WICHITA, KANSAS -- We have only owned this dishwasher for two years and it does a horrendous job of adequately cleaning dishes. We constantly have issues with dishes having food scum on them and the soap dispenser continuously leaving a clump of soap in it after the dishwasher completes its cycles. To say the least, we've been very disappointed in this dishwasher's performance, or lack thereof.
JONESTOWN, TEXAS -- I have just had a stance with customer service "experience". The repairman who looked at my Whirlpool Dishwasher bowed his head, then told me that the motor was deceased. WP customer "experience' called me to tell me that I could get 50% discount off the price of the motor @$112.48. Then I would have to install it. BUT, IF I DID INSTALL IT THERE WOULD BE NO GUARANTEE ON THE MOTOR! (A 90 day warranty if a certified tech did the job). GENEROUS HUH? I told them to forget it.
STOUGHTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- After reading the detailed complaint how Whirlpool is trying to get consumers to buy new appliances instead of replacing dishwashers that can basically catch fire if you use the rinse aid function, I won't even bother. I just wanted to add that when I called the toll free number it transfers you to a busy signal. The paperwork also conveniently omits the model numbers that are affected- which would have made things much easier for all involved, no?
I and my mother both purchased a Tall Whirlpool dishwasher. After the purchase we received a letter that there was a fire hazard with the machine and to stop using it immediately. A repair was scheduled. They tried to charge me for the repair even though the product was faulty. I complained and the company agreed to pay for the repair. My poor 82 year old mother paid because she was too shy to fight for herself. I would never buy a Whirlpool product again.
