Hmm, where do you live to have rust already? I also owned a 2010 F-150 and had none of these issues. I hope a man-to-man talk with your dealership would be helpful?

On what grounds did Ford deny your warranty claim? The visibility of the instrument panel should've been apparent before you bought the truck. The brake should be a valid issue, I'd have to see the driver's seat to make a call on that, This truck likely has the 6 speed automatic which will shift more frequently than the older 4 speed automatic. The rear axle ratio really doesn't impact the quality of the shifting itself. But the transmission may have a fault, the rust warranty doesn't cover surface rust, just rust that eats all the way through, though on a truck that new it shouldn't be rusting at all, though you do live in state where they use alot of salt on the roads, in which case it's a good idea to run your truck through car wash with an undercarriage sprayer after every big snow storm.
