Administrative Assistant at PSC.

Cashier Was Very Disrespectful

ASHLAND, OHIO -- Took my daughter and niece to Walmart last week, they had their own money. We were in line and I let them go first, I was on the phone not paying attention and they had a couple of boxes of Pop-Its. The cashier told them they weren't old enough to buy them and when my daughter told her that her mom would buy them she ripped them out of her hand and took them to the service desk. I didn't know what had happened till I was paying for my items and the cashier had never said a word to me. All the cashier needed to do was explain what was going on instead of being a rude disrespectful person. I didn't appreciate her acting like that to my 11 year old.

Poor Customer Service

MONTICELLO, INDIANA -- It was 9:40 on a Thursday night. I got to Walmart and got the items I needed. While making my way to the checkout, there were only 3 lanes open and the place was packed with lines wrapping around. Your employees just stood around when there could have been more lanes open with how busy it was. Then I asked a lady working if she would scan my 24 packs of coke because I have a bad arm and she said just to type in the number while I was at the self serve lane... The woman was just standing around. She could have helped me but declined. So, I asked my daughter to help me. Please do something about your poor service or I would like to speak with a manager.

Thanks to ** at the Pasadena Wal-Mart for her great customer service time and time again.

PASADENA, TEXAS -- ** waited on me with a smile, she was courteous, helpful, she didn't make me pull all the heavy items out of my cart. She came to my cart and rang them up without me having to lift them. She was quick, efficient, packed my bags according to like items, didn't over-pack or underpack them, and gave me outstanding customer service, like you used to get a long time ago. This was the first time ** checked my things out for me.

Lo and behold, I was at the Pasadena Wal-Mart again, this time it was early evening and a cashier walked up and asked me if I'd like to have my items checked out right away. She helped me walk my cart over to her register, checked my heavy items first, without making me pull them out of the cart, then asked me how I was doing. She was quick and courteous and extremely pleasant.

As I was thanking her for good, old-fashioned customer service, I realized it was the same woman who had given me such good customer service a few days before. Because it is so hard to get good CS these days, I wanted to specially commend ** for truly making a difference in my shopping experience. It was so refreshing. Thank you Wal-Mart for hiring people like **.

Coupons

SEGUIN, TEXAS -- I live in Seguin so it's the closest big store. They fight with a consumer over every coupon, they use words, not to use them, but yesterday they did one better. I had used Schlitz razor coupons, then yesterday a woman says you can't, she was standing right next to a manager 2 days ago who said they are good. When I confronted her, saying you were there when they were approved, she says "that was Sandy".

They are the rudest cashiers about coupons. Seems like something that benefits the manufacturer and the buyer would be their business. They deliberately mess with it and they take the coupons and put in their box and often don't run them. So shoppers watch your receipt's and what your spending. I always know what I am spending. Seems shopping has become a challenge in Seguin Texas, and if you don't believe me take some coupons and check it out.

Easier to Say "No"
By -

CLERMONT, FLORIDA -- I was just there grocery shopping and had Publix coupons for ANY size, any lotion or face product of St. Ives. There was no exclusions anywhere on the coupon and did not say anywhere that it could not be used on travel or trial size and had no minimum oz requirement. It was $1 off ANY and the woman behind me in line is an extreme couponer and she said Walmart was wrong. She has their coupon policy and nowhere do they say coupons are not good towards travel or trial size (unless the coupon says this).

She says she always has problems with Walmart. The employees don't seem to know what the policy is and it's just plain easier for them to say no. The manager Mary and the other cashier were very rude to this woman who just wanted an explanation why they wouldn't take my coupons and wanted to see where it said not good on trial or travel size. Walmart needs to get their act together about coupons.

MoneyGram
By -

On Sept/29/2011 attending clerk at Customer Service Sylvia at 6:54 pm processed and an incorrect MoneyGram that took forever. I advised that the complete name had to be on the MoneyGram for Mexico's standards, but she decided to argue with me and say that she doesn't see why they wouldn't be able to retrieve the Money if they have the reference number. "Customer is always right, which I was" I requested for it to be fixed and to my knowledge another cashier fixed it but somehow could not present a new receipt. Next time if someone doesn't know what they are doing that has to do with International Transfers, do not place them in that position.

Walmart Hires Mutes!
By -

VIROQUA, WISCONSIN -- I went to my local Walmart today only to discover that they hire mutes! The cashier did not say a single word to me and my boyfriend when we went through her checkout. I do not know the cashier's name because her name tag was on a lanyard hat hung down so low it was behind the counter. It also does not say her name on my receipt. But I was so shocked. No hello, good afternoon, did you find everything okay. She didn't even say what my total was!

And when I left she just handed me my receipt and did not even say thank you or have a nice day or anything! I was so shocked. I was making comments to my boyfriend while we checked out hoping she would say something. But, she did not say a single word. My conclusion is that Walmart has now started hiring mutes.
