Bad Experience - Oil Change
By -

TEXAS -- I did my oil change at Walmart, several months later I had an oil leak. I took it to a trusted mechanic (Has been using his service for more than 10 years), and was told the oil leak was the result of a poor quality oil filter. (my car is only 3 yrs old, with 33 k). Usually I do oil change at other places, and never experienced any problems -- but I thought to give Walmart a try. I am not going back to Walmart for oil change, again.

Oil Change

I got an oil change at Wal-Mart in Alamo, TX. Whoever did the oil change tighten the filter as if it was never ever ever going to get changed again. I broke one tool to get filter untighten and now the filter split in half. Now I have to pay $600.00 to remove the filter. Don't ever ever go to Walmart to get oil change. You will end up with a big repair bill like me. Change the oil yourself, it cost 14.00 dollars.

Theft During Oil Change

MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA -- In early Jan 2011, I took my car in for a routine oil change to the Walmart at Myrtle Beach, 29577. I learned my lesson. My IPOD was stolen out of the compartment between the front seats. Don't make the mistake I made and pass this along -- get and oil change and lose your valuables at the same time!

Wal Mart St cloud FL broke my window

SAINT CLOUD, FLORIDA -- Aug 5, 2010. Avoid their Tire and Lube Express like the plague!! I brought my car there for an oil change in July 2010. My rear power window that worked fine when I left the car with them was stuck half down when I got it back. The claims management department denied my claim, told me they had no proof that the window worked when I left it. Here's my proof: IT WORKED UNTIL THEY BROKE IT! Filed a complaint with the corporate office today, I will follow up with details when I get them. So far, not impressed...

Bad Service

REDDING, CALIFORNIA -- I had gone to my local Walmart to get my oil changed. Prior to driving down there I had called and asked when they closed they told me 6:00 pm. I said I was on my way. I got there at 5:55 pm and they turned me away. They said they had 2 cars to do in the bay. I drove to the side and watched them the cars in the bay were done. Just waiting till 6:00 to pull them out. Bad Service I will never return.
